My experience was awesome! This company was a pleasure to work with. Everyone was very helpful. They provided a free estimate and brought samples of glass shower doors and countertop finishes. I was really impressed with the granite looking finishes they showed me. They were able to schedule an appointment for me pretty quick. I am so happy with my new glass shower enclosure and my countertop - it looks like real granite to me!! The job was quick and, after obtaining a few estimates, I can tell you this company had the best rate. I would definately use them again.

Great! I called Steve for an estimate and he was at my house in an hour. Went over the samples and estimate thoroughly. Showed up on-time when the work was to be performed. Prep work took over 6 hours - very detail oriented. He warned me about the smell of the chemicals - it was bad. Countertops look fantastic! It was worth the smell!!

I was bringing my kitchen into the 21st century, but I didn't want to replace my oak cabinets--they were solid but just very dingy. I first contacted SCCS because I'd seen a flier about their cabinet refinish process. In Nov 2016 Tony visited and talked about the different options for refinishing. I mentioned that the cabinet endpanels were pretty ugly (cheap plywood that didn't match the oak finish) and Tony said they could replace the end panels, and also some other trim that was pretty crummy. Tony wrote an estimate good for 4 months & said they would follow up but not bug us. He also mentioned that he worked with a good outfit for quartz countertop installation--something else on my list. Tony's crew ended up installing our countertops and then coming back a month later for the cabinet refinish. The countertop installation was fast--less than a week from measure to install. The only glitch here was that we thought the installers would call to set up a time for the installation--they just showed up Monday morning (fortunately someone was home that day!). The cabinet refinish took more time than originally estimated but Cheryl gave us plenty of notice on that work. The refinish crew did a great job but left a few varnish splashes on the wall which I didn't notice for a couple days. Also, I didn't like the look of the new cabinet endpanels--the color and gloss didn't really match the cabinet doors. I e-mailed Cheryl about these things and the crew was out the next day for the clean up and some additional work on the endpanels. The quality of the work was great. I love my beautiful new cabinets and countertop! I appreciated Tony & Cheryl's willingness to accommodate my work & travel schedule, and (except for the countertop installation) they were always communicating by e-mail or phone if they were going to be late or if there were any schedule changes. I rated "B" on price--the prices were right in line with other estimates I received.

Had three windows in need of repair. Brick molding rotting. Otherwise windows in acceptable condition. Was given estimate on replacement versus repair. Opted to go with repair. Brick molding removed and new brick molding replaced (painted at no additional charge). Also, sills (rotting) removed and replaced. Windows look and operate great. While repairing windows found siding section on roof that was rotting due to moisture and replaced at nominal charge. Bathroom work looks and works great. Also thought price was "spot on".

Miracle Method of Roseville

This was an awful project, from scheduling mistakes, to the sales guy not bringing all of the laminate materials to the meeting, to the wrong countertop color ordered, the incorrect cabinet molding ordered and installed, and very poor workmanship by technician on the cabinet boxes and sides. I never should have gone forward with this project but was told I would be 100% satisfied when it was completed. I was told there would be some seams but they would mostly be hidden. That is not the case - there are uneven seams, bubbles, and mistakes in my kitchen and bathroom. The owner, Justin, stood in my kitchen and demanded that I pay the bill in full before these issues were resolved. The technician left before the project was completed but the owner still expected to be paid. This company does a good job with refinishing tubs and countertops but the Roseville/Fridley location owner and management need much improvement with their customer service and the technician needs to be more precise to detail when working in kitchens and bathrooms, and complete the job before leaving. I now need to hire a contractor to repair what this company charged me for and left a mess.

COUNTERTOP NOT BUILT TO SAFETY SPECIFICATIONS. WOULD NOT BELIEVE CUSTOMER SO THE CITY INSPECTOR HAD TO COME OUT TO HOUSE AND INFORM THEM WHAT HAD TO BE CHANGED. ONLY THEN DID THEY REPLACE COUNTERTOP. IN DOING SO THEY DAMAGED THE CABINETRY AND MADE NO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR.

Select Surfaces

The countertop looks great and fits perfectly. Select Surfaces did a great job. First, they came out to do detailed measurements of the countertop and then had the countertop made to fit. The amount of countertop was relatively small. On the day of install, a person removed the old countertop and the sink, and installed the new countertop. The sink (I kept the overmount sink) and faucet were reconnected the next day. Although they forgot to caulk a small area on the underside of the countertop, I had my painters caulk it when painting the kitchen. The only thing that I'd do differently would be to remove everything from below the countertop. They had to do some grinding of the countertop to adjust the fit, and as a result, there was a layer of dust on everything. But the work they did was very good, and I'm happy with the result. (Cost: $3,804)

It went great. After visiting several stores that handled countertops as a sideline and one specialty warehouse, Troy is a breath of fresh air. He only does countertops, really knows his products, and is very cost competitive. He was a great help in picking out the type of countertop and colors to match the bathroom.

