Price was fair and quality of the work is great, we are really pleased with the final product. They also made it very easy for us, not requiring us to (re)move furniture from the rooms they were working in. Excellent craftsmanship and the work was done cleanly and efficiently. My only minor quibble was with the manner in which they delivered and acted on their quote- everything was very informal, we never signed a contract, and they seemed to just pick a figure out of the air when we put down our deposit (what we ended up putting down the day we stopped in the office was different than what they said they'd ask us to put down). Again, can't stress enough that, in hindsight, these were very minor issues. MM was just a little more loosey-goosey about the details than I'm accustomed to. Would highly recommend and will consider for future jobs

Over the past three years I have asked Nick to do all kinds of repairs on my house, including creative projects like making a custom gate and repairing cracked crown moulding. THE FIXIT TEAM INC
We agreed in the contract of a price of 2800. Once job was completed the Fixit team staff told us we had to pay additional $406. We questioned why it was not in the original contract & she told us there was a "blurb" that stated "materials extra". Plus, they penalized us 20% because the workmen had to buy some bags of cement & nails. This makes the 20% add-on totally unreasonable and unavoidable from a customer's view. This makes the quote misleading. We paid to rent a truck to haul all of the materials, which had we have know, would have also purchased the other materials needed (rather than incur that 20% penalty). Since the store they purchased from is located down the street, this would have been very convenient for us to handle. Howard came out to walk through the house and provide an estimate on the work I wanted done. They were able to start the job within a week or so. Howard sent one person to focus on the electrical and one person to focus on the crown moulding. William and Gary were both really easy to work with and a pleasure to have around. They were flexible with changes, and did really nice work. There were a lot of rounded corners to work with and the crown moulding looks great. They cleaned up at the end of each day, so it was easy to get back to normal after they left for the day. The work took about 5.5 days total, including retexturing the walls and ceilings to prep for paint (two other people came to do this work). They were prompt, communicative, and the quality of the work is great - very happy with the outcome

I don't usually post, particularly pics of my home. But... We are so happy, I had to share so that others could benefit from our experience. 13 working days to completely remove/replace kitchen (never been remodeled since 1979!), install recessed lighting in raised ceiling, and repaint ceiling & walls of the formal living room!!! An impossible timeline that they were more than willing to accommodate at the lowest bid price. Couple of times, working 12hour days. Believe me, we never expected them to labor so hard and we were skeptical dealing with other contractors that always go double the promised timelines. They helped patch walls for free where we had plumbing work done by our plumber. Not only are these guys professional, but they are neat, organized, and always clean up after themselves. They walked us through tile/material selections in the beginning. And they even moved our furniture for us during the process. Coming up with solutions to questions before you think to ask them. Can't say enough

Enzo and his team were very nice to work with, and we are extremely happy with the end result of the work they did. Enzo himself is very committed to his work and his customers. During the course of our job he had a sudden serious family matter, and even through that he stayed in contact and made sure the job was progressing which we were very impressed with. Enzo was the fastest response we received for a quote to have the work done. Other companies we contacted either never got back to us or took over two weeks to provide a quote that was more expensive; Enzo was able to provide a detailed quote for the job in less than a week and was very responsive after we reached out to him. The only complaint that we would have with the job was the extended time, as the overall job did take a few weeks longer than planned. Some of this was due to subcontractors that took longer to perform the work, but in the end the quality of the work done was worth the wait. Overall it was a pleasure to work with Enzo and his team, and we will absolutely use him again in the future for additional work we do on the house

Hank came in and measured out for crown moulding in several rooms. He had good suggestions for where crown might look best. Based on his estimate we have contracted to do the install. We will report back once the work is done but I expect it will be fantastic as I know the reputation of this company is STELLAR! UPDATE after install: The team arrived right on time - actually a couple minutes early. They explained the process and then got right to work. They worked efficiently and cleanly. Once the crown was up they caulked it and filled all the nail holes before putting a finishing coat of paint. They left no paint brush strokes and the finish is like porcelain. It looks so wonderful - it even makes our old wall paint look better now that there is additional contrast. They cleaned up when they were done and left no construction debris. The workers were friendly and professional. Highly recommend this company - we are extremely pleased with the work

About a few months ago Eli and his team did a complete kitchen renovation for us, so once that was complete we decided to renovate the rest of the main floor, excluding the family room. We had no hesitation in calling Eli to come in and do this job for us. He started right on the scheduled date and finished exactly when he said he would. The work was done exactly as we wanted it with a very professional result. The stucco removal from all the ceilings and installation of crown moulding really brought the house up to date and gave it a more modern feel. I would not hesitate to work with Eli again. They are very good workers with a professional attitude and ability. It was a pleasure to have them complete the work for us and I would certainly use them again in the future

It really went great. All the work was done within about two weeks. (Or close to it.) Tom's crew always works quickly, but carefully. They always showed up when they said they would. We had a few issues come up because of our mistakes not Henle Construction's. For example, we bought the wrong stone for the fireplace (way too big). But Tom explained why the stone we picked wouldn't work and made suggestions about alternatives. We went with one of his recommendations and were very pleased with the results! We love the flooring and crown moulding work and our bathroom looks SO much better than it did. The bedroom came out just as we hoped as well. Again, all the work came out great

