Reviews in St Louis for Installing Pergo Flooring

LOWE'S HOME IMPRVMT WAREHOUSE
1.0
Horrible. The floor was installed incorrectly and Lowes will not do anything. The Pergo floor I spent thousands of dollars for looks horrible and is delaminating. Lowes will not even send someone out to look at the floor. They put Pergo over an existing floor, this is what happens when you do that. We trusted that Lowes knew what they were doing. They did not. Now we are stuck having to pay to have the floor they put in ripped out and a new floor. DO NOT USE LOWES FOR FLOORING AND EXPECT ANYTHING BUT MONTHS OF BEING PUT OFF AND THEN THEM STATING THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU!

Reinhold Flooring
5.0
I had Steve Reinhold come to the house for an estimate on removing the existing flooring and replacing it with ceramic tile. The crew came out a week or two later on time. They covered everything in tarps to avoid covering the carpeting in the hall with dust. They removed the existing 2 floors and replace a rotted section of wood where the old toilet had been and then installed a new ceramic tile floor. The crew were very good at explaining the process before they started. Everything went smoothly. I have used Reinhold to install Pergo flooring in our lower level?, a wood floor in our entrance hallway and ceramic tile in our laundry room. They have always done a great job. I am going to have them tear the carpeting out of the master bedroom, hallway and guest bedroom in the next month or two. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are professional and do a A+ job.

NEXT GENERATION
4.0
Next Generation did an adequate job refinishing our floors in general, but damaged the home and had a surly employee. They broke a window in a patio door, and did eventually pay for it to be replaced, but also scratched up a Pergo floor that we weren't refinishing, and they wouldn't take responsibility for that. They also had a very rude employee, who tried to convince me to sand down and refinish pine stair boards, and sanded lead paint into the air in an attempt to show me how it would look. I had him removed from the job. The price was very favorable. The head of the company was great, and did take responsibility for the work.

Squeak Stoppers Llc
5.0
We have Pergo flooring, and have developed some squeaks in several areas of our house. Called Squeak Stoppers and scheduled an appointment. I was impressed with Angie's List raring and reviews. During the on-site inspection, I was impressed with the information and inspection process concerning our problem. On the day of repair, they were on-time and were professional and efficient throughout the repair. Jeff, (the repairman) explained what he would be doing. He corrected all the squeaky issues and cleaned all the work areas he had been in. We are very pleased with the work and the attitude of the employees of Squeak Stoppers. I give this company an "A" rating and will recommend them to my neighbors and friends . Way to go!!!

Samantha and Mike were awesome to work with. They followed up promptly to my Angie's List post, and gave me an estimate for the job the following business day. They started just two days later, and tackled a pretty large job that consisted of an old floor that was very poorly installed. Mike and the team ripped out the old floor and replaced it with an amazing new one, and great looking baseboards as well. You can tell these guys take pride in their work. All of the employees were very polite and respectful of our property. They left virtually no mess behind either after the work was completed. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have new carpet or floors installed.

