This was a case of expectations being set too high. I was told that the crew would arrive each day and put up plastic and fully protect everything, clean up, and protect again on day two. This did not happen. In addition, my personal property was thrown about and generally not treated with much care or respect. Furniture had dusty joint compound on it and some of the knock down texture was in various pieces of furniture. The crew also broke a fixture and claimed it ''spontaneously broke.'' New light bulbs were provided but a metal ring that held the lights in the fixture was a unique piece that was neither located by the crew or replaced. Overall, a 6/10 experience. A nice enough guy, but I would not recommend to my friends.

Valenz Construction
Valenz Construction did an excellent job on my remodel! My original quote request was to have my cabinets repainted, but I asked about the complete project once I met with Ricky and after seeing the other reviews and pictures of their work. Once I received the estimate, I decided to have all the cabinets throughout the house repainted, porcelain tile flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms, and quartz countertops and a backsplash installed. Ricky was very professional and responsive when I had questions and also offered to help pick out materials to bring my vision to life! This whole process was very intimidating for me but I was assured that I was in good hands. They started each day on time and sometimes stayed longer to finish up completely for the day. Ricky also communicated each step of the way, sending text messages and pictures when I was not home. One day he found that one of the toilets was leaking and I thank God he found that before it became a bigger issue. On the final day of work I felt like I had walked into a brand new house even though I saw the between stages each day. My kitchen and bathrooms were completely transformed and needless to say, EVERYTHING came out amazing! I would highly recommend Valenz Construction for home remodeling needs.

Ben is our go-to for any home needs. He is responsive, punctual and a good problem solver. He has completed quite a few projects for us over the years including: installation of a murphy bed into a cement wall, installation of tile backsplash, whole house paint job, installation/removal of washer, mounting TV on wall, fixed baseboards and drywall. I disagree with the previous review that he overcharges; I always get a few other bids when contemplating work, and he always comes in at the low end. I recommend him all the time to friends and neighbors.

He was on time and he took me through what the work was going to be. He came prepared and he was very qualified. He did the work in less time than estimated. He installed ceiling fan, lights and exhaust fan in the bathroom. Everything went pretty well. He also did some carpentry work on the outside of the house. They were expensive.

The install was done over two days. Esed Electrical installed the new wiring on the first day; they cut all the necessary holes and ran the wiring. I noticed the insulation on one wire had been scraped off presumably to test if it was "hot." Esed patch the insulation prior to covering the holes in the drywall. On the second day, Jacob from HMM installed the fan and patched the holes. We opted to finish the sanding an painting ourselves.

Mike's Handyman Service & Drywall Repair
We were moving back into our home after a few years living away. We had disliked the ceiling since we bought the home.Mike was in the Bay Area on another job and was available to do the job.We contacted him through a friend and he was able to give us an estimate when we gave him the square footage of the room.We had a narrow window to get the work done because we were moving back into the house. Mike agreed to get the job done within our time frame.He came to our house prepared to cover everything. He covered the floors and the walls and taped up the blinds. (which he also covered. The ceiling removal took a full day. The next day he re-did the ceiling. The following day he sanded the ceiling and it was ready for painting.He was friendly and cheerful and enjoyed doing the work.

Recent Review: Mike Phillips responded quickly to our request for an estimate to install tile on our laundry room floor. During our estimate meeting, he was thorough describing what he would do, how it would be done and options. We were impressed during the estimate. As we know, the proof of workmanship and customer service is in results. We had already purchased the floor tiles and he advised what other products to purchase before the installation. When work began, he could have installed the tile as he desired; however, he laid a sample pattern, explained the layout and had us decide on the look we wanted to achieve. Mike was prompt, efficient, worked quickly and communicated throughout the entire process. We could not be happier with the result and highly recommend his tile work. Recent Review: Bryan is timely and knowledgeable . My house is 51 years old and needs a lot of time and energy. Bryan re-textured my master bath (original texture had started to flake), installed new lighting and painted the master bedroom and bathroom. I was having flooring installed in my kitchen and family room when I realized the dishwasher needed to be removed before install the next day. I called Bryan at 7pm that night and he was at my house by 8am the next morning pulling the dishwasher out. He also informed me that the tile counter would need to be cut to get the dishwasher back into the same spot. Something my floor installer probably should have thought about telling me or perhaps the tile installer when the boarder went slightly over the front of the dishwasher! When the flooring was complete he returned to re-install the dishwasher. At the time of re-install he also added a shut-off valve for the water under my sink. He made the tile cut to get the dishwasher back into the space. Bryan was referred to me and I plan on using him for many projects around my house. As you can tell, Bryan has quickly become my go to guy. He thinks a few steps ahead and is always prepared with tools and time allocation.
