Had three windows in need of repair. Brick molding rotting. Otherwise windows in acceptable condition. Was given estimate on replacement versus repair. Opted to go with repair. Brick molding removed and new brick molding replaced (painted at no additional charge). Also, sills (rotting) removed and replaced. Windows look and operate great. While repairing windows found siding section on roof that was rotting due to moisture and replaced at nominal charge. Bathroom work looks and works great. Also thought price was "spot on"

COUNTERTOP NOT BUILT TO SAFETY SPECIFICATIONS. WOULD NOT BELIEVE CUSTOMER SO THE CITY INSPECTOR HAD TO COME OUT TO HOUSE AND INFORM THEM WHAT HAD TO BE CHANGED. ONLY THEN DID THEY REPLACE COUNTERTOP. IN DOING SO THEY DAMAGED THE CABINETRY AND MADE NO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR.

The countertop looks great and fits perfectly. Select Surfaces did a great job. First, they came out to do detailed measurements of the countertop and then had the countertop made to fit. The amount of countertop was relatively small. On the day of install, a person removed the old countertop and the sink, and installed the new countertop. The sink (I kept the overmount sink) and faucet were reconnected the next day. Although they forgot to caulk a small area on the underside of the countertop, I had my painters caulk it when painting the kitchen. The only thing that I'd do differently would be to remove everything from below the countertop. They had to do some grinding of the countertop to adjust the fit, and as a result, there was a layer of dust on everything. But the work they did was very good, and I'm happy with the result. Porcelite Bathtub Refinishing
We had removed all articles from the countertop and removed the sliding shower doors from the tub and therefore he just carefully masked everything around the items to be resurfaced, ventilated the area and went about his duties without any interruptions to any of us who were still in the house. Both countertops look great. The contractor made an error ordering the trim piece for the bathroom countertop, but addressed the issue by ordering new pieces with no additional cost to me. Most importantly, the contractor did an excellent job standing up for me when the manufacturer made two different production errors. The manufacturer made a dimensional error with one section of the kitchen countertop on the first order, and later, they constructed the countertop using the wrong color selection. Both times the contractor saw to it that the errors were fixed and I ended up with the countertop I wanted

I am writing this review instantly after service has been performed because I am AMAZED!!! I saw the ad for Porcelite in my quarterly Angie's list mailer & was a little skeptical that they could really refinish my bathroom countertop, tub & tile and make it look like new. It was in really bad shape prior to service. The team from Porcelite was so professional and helpful, gave me a quote over the phone, and then were in contact to schedule the apt, sent me reminders, etc. Andy even arrived a little later than his normal start time so that I could take my daughter to daycare and get back home. He was very professional and upfront about the services being performed and what to expect. He offered great suggestions and was happy to answer all my questions. I found him to be a very honest and nice guy, which is hard to find these days! After slaving away in my bathroom all day - I am truly AMAZED at the results. It really does look like brand new!! GRANITE TRANSFORMATIONS
Sue came to our home to provide information, samples, and give us an estimate which turned out to be quite accurate. About a week later, the templater came to take the precise measurements needed to build the countertops. Since the old countertops had integrated sinks, they will completely replace the countertops, not cover them as they typically would do. Two weeks later, they came to install the countertops. When they removed the old countertop in the master bath, they found a few problems with how it was installed. They had to cut some tile on the wall in order to install the new countertop the right way (not like the old one was done!). They did such a good job, you would never know there was a problem! They took the old countertops and left both bathrooms clean and neat

It all went great. From start to finish was sooner than I expected. We had Formica and decided to replace it with solid surface Livingstone acrylic for the countertops and ceramic tile for the backsplash. In order to support the overhang on one side of the countertop a 1" steel frame was needed as support which, in turn, raised the countertops up by 1", which created a gap between the cabinet base and countertop. Normally there would be an additional charge for the trim needed to cover the gap, but because we had to wait a few days before finishing due to the tile guy having a family emergency, that cost was waived. Nice! All in all everything went smoothly and I love the outcome

