Very happy with the work. Bruce is very professional and friendly. His responsiveness is examplary and that is so appreciated. He had some suggestions for solutions to things on my list that I had not thought of. He also was kind enough to provide me with a referral for a job that needed the expertise of a plumber

I ordered the shutters in March and was advised it would be estimated 8-10 weeks to receive and install. After 10 weeks I had to call for a status and the person I spoke with had to call the company that the shutters were being made by. I received a call back that the material (fiberglass) was on backorder for another month. I called after that month was up plus a couple of weeks and the shutters were in. I felt like I was managing the project vs. them staying on top of things and keeping me advised. Quality was good, service was not

I'm extremely pleased with the entire process and the final product. This is a family owned business and they take a lot of pride in their workmanship and products. I originally stopped by their showroom because I pass it everyday on my way home from work on Hwy 101 in Santa Clara. The lady in the showroom was very nice and took the time to show me the different materials and options they have. I scheduled an in home estimate and the owner Wayne came out and took basic measurements and gave us an estimate. The price was very competitive compared to the other bids we had already received. It was a no brainer, we signed the estimate right way and paid a 50% deposit. Wayne's son Ted came to our home about a week later and took precise measurements and helped me match the color to my existing trim. I was given an expected build time of 6 weeks, which is about normal compared to the other estimates I was given. 5 1/2 weeks later I got a call and was told my shutters were ready and I scheduled the install for 3 days later. Two guys came out to do the install. It took them about 45 minutes per window. They took their time and were very meticulous. I am a stickler for small details, if something is even a little crooked I will notice it and it will bother me. I honestly cannot find any mistakes, they did a fantastic job. They caulked the trim around the window/shutter frame and even caulked the stops on the inside of the window where it touches the window sill. All the nail holes were also caulked really well, I can barely find where the nails were placed. They were very careful with their equipment and cleaned up all their mess. They laid a blanket down on my wood floors to organize their tools on and even had a foam square that they set on my countertop so that their tools wouldn't damage the granite. Overall I am very pleased with the finished product, but mostly I am pleased with the level of customer service I got. The whole process was very easy and everyone I came into contact with was a pleasure to deal with. I will be recommending them to friends and will be using them again if I ever move in to a new home

Cechinel Siding & Windows
5.0
We hired Cechinel a second time because we were pleased with a door repair project they did the prior year. The work on this second project was extensive, and they did a great job. Our windows and doors are mostly over 30 years old and the house is even older. They repaired and replacing deteriorating wood frames and sashes, adding insulation, and generally refurbishing existing structures. They also repaired and painted our entry way, as well as one of the main walls. Finally, they obtained and installed new shutters to match those on the rest of our townhouse. Our unit is 3 stories tall with a sunken area in the back, and they were able to bring the proper ladders and build scaffolding to do the work. We and our neighbors were pleased with their neatness and politeness. Great price and quality. It looked nice, and we really noticed the difference during the winter after the work was done, when we had hardly any drafts around the windows

I couldn't be happier with my new bathroom. Dawson is a wonderful project manager; she coordinated the right people from HRH to perform each of the tasks and made recommendations that were very helpful. My house is over 50 years old, so, needless to say, the WC and vanity spaces are small and not "today's standard". I ordered most of the material from Amazon, and the vanity from Home Depot; Dawson was instrumental in insuring I ordered the right sizes. The HRH work was completed with excellent quality, on time, and all workers were professional throughout. Dawson was able to recommend and coordinate the selection and installation of the new bathroom vanity countertop with one of her vendor contacts, and that made it really easy. Dawson is very responsive and communicated with me every step of the way. I feel very comfortable working with her, as well as all her handymen, who are punctual and courteous. HRH also hauled away all the crates and boxes at the end of the project, which I appreciated very much

OSCEOLA WINDOW & DOOR

Joe returned our call quickly and came around to give an estimate. He said that he would be at our home at 10 am and on the stroke of 10 he was there. He covered the floors with cloths and protected the carpets and walls as he removed old windows. He cleaned up as he went and even brought a vacuum to clean any dust. All in all we are very happy with Joe and his work

Fascella Construction Corp
5.0
We were faced with the unhappy necessity of replacing all the stucco on our home, a major and costly prospect (costly especially because of the size of the home). Now that the job is completed, I have to share how really happy - and relieved we are - that we chose Chris Fascella for the job. I put "good" instead of "excellent" for the price because his bid was the highest, but really it ought to be "excellent" because it was worth every penny to get the job done right by the right person. Also, the other bids were for more cosmetic options, rather than doing the job correctly, and would not have been a good route to go (see next paragraph). We are selling our home, and a prospective buyer brought their own expert to review the work being done on the house. Chris met with them to explain what his crew were doing; he had photos of every step of the work to show them, and he guaranteed the work for at least a decade. The buyer's expert confirmed that the work was being done absolutely correctly, and that it was not just a cosmetic fix - which would not have lasted nor have had nearly as attractive a result. As important as the work, to me, is to have a contractor who stays in contact, who meets deadlines, and whose crew shows up when scheduled! Having had bad experiences with others in the past, it was such a relief to work with a professional - especially for a job of this magnitude and expense. We often needed to be away during the work, and Chris kept us up to date on the status through texts, photos, and calls. He offered to keep an eye on the house in our absence, and it was only because he was consistently walking through to check on our home, especially after each of numerous heavy winter storms this past winter, that a frozen & burst pipe was discovered in the basement and the damage was contained. He handled this repair, which included remediation of the damage, repairs on a full bath in the basement, the replacement of all the carpet, replacing dry wall and painting. The stucco work had to be shut down during the cold winter months, but as soon as spring finally arrived, he had his crew working on every good weather today, including weekends. The house looks beautiful. I can't wrap us this review without mentioning his office manager Marilyn, who is an efficient and charming person to work with. There's simply no replacement for working with professionals who care

