Both the manager (mark) and the crew were straightforward, accessible, competent, and went out of there way to address a complicated job. I had time constraints and they adapted accordingly. I will absolutely use them for future work.

Ned Clyde Construction Inc

Awesome & quick! I love sharing good experiences with contractors on Angie?s list since I myself rely on the reviews of others so heavily. But some contractors transcend a mere ?good? or ?A? review by performing their services so well as to be a model of excellence. Such was the case with Ned Clyde. They book well in advance, but are worth the wait?(there was also a bit of a delay waiting for our permit to come through, but that had nothing to do with the company). We purchased our home 10 years ago know that we needed to address some minor settling and cracking in one corner and decided to do so this year since the (minor) cracking was getting a bit worse. A call to the company got a fast response, and after a short phone call with Paul, their engineer, a quick appointment. He came with his awesomely simple level measuring device (think Archimedes) and put some determined the amount of settlement and area of the problem. He discussed the situation with me with great clarity and explained their approach to fixing the problem?it seemed to be the perfect answer to the problem: straight-forward, simple, efficient, with enough components to provide a truly workable solution?pretty clever actually. Certainly sounded better than the other options I was considering. And, best of all, it only required 4 3?x3? ?pits? spaced 8 feet apart. Again, they book jobs well in advance because their solution is in such demand, but that was made clear from the start?then we needed to wait for the city permit. The crew was awesome(!!)?remarkable efficient, thorough, clean & neat, focused?they know what they are doing and don?t waste anytime getting it done. After digging and driving anchor piles, they pour a based of concrete in each hole and let it dry. Ten days later, they came back and finished up in a few more days. The house is level and, a month later, seems to be doing just fine. They had warned that the leveling would produce some additional cracks, so I had anticipated those inside and out and have a plan to fix those (once the structure is given some time to really settle into the fix). They did what they said they would do, in the way they explained they would, on the schedule they had established. All went as expected, and there were not surprises. Paul the engineer was always available and involved in the process, and Simi the crew boss was exceptional. Dwight the scheduling supervisor was easy to reach and very informative. I?d hire them again for this or even a larger job

Foundation Strategies and Construction Inc.

Ken with Foundation Strategies, Inc. was easy to work with. He was reliable, patient and personable. Ken was quick in responding to my questions and addressing whatever concerns I had about the process. He took care of all the city permits and completed the foundation problem in a timely matter. I am happy with the work that was done. I feel a greater sense of relief now that our home foundation is strong and the repairs are complete
We selected Golden Gate to work on renovating the balcony of a newly purchased apartment. The owner Paul came out and explained how the project should be done correctly, so that it not only meet all safety requirements but also last for a long time to come. Paul also explained the process clearly as well as the uncertainty associated with it. His crew are also very professional and worked on the project expeditiously. Paul also acted as a general contractor at time to coordinate with other renovation projects that was going on around the same time and provided timely advice on how they should be done correctly to prevent future problems. We ran into a few surprises along the way and the final cost of the project did end up to be a lot more than what we expected. Summary of my review is that Golden Gate is an expert in balcony repair but that is a cost associated with that level of experience and expertise and the peace of mind that comes with it. We would hire Golden Gate for this type of work again
Bruce inspected the foundation of our home. The foundation was in good shape, but we needed drainage work. We hired him back as a consultant to review our drainage plans. He is very knowledgeable about local soils, codes and foundation repair technologies.
They came out and looked at the chimney. I had to have an architect to come out and look at it because they were not sure what the structure inside is. They were on time and they were professional. They gave the information I needed to get started.
Edwin Perez was very responsive. He showed up the day after I initiated the request for an estimate. He was friendly, knowledgeable and communicates very clearly. His estimate included all of the work to be done. Although we had two other estimates, they were either open-ended or were incomplete. I chose Perez & Perez because I believed they could do the job completely without any unanticipated out-of-scope work. The work started on schedule. The crew was organized, knew exactly what to do and was very knowledgeable. They, too, were friendly, professional in their work and communicated very well. They cleaned up the surrounding area and made it spotless. The results are superb. The concrete work exceeds our expectations. Not only does it strengthen the foundation, it also looks very pleasing and blends into the surrounding area. It looks like it was a part of the original construction. Perez & Perez Construction is definitely on our "preferred vendor list" for construction and concrete work. We highly recommend them