Brizco Flooring LLC

I ended up calling the POLICE! First, BRIZCO FLOORING LLC and I never did agree on a price nor was I given anything in writing when the job was verbally bid.. We disagreed on the bid price. I said I would pay one amount, he argued he was worth a different amount. I told him I had one estimate for a similar amount but that was for doing all the porcelain flooring AWA the laminate and I had another one that was far lower for doing what he was quoting, the 8 or so tile in front of the doors and the laminate. We discussed this for some time and never reached an agreement. He simply said he would begin on Monday, return on Friday and left. At that time I assumed he had agreed to accept what I offered to pay. I had printed the instructions on the installation of the PERGO XP product and had read it several times AWA called PERGO. When BRIZCO FLOORING LLC showed up to bid the work and when they showed up to begin work I offered to share that with them along with information I had from the company I paid to give me an estimate and do a material list of what I would need to do the job. Based on that companies' estimate and home visit, the material was ordered and delivered to my home and stored in the LL for some weeks. I now had that company estimate, another companies estimate and was getting one from BRIZCO FLOORING LLC. Things started off OK. It wasn't too long tho when I noticed that the owner wasn't intending to install the product according to the PERGO RECOMMENDED specifications. First off the BRIZCO FLOORING LLC Owner/installer told his helper he didn't need to put down the rolls of plastic that I had. When I told him they had to be put down he looked aggravated with me. I told him the instructions said it was mandatory and should have an 8-12 inch overlay on the plastic so as act as a moisture barrier between the earth, the concrete and the product. I was alarmed that he was either ignorant of the product OR was trying to cut corners. Before any flooring was cut I inquired about the type of saw blade he planned to use and what he told me wasn't what PERGO recommended. I then told him I had purchased the blade they recommended and it was on our saw in our storage room and he could use it and that I preferred he at least use the blade. The blade cost about $43.00 but the regular blade could be purchased for about 10% of that cost or $5.00. I knew I wanted to follow PERGO'S guidelines as I didn't 't want to void the Product Warranty or have a poor installation job done. He used our saw, blade and power cord to do the job. When they left on Monday I was relieved but also alarmed he didn't know or care about what he was doing. I talked to him about all the bags of floor leveling compound that were going to need to go down in the 2nd room and he just ignored me and said that wouldn't be necessary. In the past he said he just used roofing shingles to level floors and he left for the day. I looked over his workmanship and a portion of it was OK., except the hallway where the leveler wasn't down when he started the job and it never got any put down and you could tell the difference when walking on the floor.and I made a note of the damaged areas I had concerns about as well. When they returned on Friday I pointed out the areas I was concerned about and he said he would fix them. I stayed downstairs all of Friday and started setting my husband's office up and listening and observing. Like on Monday, we shared small talk but when I told him it would be hours before he could install over the leveler he would have to put down, according to the leveling Manufacturer's and PERGO's specs, he looked angry and said there was no way he was using the leveler, that he didn't care what they said but that and quot;it wasn't necessaryand quot;! PERGO says there shouldn't be more than a 1/8 drop over a 4' area. We again disagreed. I then pointed out there was a drain in the floor in the 2nd room which he acted surprised to know and that the floor surely had a drop towards that drain. We talked/argued about this for some time and he took a level and crawled around the floor and in minutes said it was just fine. He did agree to put leveler around the drain area. He didn't read the instructions on the leveler and was mixing it using a wrong paddle on the end of a drill. Things had gone from bad to worse. He did whatever he wanted, and flew thru that rooms floor and it really shows. Towards the end of a 5.5 hour day he wound everything up and and quot;demandedand quot; I pay him in full immediately. The job wasn't finished and I was caught completely off guard. When I told him I wouldn't do that he walked way too close to me and again, louder, demanded I pay him in full. I again told him I would pay him part of it but that the work wasn't yet complete, I hadn't had a chance to examine it or walk on it and that I would pay him $1,100 of the $1,300 I had said I would pay. I reminded him I didn't have their Insurance information, a written estimate, a copy of the Warranty or a Lien Waiver. and he knew the job was not finished. He stormed outside and got on his phone and was shouting at someone. I went upstairs to get my checkbook and decided to pay him the $1,300, which I gave him a check for. By now I could feel how really angry he was. He screamed at me I would have all that paperwork any minute now and slammed out of the house. I had locked the upstairs doors and I then locked the downstairs doors. A half hour or so went by and I looked outside and was surprised to see he was gone or had moved his van. I looked out other windows and was then pretty sure he had left my property. Part of the paperwork was sent to me shortly. I went downstairs to start cleaning up and realized I was left with a mess. By 4:30 I realized there was damage I had missed seeing and sent him a text at 4:44 PM on Friday July 18 and we texted back and forth a few times. I started receiving text messages from him on 7/25 @ 9:38 am that were clearly both angry and I felt threatening. I called a friend who advised me to call the POLICE she knew I was now afraid of At 10:18 according to POLICE RECORDS I called the POLICE and OFFICER PINKHAM, BADGE # 4009 came to my home. The POLICE OFFICER talked to me at length. I gave the POLICE OFFICER a BRIZCO Flooring LLC Bs Card and he went outside and called them. The POLICE OFFICER came back in my home and gave me advice on what I should and could do and said he told Mr. BRIZCO (AKA Jearl Eugene BRIZENDINE), BRIXCO FLOORING LLC not to contact me again. We will see each other in Small Claims Court on September 3, 2014.

TLC Flooring
5.0
We used TLC flooring 2 years ago to replace all flooring on 1st floor with Pergo. They did an AMAZING job! We have two large dogs and needed flooring that would hold well with the dogs and our active lives. We couldn't be happier! So two years later we decided to replace the construction grade carpet upstairs with some nice thick carpet. We again called TLC, but also received bids from the top two rated Angie's List carpet companies (CC and M's Flooring). TLC's bid was competitive and also included door trimming (which we knew we would need with the thicker pad and longer thread carpet). Other companies charged $35 per door which would have added an additional +$400 to the price! Joe from TLC came out and measured our home. He also explained where all the seams would be and how the scraps/edges would be used for maximum coverage (while still looking nice). We went out to TLC's flooring distributor in Earth City to choose the carpet and were given the bid from them on the carpet price. TLC ordered the pad from the manufacturer, so that saved us even more money. They moved the large furniture, removed the old carpet and hauled it away, trimmed the doors, and vacuumed/cleaned up nicely afterwards. Overall- VERY pleased. They were very accommodating to our schedule. Always timely on getting back to us on our questions. Extremely friendly. Overall really nice guys, with great products and superior service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

CVM Enterprises Inc.

