Some roof shingles were lose around the chimney and heater exhaust vents. The guys from Los Gatos roofing arrived as scheduled for an estimate. Since it was a very small job of calking around the chimney and nailing in some of the shingles, they did that right away. I expected them to give me an estimate and a bill. But they said that they were not going to change us since the job was a very small one and it took them only 15 to 20 mins. I was very impressed by their professionalism. I'm glad I got a chance to try them out. If we need any roof repairs in the future, they are definitely on our shortlist

I just had my (shingled) roof replaced, by Bay 101 Roofing, Inc. and they did an outstanding job. The salesman, Dave, was prompt, easy to work with, and responded to phone calls as needed. The Owner, Jose, was on site each day to oversee the crew. The crew was also prompt and worked hard, and completed the job in the time frame I was quoted. Price was Good; not under nor over-priced. The results were Great. I'd recommend Bay 101 roofing to my friends

Chandler Ham Inc
Chandler Ham came highly recommended by a couple of my acquaintances, including one of our neighbors. Mr. Ham came by for the estimate and provided me with the information I needed to make my decision. We had our wood shake roof replaced by lifetime warranty composition shingle. This material is quite thick and provides a nice dimensional appearance. They installed decking, felt, metal flashing and the shingles. The work was excellent. Took about 2.5 days. We are very pleased with the results and satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and materials. We did have to follow up on our own once we submitted our acceptance of the quote, but we were pleased overall with their responsiveness, price and work

Sonrise Roofing
Sonrise did a fabulous job. They were very responsive to my calls and questions about the roof and solotube options. On the days of the job the workers were quick and efficient. The only negative was a misunderstanding about whether the roof rot repair was ready for inspection by the termite inspector as the house was being prepared for sale. But the company repaired all areas that the termite inspector pointed out, and it passed inspection. The work was even finished a day early. Great job

The roofing shingles aren't the color I told them to put up there. I have a leak and the guy isn't returning my phone calls. I don't think he works with a lot of integrity. I don't think the guys he has work for him have a lot of experience.

The front gutter was done ok. The rear gutter has calking on the gutter face that I could see when work completed because it was over patio cover. Also on back gutter the roof shingles were broken in several places above the patio cover.

Westshore was not the highest, or lowest price quoted. Work started as scheduled. Their crew cleaned up at the end of each day. They were professional and took pride in their work. Westshore Roofing Inc
They put each bundle of roofing shingles on the roof and sounded like they were dropping them to the point where it sounded like they were going to come through my roof. My house is older and so I was concerned that there may be damage done by dropping such heavy bundles up on the roof. Also the roofing job done to my garage was not satisfactory because the nails that they used are coming completely through my roof. They were also a couple days late on finishing the job

Los Gatos Roofing
I would give Los Gatos Roofing an A- for the work they did for us. They were very responsive, fitting us in when we needed to get the work done. Larry was great to work with, getting us sample shingles and setting things up. There were a couple issues on coordination when one of their trucks broke down, but they were professional about things and went the distance to make things right. The final roof looks great. I had a small issue with one of the new vents making a noise when hot water was run in the pipe, probably because they did not leave any room for the pipe to expand. I had to take care of something else on that pipe, so installed an expansion coupling, which took care of the issue. They were willing to come back out to take a look at that, but it was not necessary after I put the coupling in. Overall a professional outfit that works hard to do a good job. The price was also reasonable

Signature did a great job tearing off the old and putting a new roof on my house. Communication was excellent throughout, start and end dates were just as estimated up front, coordination of all the different crews was like clockwork so the job was completed quickly in three days, work was performed exactly as agreed to with good workmanship, cleanup was thorough including protecting the flagstone patio and tarping the garage to keep it clean. There were a few minor issues taken care of immediately, and price was on the low end of the four quotes I got. It's been raining all day since they finished and no leaks, nice for a change. Very happy with their service and the roof looks great

Liberty was hired to adjust / align skylight. They also fixed roof shingles, gutter spikes, and other minor repair work. Installed flashing along fascia. All work was done with good quality results. No problems thusfar with leaks, etc. I would use them again, however, not if I needed it done today or tomorrow. They are not the fastest responders