Home Preservation Services
5.0
I hired Home Preservation after reading a fairly extensive article about them in the SF Chronicle. I was a new home owner and am (shamefully) hopeless about DIY stuff. Don't want to do it, don't want to learn how to do it, and, most importantly, simply won't do it. What H/P does is take the burden off me. That alone is worth the cost of the service. I am confident that my house will not fall down on my head because every aspect of it is checked and tweaked 4x year. I just refinanced it and the guy who came in to inspect the house on behalf of the new lender noted that it was and quot;well maintained.and quot; I can assure you that his assessment had nothing to do with me, and everything to do with the nice folks at H/P
They're excellent with the materials, installation, the price, and the whole thing. Nothing else compared. You get a higher quality product at an equivalent or lower price than some really cheap crap. They just proved to be excellent. It was a pleasant experience. I'll absolutely use them again and I highly recommend them
Great. Corinne Mar, the design consultant, came out to our house and was extremely helpful to us in making the right choice for our blinds. The blinds arrived on time and were installed quickly. We are very pleased with her service and the quality of the blinds.
The installation and setup of my home theater project led by Audio High went amazingly well. The Audio High guys were all very knowledgeable and, after I provided them with a budget, they made excellent recommendations for components and speakers that fit within it. They also did an excellent job of demoing speakers and components for me that were slightly outside of my initial budget which did get me to splurge a bit, but in the end I'm glad I did because the system with the higher end speakers and components they recommended sounds and looks amazing. Regarding the quality of the work, I waited 6+ months to write this review because I wanted to ensure that I'd used every facet of the theater before doing so and it is now clear to me that the quality of the work is outstanding. For example, the voluminous in-wall wiring that had to be installed was installed meticulously, with every wire run, tied and labeled with precision, and the custom programming of the RTI control system was done thoughtfully and with care to cover my every use case. And, most importantly, the system has worked exactly as designed at the outset of the project. Regarding responsiveness and professionalism, the Audio High team is incredibly responsive and professional. In six months+ of use I've had one minor issue when the RTI control system lost contact with the Anthem receiver, and after sending an email to the Audio High team asking how to fix it, I received two separate responses within one hour with suggested steps to take to resolve the issue. When my first attempt didn't work the Audio High guys offered to come to my home within 48 hours to fix it, however, they subsequently asked a few more questions of me and were able to correctly diagnose the problem and help me fix it over email without an onsite visit and at no charge. Outstanding and responsive service. Regarding price, I give them a "B" on price because I did receive one other proposal from another home theater installer in Silicon Valley for the same project and it came in at approximately the same price (it was difficult to precisely compare the two proposals because not all the recommended speakers and components were identical). However, I am very happy with the expert product recommendations and advice that I received from Audio High and with the quality and thoughtfulness of their installation, so from a value-for-money-spent perspective I feel the price was an "A". All in all I would absolutely use Audio High again and in fact will do so in a year or two when I'm ready to upgrade my projector and install additional in-ceiling speakers for Atmos
Stephan and his staff did a great job painting the shutters on the 2nd floor of our house. Very professional and reasonable price. He showed up early and worked quickly. Carefully protected area from drips and damage. Cleaned up when done. Will call on him again for future projects.

Jamie replace the old shutters on our Mom's home. His professionalism, workmanship and prices were so good that we went on to use him to replace interior and exterior doors. He is honest, dependable and the products he uses are top notch and reasonable priced. My brother is a contractor and he rated the quality of the work outstanding. Jamie went above and beyond to assist us in finding a painter and locksmith for the doors since we live out of town. We recommend SRD&W and Jamie w/o any reservations whatsoever. They really provide outstanding service and workmanship at a modest price. We would use them again in a heartbeat

Job was done well and workers were prompt, competent and efficient. While I'm sure the shutters meet all hurricane codes, etc, I don't feel they are quite as high quality as others on the house. First, they are somewhat higher than the windows and expose some siding above the windows which is not particularly attractive. Suspect they are standard length panels and originals were custom-cut to size. Second, they use velcro straps to hold panels in the open position rather than the superior pin and hole arrangement used on the originals. Other than that, the shutters are completely satisfactory. I would use the company again, but would check quality of product to be sure it was what I expected
The two owners came and clearly explained shutter construction and installation. Even though they were a bit more expensive than other bids I felt they would do a quality job. The engineer came a few weeks later to finalize measurements. There was a bit of miscommunication at the beginning of the job since the owners had promised that all existing shutter bolts would be removed and filled--the crew was not prepared/willing to do this. After several conversations with the office the situation was corrected and all bolts were removed and filled. I was told that the installation would take 4 days it actually took 8 days. The crew was always very nice and helpful