COUNTER PRODUCTIONS
Jon gave me an estimate the same day based on my measurements and then arrived the next day to see my kitchen and write up the contract. He was able to schedule my project in two weeks. Jon arrived promptly on the scheduled day and kept me updated on his progress. The job took a little over a day and a half. Jon did his best to keep the sawdust to a minimum. As expected, there was still some clean-up involved including disposing of the old counters as there was no added cost of a dumpster. Jon did accommodate me by cutting the old counters into pieces to fit into my trash. Also as planned, I was responsible for staining the wood edges of the countertops that I chose. Jon has a limited number of edge types that he can provide but I am very happy with the edge I chose. I think it has more of a unique, custom look to it than the standard edges. My counters turned out beautiful and Jon was very personable to work with. I think his countertops are an excellent value for the money

I had granite countertops installed by another company about 3 years ago. They did not do a good job of installing the countertop. The seam in the counter top broke and one side was lower than the other. I did not want to use the original company for the repairs. I called a few installers however; I was told they were not interested in fixing this problem. My last call was to this company. Within two days of my call, the owner was at my house and looked at my counter top and he had an employee come to my home a few hours later to fix the seam. The employee was very professional and explained everything to me and did a great job of repairing the seam. If I ever need another countertop again this company will be my only call

What was interesting is that the company sent out "specialists" for each phase of the job. The "demo" person came out in the morning to remove the old counters and sink. Then, in the afternoon, the counter guy came and installed the new counters and back splash. The following morning, the plumber arrived to install the sink and faucet. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. The workers were prompt, courteous and friendly. The work professional. The only little glitch was with the back splash which was a 14-inch high piece of formica adhered to the wall behind the sink. The next morning (Thursday), after the installation, the top 3-inches of the back splash was pulling away from the wall. I emailed Jon, my VIP contact, with the problem and suggested a metal trim be used as a cap to both support and finish the back splash. The counter guy came back the following Tuesday and repaired the back splash to my satisfaction. My preference would have been to have the back splash repair completed a day or two sooner instead of having to wait five days. But I would not hesitate in recommending them or using them on a future project

The project went great. We were worried about inviting a construction scene into our home right after we moved in, but figured it was best to get it out of the way and start enjoying the renovations. The hardwood floors were damaged from the previous owners larger pets and the carpet needed replacing. The walls also needed new paint and a fresh look. Those were are immediate concerns. However, after inviting Snap in we decided to dig into the rest of the projects we had on our list to just get it all over with. We have other friends in the building and wanted to create something that was unique since most of the units look the same. We had them rearrange the cabinets and add a built in wine fridge that looks great. The new cabinets looks and perform great, we love the automatic soft close drawer slides and soft close hinges on the cabinets. The hood was custom built of stainless steel from a local artist they have a connection with and looks really good. It is hard to explain, but looks as though it was a factory finished piece until you get close and realize the work that went into it. We had them install new counter tops as well that have charging units built in for cell phones. The 1.5 bath was a complete overall. This was the one disappointing place when we first bought our home and where they really cut corners. There wasn't a lot of room for creativity in there so we went with a really clean look with an all glass shower, new vanity, and tile throughout. All in all I think they did a great job. Communication was great and helped us both to stay at ease. They also did a good job cleaning up each night. The only issue was an area that needed to be repainted that we noticed some flaws in after the finish. They came right out no questions asked and repainted it and felt compelled to write them a good review for the excellent service. Too often people just want to talk about the bad, so thanks

I ordered the wrong size countertop and in reality, it needs to be custom made. Ben discussed options, provided measurements and assured me he would work me in to get it installed before Thanksgiving. He prepped the wall where the entertainment center was, and will be back to sand and prepare surface for painting, install new baseboard, etc. We also ran into surprises with the entertainment center and Ben proposed options. Ben was very professional, flexible and helpful. He cleaned up after project, including hauling away debris. We will definitely call Handy Rite for additional projects, and recommend them to friends and family