To say these guys did and awesome job is an understatement. I couldn't be more pleased. This was a very difficult job. The floor have had carpet for years. The carpet was old looking and worn, however the floors were even worse underneath. There were missing planks, uneven soft spots, vinyl floor tile half taken off, it was a mess. Cid came to the job knowing the floors were horrible. I gave him full disclosure over the phone. I really anticipated him seeing the floors and walking away. A few days prior that's what happened with a different company. Cid was very personable, professional, knowledgeable, informative and fair. He laid out exactly what was going to have to take place with the job and then did the measurements. Now came the part me as a customer dread, the quote. I was floored when he gave me the numbers. The quote was very fair and he said he could get started right away. I was having three rooms done. It took a day and a few hours to complete. The crew worked very diligently to complete the job. They also cleaned as they worked. When they were done the floor looked great. The crew put everything back as they found it. With CVM you can't go wrong. I highly recommend them for your flooring needs.

Recent Review: We were in the market for new flooring throughout our home. We have had carpet covering hardwood for several years (20+) and had considered refinishing it but had heard that it was very expensive and didn't even know how it would look since it had several staple marks from the carpet. We were referred to Champion Floor from the chamber of commerce and they came out and went thru our options while keeping our budget in mind. We ended up going with the refinishing and were even able to customize the color to match the rest of our homes decor. They also installed vinyl flooring in our kitchen and eating area and new (matching) baseboards throughout. Champions installers did a great job and our salesperson, Kristen, was always available and answered all of our questions and kept us informed throughout the project. It was definitely worth the investment!

Recent Review: Darryll and his crew at GA Chott went out of their way to take care of us. Before getting some foundation work completed, they came over to help us prep (removing old cabinets, taking out drywall, etc). After the foundation work was completed, they helped us put back the cabinets we wanted to keep and installed new LVT floor. They have done numerous other repairs, most notably the installation of a garden window (pictured), installing new blinds on the garden window, replacement of a patio step (pictured), and installation of ceramic flooring. The crew was considerate, friendly, and professional. Upon our request, they wore masks while inside the home (to help protect a family member with preexisting conditions). I can't say enough good things about them!

Recent Review: no other flooring companies would take the job as we are currently living in the house and cannot perform let them completely rebuild the subfloor to remove squeaking of the old wood floor. Gary sent his workman Bruce to work nonstop in our house for two days and drove a hundred nails to the spots where it squeaks. although it is not a permanent fix, it solves most of the problems. it is a great relieve to us as we just had a baby.

Recent Review: The process took about four business days. All floors were sanded and finished with three coats of polyurethane. Additionally the closets in the entryway and the bedroom were refinished. The bedroom had a good size black area most likely animal urine that could not be sanded; the area had to be replaced. Blake Floor also replaced a couple areas that previously had floor sockets removed so there was a hole in the floor. The floors are beautiful and one would never know there was the black area in the bedroom that had to be replaced. They have a less dust service available for an additional fee, which I did not take. Blake Floor does warn to expect a lot of dust. There is dust afterwards but I just took the vacuum cleaner and cleaned it all up. The overall cost was reasonable and Blake Floor did an exceptional job. I never knew my hardwood floors could be so beautiful.

Recent Review: We hired Forever Floors to refinish our maple kitchen floors that were in terrible condition. The original coating had been gone for years, the floor had so many deep scratches, in-bedded dirt, gauges and an area that had water damage. The floor was seriously in rough shape, it was embarrassing. I hired Forever Floors based solely on the reviews from Angie's list and I'm so glad I did. Nick and Susan did the MOST AMAZING JOB! Our floor looks brand new, it is STUNNING! I can't believe, nor can anyone else, that it is the same wood floor. Nick is a true craftsmen when it comes to hardwood floors, nothing is rushed and the job is done with excellence. For that reason, they may take longer then other companies to complete the job, but that is because of the quality of their work. They put FOUR coats of protection on the floor, that is unheard of. One top coat and THREE coats of Polyurethane. They were so patient while I choosing my stain color. Nick did several test areas so I could really see how each stain would look. Susan is a master at picking out the right color. I was trying to match my existing dark oak wood floors. My kitchen floor was originally blonde and I so badly wanted to stain it dark. I had done research online and found out that Maple floors are next to impossible to make dark with because they do not take stain well. I told Nick that I really wanted to go dark with floors and I would leave it up to his judgement if he could make it work or not. Boy, did he make it work!!! I could not be happier with my choice to go with Forever Floors. They are the only company I will ever hire for refinishing or installing hardwood floors in the future. Their pricing was SO reasonable and Nick and Susan are just very nice people to be around. I promise you, you will not be sorry if you hire Forever Floors!

Doug helped us find the perfect flooring for our new home, even doing a virtual consultation with us since we were not in the local area yet. What do customers in Saint Louis say about Pergo Flooring Installation?

They did a beautiful job and it is just gorgeous. It took them two days to complete the work. The installers were extremely professional and they spoke English. They were punctual and did not mess around. They went and got any supplies that we had forgotten to buy. They took really good care of us.