We decide that our roof needed to be replaced and we also wanted to get Texcote done on the exterior, so the first call I made was to Green Planet Remodeling and when I told Anne that we were interested in Texcote but we didn't know too much about it, she was so helpful and knew what she was talking about, because when Ben came out he performed these presentations that were SO helpful and Anne also asked "is that all you need done" and I said well no we are going to get some roof estimates and she said "wait, we can do that too" and sure enough Ben gave us 2 estimates and we were so pleased with the way we were treated, we didn't even bother calling anyone else, we couldn't be more happier with the end results, we will use them again and again

They did a great time, reasonable quote and found an innovative way to resolve the problem. Our house is a cabin from 1900 and the rafters span more than 24" and sheathing was not cut to match. This led to cupping which was showing through the shingles. The reaffixed the sheating with more nails and then reset the shingles. They did a great job

Going solar was something I wanted but didn’t know if I can afford this project for a duplex property such as mine located in the outer sunset. I met with a few solar installers in the bay area and Solar Union was the only company that helps you qualify for rebates offered by San Francisco, in addition to financing options. I was able to replace the roof with a company Solar Union recommended. The whole project (roofing then solar installation) took 1 week and there were only minor findings (grounding) and resolved quickly. Thank you Solar Union team

He met with my wife and I at our home, went over our options and quoted us a price that was exceptional. The crews were on time and left no trace other than a brand new roof. The quality of the work was great and Dave took the time to go over what they did and even provided a disk of pictures of the project. Roofing isn't something you need to do very often but I'll gladly recommend them

Of all the companies I called Northern California Roofing was the one with the best follow-up. My job was more then the average roofing job as you can see what they needed to complete. I would say that the cost would be less for a regular job. That being said, I am really appreciative of their communications and follow through. From the initial call and estimate with Ray to the payment with their office. I can say without hesitation that I was super impressed with this company. The first day the crew came out on time in force. They had a six person crew and went right to work. In the first day they did a complete tear-off and added the rafter tails and a few other items. They worked hard and at the end of the day Jose the crew chief went over what they had completed taking me on a tour showing me the difference in what was there and what was completed. On the second the crew came on time and completed the roofing job. Again Jose walked me through everything at the end of the day. I really appreciated the one worker who had the big magnet sweeping for nails and what-not not only in the walkways, but the brushes. On the third day the gutter guys came out and installed the new seamless gutters. They paid close attention to areas that might see more water then others and placed the downspouts accordingly

I was so impressed with Aguilar Roofing. Rob Aguilar was the only person who contacted me. My roof lost a tile edge shingle last week and we are expecting heavy rainfall this weekend. I called several (at least 6 or 7) local companies and was told "I was too far away for them to come during the Shelter in Place". One person had retired and couldn't come. None of the others even returned my phone calls. My step-daughter who lives in Las Vegas, recommended Angie's List, so I tried it. I called late yesterday afternoon. Rob Aguilar returned my call within 5 minutes! He told me he would come by this morning. He came at 9:30 and rang the bell and stepped far back. He put his card in the window so he didn't have to personally hand it to me. (social Distancing). He already had the piece of tile I needed and told me the cost (very reasonable). He climbed up on the roof and replaced the broken tile, then walked the roof to check for anything that might look damaged. When my husband asked if he gave a Veteran's Discount, Rob knocked $50.00 of the cost. I have his card, and will call him if we ever need any roof repair again. I couldn't give him a Higher Recommendation. Thank You Angie's List, I will always make you my first call from now on. And Thank YOU Rob Aguilar for being my hero at a very stressful time

No one wants to have to spend $16000, but the estimate was on par with others I received to do a new roof. Ken was prompt in calling to set up an estimate, prompt to send the work proposal, able to start work within 2 -3 weeks, started on time, was organized and efficient, cleaned up well. All of the workers were pleasant. Technically they have the last of the work to do tomorrow, but they are almost done. i am entirely satisfied with how things went so far and would not hesitate to use them again
