Company "A" came to inspect the furnace, told me it wasn't safe, and that I needed a new furnace. I felt some pressure from the technician to get one the following day. I told him I wanted to do some research before getting a new furnace. I called Marsh for an estimate on a new furnace. Jay came out, and suggested it might be wise to have them do an inspection to see if the furnace needed immediate replacing. (Also, he sent me a very reasonable estimate for a new furnace the following day.) Technician Rick came out - inspected the furnace, cleaned the dirty flame sensor, which Company "A" failed to do, and told me my furnace is safe to operate. I really respect Marsh's integrity. There was no pressure to purchase from them. When I do need a new furnace Marsh will be on the top of my list for consideration.