Both countertops look great. The contractor made an error ordering the trim piece for the bathroom countertop, but addressed the issue by ordering new pieces with no additional cost to me. Most importantly, the contractor did an excellent job standing up for me when the manufacturer made two different production errors. The manufacturer made a dimensional error with one section of the kitchen countertop on the first order, and later, they constructed the countertop using the wrong color selection. Both times the contractor saw to it that the errors were fixed and I ended up with the countertop I wanted.

We had removed all articles from the countertop and removed the sliding shower doors from the tub and therefore he just carefully masked everything around the items to be resurfaced, ventilated the area and went about his duties without any interruptions to any of us who were still in the house. Andy was the salesperson also and I was impressed by his professionalism during the total project. I would recommend this firm again.

Recent Review: Excellent. Although the company claims work can be done in one day, it took about four days at our house. However, the work was done correctly, right on budget, and we are very pleased.

Recent Review: The remodel went very well. I was especially pleased with John, the project manager, who was very responsive to my many questions. All of the craftsmen did a fine job and were very professional and friendly. The work was done in a timely fashion and the price was good. I have recommended this company to others several times already.

Recent Review: The project went great. We were worried about inviting a construction scene into our home right after we moved in, but figured it was best to get it out of the way and start enjoying the renovations. The hardwood floors were damaged from the previous owners larger pets and the carpet needed replacing. The walls also needed new paint and a fresh look. Those were are immediate concerns. However, after inviting Snap in we decided to dig into the rest of the projects we had on our list to just get it all over with. We have other friends in the building and wanted to create something that was unique since most of the units look the same. We had them rearrange the cabinets and add a built in wine fridge that looks great. The new cabinets looks and perform great, we love the automatic soft close drawer slides and soft close hinges on the cabinets. The hood was custom built of stainless steel from a local artist they have a connection with and looks really good. It is hard to explain, but looks as though it was a factory finished piece until you get close and realize the work that went into it. We had them install new counter tops as well that have charging units built in for cell phones. The 1.5 bath was a complete overall. This was the one disappointing place when we first bought our home and where they really cut corners. There wasn't a lot of room for creativity in there so we went with a really clean look with an all glass shower, new vanity, and tile throughout. All in all I think they did a great job. Communication was great and helped us both to stay at ease. They also did a good job cleaning up each night. The only issue was an area that needed to be repainted that we noticed some flaws in after the finish. They came right out no questions asked and repainted it and felt compelled to write them a good review for the excellent service. Too often people just want to talk about the bad, so thanks!

Recent Review: I ordered the wrong size countertop and in reality, it needs to be custom made. Ben discussed options, provided measurements and assured me he would work me in to get it installed before Thanksgiving. He prepped the wall where the entertainment center was, and will be back to sand and prepare surface for painting, install new baseboard, etc. We also ran into surprises with the entertainment center and Ben proposed options. Ben was very professional, flexible and helpful. He cleaned up after project, including hauling away debris. We will definitely call Handy Rite for additional projects, and recommend them to friends and family!

Recent Review: We sought bids for multiple projects on our home from three different contractors. Plumbline Builders was by far the most attentive and thorough contractor during the first walk through. Roger, the owner, listened to what we were looking for and offered his recommendations to make our home a reality; and he did so in a manner that kept us well within our budget (being that Roger has 30+ years in the business, he was very knowledgeable). He really took the time to understand our needs on all levels. All the people he employs and subcontracts with were extremely friendly and did great work. All projects were completed above our expectations, and we'll definitely use them again in the future, and also recommend them to family and friends. As much as we were happy to see everything completed, we were sad to see them go.

Recent Review: Initially, my wife and I met with Dan (the owner) to go over our kitchen remodel ideas, floor refinishing and fireplace repair. Dan asked us a lot of questions on what we wanted, wrote down a lot of notes and took measurements. Within a week, he provided us with a very detailed cost estimate of the project using average costs for cabinets, granite countertops, etc. and went over everything in the estimate. We decided to go with Country Creek Builders after meeting with 2 other contractors. The project then went as follows: - Met with Dan and Del (the cabinet guy), to come up with specifics of the kitchen design. They were easy to work with and provided us with good suggestions and great design ideas. - Once the cabinets were designed, we picked out granite, tile, sinks, faucets, lights, etc. - The estimate was then revised based on the cost of what we picked out. This gave us a more realistic cost estimate of the project based on the upgraded cabinets and the more expensive granite we picked out. - We were then presented with a detailed schedule for the kitchen remodeling and the smaller projects. We knew exactly what was going to be done each day and when the entire project was to be completed. - All work was completed within the scheduled times and the quality of work was excellent. - The cost of the entire project came within the estimate. - The new kitchen came out great. The hardwood floors and fireplace also look great. - My wife and I were extremely pleased with how everything turned out and would recommend using Country Creek. - Very honest, easy to work with and quality oriented. No surprises. We will definitely use them for any future remodeling projects.
