Clean CrawlSpace Inc

The estimated price for sealing the crawlspace and putting in the sump pump was $10000. They offered to do my sump pump for $1600. Their estimate was very expensive. A sump pump shouldn't cost $1600. They lowered the cost to $8500 for the sump pump plus sealing the crawlspace with plastic. They wouldn't go any lower than that. I got the crawlspace sealed by another provider for $3000 and then I got a sump pump put in by a plumber for $1100. I was able to get the job done for less than half of their estimate. The person who came out to give the estimate was polite and nice. He seemed like a decent guy. He did a good job with the estimate but their price was just too high. He came over late but he called ahead in advance and they responded to my email. I would not consider them for another quote in the future

Drainage Pros

Don't be like us and wait until a hundred year storm hits in the middle of a drought and floods your garage. Take care of your drainage projects now. Drainage Pros completed a French drain and sump pump project for us in January 2022. We knew when we bought the house last September that the house didn't have adequate drainage, but we thought we had some more time to figure it out before it would cause an issue. Enter Huge Storm, October 2022. Our garage started to flood because there wasn't adequate drainage and our crawlspace filled up with water. While my husband was outside soaked to the bone (picture Jack on the door with Rose in the middle of the Atlantic, it was sad) trying to finagle a Home Depot plastic drain solution to save our belongings, I called Drainage Pros. Unfortunately I wasn't the only one with this idea and the earliest appointment I could get was for January. Jonathan was assigned as our project manager and did the first assessment of our project. He was super professional and easy to talk with to plan our project. It was easy to get a hold of him throughout the project and ask questions as needed. Our job consisted of installing a French drain around our entire house, and a drain that connected our downspouts. It also involved tunneling under our concrete walkway in the front and replacing some concrete. It also involved installing a surface drain along the front of our garage and connecting that to the system. Based on our site elevation we also had to install a sump pump and discharge line to the street. I'm a civil engineer and I've taken on some home projects, but this was probably one of the biggest ones we've had to do so far. Lots of dirt moving, big holes, concrete work, electrical. They had to take apart part of our back deck to access the back side of the house and they put it back together sufficiently. Our foreman was Javier, and we really enjoyed working with him as well. He was super professional and new what was what. The whole crew worked REALLY hard, and did an excellent job. I was pretty nosy and took pictures the whole way and they were very accommodating to me. We also have animals and kids, and they were accommodating to them as well. They were good about covering holes and ensuring safety when they were off-site. The project was supposed to take three weeks and they got it done in two. I really can't say enough good things about our experience with Drainage Pros. They did a great job. I would absolutely hire them again based on our experience. The owner, Richard, came out and did his own inspection after the project was done. He was a delightful guy to talk to. And lastly I'll note that this crew left our house/yard/property in better shape than they found it. They put rock and sand back where it was supposed to go and even made us a nice walkway with some existing brick we had. Very happy with this project

ATLAS PLUMBING & ROOTER

I had used them before and was very pleased so when the sump pump we bought at a local hardware store and installed ourselves did not empty the water from our basement, I called them. They were the only company of the 5 I called who came out the same day and looked at my problem. We have finally had so much rain that it over ran our french drains and started coming into the basement. They came on a Friday and had to order a bigger pump. They returned today, Monday, and are installing it the right way which we did not do. the noise from the old pump was so bad our daughter could not sleep. I am very happy with their service and they are the first company I will call with any future plumbing needs

Harry Clark Plumbing & Heating

Harry Clarke responded with a fair estimate for work to be done for the East Bay MUD certification. Although they were not able to do the work immediately, we agreed on a start date and they followed up as planned.. When working on the sewer lateral, they noticed that the discharge pipe for the sump pump needed work. The work was done promptly at a reasonable price. The tenants/new buyers noted that Harry Clarke was responsive in answering their concerns regarding the sump pump work

These guys were better than fabulous. They explained everything that was needed and why. They were great communicators and great workers, and even dealt with a difficult neighbor situation. They could not have been more diligent and concerned. Plus, their prices were extremely competitive - and they offered 10% off their already great pricing. I will NEVER use another plumber

