First fan worked fine but was too noisy Procured special fan from Germany for me and only charged me the differential for the top tier fan. It runs very quiet

I don't know how the fan works since there was only one day that would have required the fan to come on. And on that one day either this is the most silent fan in the world or it didn't come on.

Carlos is the man! He took care of my family and transformed our house. Jack was the electrician doing most of the work. He constantly checked to make sure we were happy with the work and they didn't take any shortcuts. They even fixed some exposed wire that we didn't even know about. Great service. I would definitely call these guys again. Do yourself a favor and ask for Carlos and his crew

We contracted for installation of a solar-powered attic fan. The installation proved to be problematic (we have a very steep roof and a special ladder is needed). The company obtained the ladder and re-scheduled the installation. Everything went smoothly. The customer service is exemplary---I am hearing-impaired and prefer email to phone. They complied with this and were very responsive to all my queries. I will not hesitate to use this company again

The experience with Sunlight Concepts went very well, it was good. They were punctual and nice. There were some minor things that came up but that was a communication problem. All in all, really good and I would recommend them. The staff demeanor was very good.

Northern California Whole House Fans

Had an attic fan installed. After the attic was inspected, I had to call a roofing guy to install vents first, then the attic fan was installed. At first it made a lot of noise, but it settled down after a few days of operation. Would have been nice if they had told us this would happen. Fan was so loud we called them for removal, but before they got back to us the fan and quot;settledand quot;. It does keep the house cooler in the summer. Would be nice if they also had an option for a solar model

The attic fan went very well. Troy was able to isolate and seal the flashing issue that was causing our roof leak, however after further investigation, requiring the removal of some siding, we found some more serious structural damage to the studs in the wall. This seemed to be a beyond his expertise as a 1-man job, so we opted to have him stop there and will bring in a construction contractor to make these repairs. We are very pleased with the work Troy did and would not hesitate to contact him again. We are grateful he was dedicated enough to look into the damage further, otherwise we never would have seen the interior damage

The installation went absolutely flawless. Abe and Troy were on time, professional and fun to work with. When installing the remote switch their suggested location was perfect, and, at the same time, they corrected a flaw in our original switch (the fan and light had been switched in the wiring), along with labeling the final result. Awesome. We will definitely use Got Watts Electric again

Switch Electric, was on-time, introduced himself and began the work of installing my new Fan, he 1st check the location and wiring of where the fan would be installed to ensure proper connectivity would be sucessful. He began with a safety check to ensure the new fan could be installed with no issues, he began the install, he made a few adjustments, he communicated in details as he progressed the install of my new fan, asked if I had any questions, I would hire this company again, they were very professional, on-time and efficient, the new fan looks beautiful, thank you Seth you did a great job and of course you now have a new return customer

It went well. John came out to scope the work and provide an estimate. He was personable, asked what I wanted, made suggestions, and explained how the work would be done. He also came back on the morning when the work started to make sure the two-person crew understood what was to be done. The crew had to spend a lot of time in the attic, not only to replace the old attic fan, but to deal with the wiring for the replacement bathroom fans. Unfortunately, it was one of the hottest days of the year, but they persevered and got the work done without losing their professional composure. There was one problem that came up, which was that one of the replacement bathroom fans had a smaller cover than the previous fan, so there was a hole into the ceiling along one side. But they managed to resolve it to my satisfaction by adding a couple of custom-made plastic pieces on each side that look like they were part of the new cover

It's very difficult to find an electrician that is willing to work on ceiling fans, but Darren replaced a motor in a large Emerson ceiling fan for us, and came up with a creative solution for eliminating an annoying rubbing noise. He also installed an attic fan and switch for us, installed fluorescent lighting in the attic, and upgraded our fluorescent lighting in our laundry room. I get the feeling that Darren would be able to handle just about any of the typical homeowner electrical problems that I could throw at him. Darren is easy to work with and very professional, his costs are reasonable and moderate ... plus he is nice people too
They were very efficient. They sent out a salesman who went over everything in the contract. They gave me a price and set up an appointment. They arrived on time and completed the job in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and did a very nice job.
I have worked with HMH several times now and can unreservedly recommend their services. From the bidding to billing they are responsive and attentive to detail. All workers have been friendly and diligent, working to make sure the job is done efficiently and correctly. When snags arise they have been able to problem-solve and keep working to resolution. I will definitely keep calling them for projects around the house
Cliff was there on time, ready to work, with his trailer of all his tools! He was prepared for what ever we may encounter during this job. We couldn't find any suitable power junction boxes inside the attic to splice into, so we decided it would be better to run a new circuit from the power panel in the garage. Unfortunately there was no room to add any new breakers inside the power panel, so we decided to swap out one of the single breakers for a dual breaker to be able to add a new 15-amp circuit. Once we decided on a plan-of-attack, cliff started running the wiring while I made a Home-Depot run to pick up the needed parts. Cliff removed the old breaker, and installed the new dual circuit breaker. He then wired the original circuit the first side of the dual breaker. Cliff then ran all the wiring needed to add a new 15-amp circuit off the second side of the dual breaker. For this he was able to cut a small section of sheet rock out directly above the power panel in order to run the new wire inside the wall. He wired in a metal octagonal junction box up near the rafters. From the junction box, he split off for the attic fan, and for the new power outlets in the garage. 14-2 indoor Romex was used. From the junction box he ran new Romex along the rafters and down inside the sheet rock where he installed a new outlet box containing 2 new power outlets. Very neat and clean installation. From the other side of the junction box, he wired more 14-2 Romex along the rafters into the attic space for the attic fan. A 17" piece of 2 x 4 was needed to frame the gable vent for installation of the gable mounted attic fan. Cliff was able to securely mount the attic fan, positioned for maximum airflow. Then he wired the fan into the new 15-amp circuit. He wired the thermostat in such a way that it was relocated to a more central location within the attic space, both for better functionality as well as easy access near the attic access hatch. End result is more functionality than I had originally anticipated, because of the use of the dual breaker, and adding the new 15-amp circuit & new power outlets in the garage. I will recommend Cliff to my friends and family, and I won't hesitate to call him anytime I need anything else done
Case Handyman & Remodeling did excellent work. The price was a little higher but the quality of work was great. They provide background checks on their employees and have an office manager who handles all of the paperwork.
Went to Angie's List looking for handymen. Found Maui's Handyman Service. Called for appointment - two days wait. Installation was very quick. Hung new fans, removed old & disposed. Very efficient.