Summarized by the timeline of events: First Meeting: Andy K was referred to us by a friend when we needed our home to be remodeled. We contacted Andy and he promptly responded and came by as agreed exactly on time (punctual everytime !!). Andy took a look at the property, paid attention to all our requirements, was meticulous in writing notes and said he would get back to us with the estimates. Estimates: Andy got back to us as promised on the date and scheduled a meeting with us to go over the estimates. His estimate was documented very clearly for each item in drilled down details. Among the other quotes we had received, Andy seemed to be have a very fair estimate. As for timeliness, Andy promised to complete the work by 4 weeks, but he completed the work a week early. Remodel: Andy's crew was excellent, professionals and well mannered. The crew started work early in the morning every day and were really hard at work. The work quality was excellent. As we were working professionals we would not get to visit the house too often, but whenever we did in the evenings all the mess from the day would have been cleaned up and things arranged. We must say Andy required his crew to clean up after their work every day when they are done for the day. The remodel was completed a week ahead. Andy supervised the entire work and handled any surprises that came along, and did more than what we required of him. Andy was a perfectionist and if he found anything amiss, he would take care of it himself. Final inspection and quality: Andy went through the final inspection with us, and everything was completed as per our requirements. We were very happy with the quality of the work, and the timeline of work. Final words of appreciation: We were very happy with the services of AK Construction and Andy K and his entire crew. When we started out on this remodel, quite a lot of our friends mentioned their bad experiences with the contractors and delays and contractors not showing up on some days. Thanks to Andy, we had a smooth run with the entire remodel and did not face any problems that we were wary about initially

We renovated a historic house on a tight budget. We sourced the kitchen cabinets (IKEA), tile, fixtures, etc. Daniel, his crew, and subs did all the work. Given the age and history of house, we were expecting some challenges along the way, but all change orders were handled smoothly. Communication was very good on how the work was progressing on issues that came up. Attention to detail and quality of the work by Daniel and his subs was very good. Cost estimates were spot on. Time estimates were close. We didn't replace the fridge and stove, and they could have been better protected during the work. Luckily no real damage, but required a good cleaning afterward; otherwise would have been an "A" for Professionalism

Mr Torres "Ray" came out with his roofing team to look at the job and to give a quote shortly after the team started. We had a very bad leak they were able to replace all plywood along with the eaves and they did an extra layer of protection before roofing. This season we have had some pretty bad rains. Mr. Torres “Ray” personally came by to make sure we had no leaks. I couldn’t ask for better customer service. At the end of every workday all debris was picked up and taken away. Louis is by far the most honest and transparent GC that I've worked with. He'll tell you the truth upfront, do great work at a competitive price and was a pleasure to work with. A few things popped up during the job which always happens, and he handled the changes and additional work seamlessly from my perspective. Barry Mansker (owner and service provider) did a great job delivering a quality project that lived up to my expectations. The cost was reasonable. By comparison, a couple of handymen provided questionable low bids, while a couple of contractors provided higher bids. Barry fills a unique niche, somewhere between (typical) handymen and (standard) contractors. Unlike most handymen, he possesses a California general contractor's license. Barry has the traits of an outstanding contractor/handyman, traits that I -- and I imagine most customers -- expect. He is knowledgeable, has a broad skill set, is responsive, diligent, punctual, professional, respectful, and reliable, and follows through on commitments. As a case in point, a modest correction needed to be made to the paint job. He arrived the very next day and corrected the problem, offering no excuses and not hemming-and-hawing about whether he was responsible. As icing on the cake, Barry is a very pleasant and humble individual, and his engineering background is impressive. He is among the best contractors/handymen I've ever hired for any project

Over the past 13 + years I have contracted with JH Construction several times for remodeling/construction and repair. Jim was the general for a bathroom remodel at a vacation home in South Lake Tahoe. He performed and managed the entire process including all permitting, carpentry and finish work. His plumbing, electrical, and tile subcontractors were equally professional, courteous and clean in their work. The results far exceeded our expectations and the project was competed within our budget, and ahead of schedule. When we were preparing to sell my father's home we contacted JH regarding damaged door trim on two of the interior doors. We were prepared to replace all of the door trim in the house and had budgeted a few thousand dollars for the material and labor and planned on a 2-3 week timeframe. Jim came over and inspected the damage and we were pleased to hear that the damage could be repaired and that we did not need to replace all of the trim on the house. He went on to repair the trim and over the course of a few days made several brief visits to repair and then paint the affected areas. There are several other projects I could comment on, but one is particularly telling of the customer service and broad skill-set the Jim provides. On a Sunday morning we heard a water leak in an interior wall between our kitchen and laundry room. After investigating the source of the leak and its location it was clear that we needed help. I called JH Construction at around noon, and by 5pm that day Jim arrived and began repair. The work included cutting a hole in our floor (the leak was not accessible via our crawl space) and re-piping the leaking section and then closing up the hole and re-tacking out carpet. He was finished and cleaned out by 11pm. This work was not a big project, and I suspect was not profitable, but that did not matter to Jim. We are his customers and he was more than willing to interrupt his weekend and make a special trip because it was an emergency