Initially, my wife and I met with Dan (the owner) to go over our kitchen remodel ideas, floor refinishing and fireplace repair. Dan asked us a lot of questions on what we wanted, wrote down a lot of notes and took measurements. Within a week, he provided us with a very detailed cost estimate of the project using average costs for cabinets, granite countertops, etc. and went over everything in the estimate. We decided to go with Country Creek Builders after meeting with 2 other contractors. The project then went as follows: - Met with Dan and Del (the cabinet guy), to come up with specifics of the kitchen design. They were easy to work with and provided us with good suggestions and great design ideas. - Once the cabinets were designed, we picked out granite, tile, sinks, faucets, lights, etc. - The estimate was then revised based on the cost of what we picked out. This gave us a more realistic cost estimate of the project based on the upgraded cabinets and the more expensive granite we picked out. - We were then presented with a detailed schedule for the kitchen remodeling and the smaller projects. We knew exactly what was going to be done each day and when the entire project was to be completed. - All work was completed within the scheduled times and the quality of work was excellent. - The cost of the entire project came within the estimate. - The new kitchen came out great. The hardwood floors and fireplace also look great. - My wife and I were extremely pleased with how everything turned out and would recommend using Country Creek. - Very honest, easy to work with and quality oriented. No surprises. We will definitely use them for any future remodeling projects

I had this work done a while ago. I sometimes think you should wait a while before reviewing someone to see how the work holds out. I couldn't have been more pleased with this contractor's work. He arrived promptly and didn't push to upsell. He worked quietly and quickly. I am so very happy with the way my tub looks. My only suggestion would be to consider options to prevent the tub bottom from being slippery if you use it for a shower

This is our second big job with Eric. We chose Dynamic Edge after having a negative experience with a Home Depot granite install in our kitchen. For this project, we needed a large amount of granite for a kitchen renovation and 3 smaller pieces for bathrooms. We selected a slab from Ansum and Ash for the kitchen. For the bathrooms, we went to the fabricators and were able to select our pieces from remnants, effectively reducing by the price by 40%. It took a while for the pieces to be cut, but it was well worth the wait. The fabricators use a laser guided system for laying out the pieces, ensuring that the pattern continues on corners and backsplash - resulting in a seamless, beautiful look. The corners are done with a French miter. The staff at Dynamic are helpful and polite. Highly recommended

We struggled with old and failing bath tub faucets for several years. Our plumber was able to band-aid things on several occasions but the fixture needed to be replaced. Unfortunately it could not be replaced without tearing out the tub wall and once the wall was torn out the entire bath would need to be redone (old house/continuous old tile all around). We picked Mark from Angie's list several years ago when we first considered this project because of his good recommendations and his willingness to provide labor only services. When we finally decided to do the project this year, we re-evaluated our choices and still determined that Mark was our 1st choice. We found Mark to be a skilled workman with good attention to detail and diligence for the task. His honest, reliable communication throughout the entire project was most appreciated. Perhaps most impressive was Mark?s unflappable attitude and perseverance despite numerous setbacks and obstacles. We had predictable obstacles like crooked walls and un-level floors, but also unique carpentry and tiling challenges. He made intricate tile patterns appear square when the floor was not and overcame a bulge in the wall in a very conspicuous spot among other things. The constant we could rely on throughout this project was that Mark would find a satisfactory solution and that he was always working to get things right. Through it all, Mark was patient, professional, and his pride in workmanship shows in the final product. We are very pleased with our "new" bathroom.

I was really impressed with the granite looking finishes they showed me. They were able to schedule an appointment for me pretty quick. I am so happy with my new glass shower enclosure and my countertop - it looks like real granite to me!! The job was quick and, after obtaining a few estimates, I can tell you this company had the best rate. I would definately use them again.