A menu price estimate was given, which does not break out the labor cost nor the material cost. I asked the company several times to specify what brand and model of sump pump they would use consistent with the estimate. All they would give me, despite repeated requests, is the name of the manufacturer of the pump, not the model number. Therefore I was unable to determine what I was paying for in material and labor costs respectively. I called a handyman who quickly diagnosed the sump pump problem as a clog caused by debris. The debris was removed and the pump now works well. There was no charge by the handyman

First trip was for the diagnosis. The Plumber assessed that the sump pump was old and underpowered. He recommended a replacement with a pump that would not sporadically work and that would have more "push" to the ejection. The second trip was for the replacement of the sump pump and performed by another plumber. The quoted pump was not going to fit in the space under the utility sink and the new recommended pump was going to cost more than the quote. Furthermore, the larger (taller) pump would require the hole in the bottom shelf under the sink to be enlarged to remove the old sump and drop the new one in place. At the end, the cost was more expensive that I expected, the first plumber hadn't thought through the entire replacement process, but the second plumber was excellent and professional. I had a coupon through Angie's list that offset a little, but as a one time investment, I have a new powerful sump pump that is going to go the distance, and I don't have any more leaks

I was very pleased with work done by Perez & Perez General Contractors. My building walls were damaged by rain. Edwin was fair in pricing of the drainage and concrete work required. The estimated time for work was accurate. If an unforeseen problem arose, he would inform me. There was a further drainage issue. Edwin said it would take 2 more day to complete the job. The works were proficient and courteous

Regina Plumbing

I had a slow running shower drain and a broken sump pump under my house.I phoned Regina Plumbing on September 12th. The phone was immediately answered by a secretary. When I explained the nature of my problems, I was turned over to Scott Regina. Scott was fully knowledgeable concerning the procedures in solving these problems. He arranged to have one of his plumbers out the next morning to fix the drain and install a new sump pump. The plumber was very polite, professional, and worked efficiently. The work was well-done and both problems were fixed. This is the type of professionalism one found in the day, and to find it still available here is a welcome surprise

Cherry Hill Plumbing and Heating and Cooling

I have used Cherry Hill before and defiantly wanted to use Mark again. Mark came out earlier this spring to give me an estimate on replacing a sump pump under our rental condo. We decided to wait till things dried out under the condo. August arrived and it was time to replace the pump. Mark arrived on time with all the materials and finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. Some extra parts needed to be replaced and he was prepared for the situation. The cost of the replacement came right in on budget

Johnty's Electric
5.0
The work was performed professionally, on schedule, and for a fair price. In addition to the electrical work, we needed to have a sump pump installed and were having trouble finding someone to do that. When Johnty came out for the estimate on the electrical work I mentioned the need for the sump pump. After he described in detail what would need to be done and what it would cost we were confident that we found the right man for the job. All the work was completed in two days and we are completely satisfied with the workmanship. Hey, besides all that he's a nice man and was a pleasure to have at our home

French drain excavation and installation with sump pump and irrigation lines. Press construction was friendly professional, very efficient with creative and High quality thoughtful design and execution of project. From the planning stage until the finishing of the project I felt confident and Perez and Perez construction for their experience and efficiency
It was excellent. They were very good. They knew what he was doing. I knew a lot of well pump workers but they can't fixed my well. He was the only one who fixed it.
Very good. Here are the details: called a number of companies that do sump pump work. Only these guys and another vinyl sheeting company came to the site. I chose these guys because their upsell wasn't as strong and I appreciated that. Our crawl space has a lot of ducting and not much space to crawl. They removed dirt, installed the plastic barrier and then the vinyl (?) sheeting. Epoxied it to the house. Finished as expected. Once they left, I went under the house and was very happy with the install - the points of attachment and fastening were strong and numerous. I was able to get around easily. The best part is the house now is smell free. I started by wanting a sump pump and ended with something altogether different, but I think my initial idea was bringing a garden hose to a forest fire. This is the way to go

What do customers in San Jose say about Sump Pump Repair?
We have used Albin's for other plumbing projects. This was not an emergency, so it took a few days for the service. They sent out a plumber who has worked here before and is familiar with our needs. As always, he was prompt, courteous, made suggestions to solve a problem. While he had to come back to finish the project, he did not charge an extra service call.
