Wonderful service in every respect. I negotiated the price for the work in the kitchen based on the need for additional service early next year to replace grout in bathrooms.

Superb! We originally hired Heartwood to clean the grout lines in our kitchen floor, which we had no luck in doing ourselves after trying several methods. Nick did his best, but they we're so dirty, even he had to give up (the original contractor didn't properly seal the grout, which is why they got so soiled after only two years). Nick then offered to remove and replace the grout for an additional, but reasonable charge, which we concurred and accepted. The new grout looks even BETTER than the original... and he SEALED it as well! We will soon be using Heartwood to install new tile in our entry way and bath, as well as new wood floors in our living room. I like Nick's work ethic and dedication, and have no reservations about recommending his company.

I originally purchased a $199 "Big Deal" for tile and grout cleaning. When the estimator came out to look, he said they could do it, but we probably wouldn't be happy with how it looked. He recommended regrouting rather than just cleaning. That would cost a little over $400. At first it seemed like a bait-and-switch, but I finally figured that our grout really was so yucky looking that it was unreasonable to expect anyone to be able to clean it well. So I scheduled the regrout work. The guy who came out to do the work was prompt, professional and friendly. He even repaired a couple of broken tiles on the bathroom floor, even though that was not part of the agreement. There were a couple of quality issues with the work, though. The first is that there were a few (maybe 3) spots where it looks like the dremel tool nicked the tile. Not very noticeable, so it is not that big a deal. The second is that within 24 hours -- before we even used the shower again -- there were several dozen places where small sections (about an inch long) of the grout started to turn gray. I contacted Tile & Grout King and they arranged for someone to come out and re-do the discolored areas. Apparently the sealer they mix in with the grout sometimes does not mix evenly. The work was done quickly, and I have not noticed any discoloration since. So, I was a bit annoyed that there were problems with the first round of work, but they did make good on it without any problems. Overall I am pretty happy with the job.

I had a good experience with them and I will reuse them. They were exceptional. They were complete self starter there was some questions and answers at the beginning and at that point they went straight to the process and reported their findings and work progress all the way through the process because it took a couple of days. They prepped the work in the morning they came back and did the work in the afternoon and they came back the next day to seal the work, so at each step they gave us details.

Several years ago Adam had done a lot of work on tile at my home -- fixing grout in a bathroom and entry way and cleaning and staining grout on my kitchen countertop and floor. Over the years, with probably too much scrubbing, the grout immediately around my kitchen sink area had become dirty and stained. Mario came, cleaned, added additional grout and restained the area. In addition, he cleaned up the poorly calked sink installation and cleaned and polished my kitchen sink. I would definitely call Adam, the Grout Expert, again.

I needed a straight-up re-grout on my shower tiles. They're simple 4x4 ones with wide grout so it's a pretty easy job, as re-grouting goes. I called AGS and he was able to give a quote over the phone based on wall dimensions. He got two guys out within a few days. They showed up on time and did a great job on the tiles, the more so as the bathroom is quite small and has no windows. They did upsell me on regrouting the floor tiles, but after seeing the finished job I'm glad I did it. They even got the tricky bits in and around the toilet done properly. I also had them recaulk the shower/tub and run a caulk bead around the perimeter as suggested by my HOA to contain any potential leaks in my unit to avoid damage to ones below. These two guys worked their butts off in that little hot room and the place looked fantastic when it was all done.

It went superbly! Hoang came out the day before to submit an estimate and then the next day Antonio and Tam arrived promptly and worked very hard from 9:30 to approximately 4:30. They worked non-stop! I had to beg them to take a break!

Grout Expert manager Hoang Nguyen showed up on time for estimate. Very friendly, efficient and provided a reasonable price estimate. He offered to do a full grout cleaning but I declined, needing only the critical work done at this time. I also used a $20 off coupon found on the website. When he was about to leave, he suggested Thursday. I asked for Wednesday instead so as not to interfere with the other contractors working Thursday. He agreed. On Wednesday, he was a no-show. When I spoke with his office, they apologized, indicating that according to the calendar, he was supposed to be there. She then called him, called me back and told me that he was supposed to be there Thursday. Sigh. So I asked if we could move it to Friday. She agreed. Then she called me back later to confirm... Thursday! I said, no, you just agreed to Friday! Not sure if she realized her error but she asked again for Thursday and I confirmed. The serviceman arrived at 8:30 a.m., quickly assessed the job, ripped out the old grout and silicone and explained his work before replacing it. He replaced the grout and sealing it. While the gap is wider visually than I would like, it filled the space quite well and is very professional looking.

2/14-First met with Thien about replacing grout in our Master Shower. Thien said all the grout does not need to be replaced-only cleaned and replace two tiles that are broken. Replace grout around shower seat. Quote $600. I was happy with this information and we scheduled to have work done 3/9. I understood that Thien would send Joe to do the work. 3/9-Joe arrived on time. After 2 hours of work, he called me to the bathroom to tell me that he had chipped one of my tiles. We have large profile tiles 36” x 12”, and a chunk was missing out of the top of one tile. (Tile is discontinued and unavailable.) I was sick. I told him that he cannot continue if damage to tile is imminent. He promised to be careful and there would be no more damage The work took longer than expected, so before he was done I had to run an errand. I wrote a check and gave it to him. When I returned an hour later, I saw that he used bright white grout, with a thick grout line (3x thicker than existing). The rest of the grout is cream color and very, very thin. It did not match and stuck out like a sore thumb. 3/9-Contacted Thien that same afternoon asking him to look at the grout color and line thickness. He told me via text message that “new grout is always lighter than old grout b/c the old grout is stained.” OK, but you told me my grout was going to be cleaned. Clearly, Thien did not want to deal with this problem, but after numerous text messages, he finally called me the next afternoon and agreed to meet to look at the mismatched grout. 3/15-Thein arrived to look at the grout. He admitted that he talked to Joe, who said the grout looked ‘mismatched.’ I asked why my grout was “stained” and couldn’t be matched if it had been cleaned. Thien then admitted that he hadn’t told Joe to clean the grout!!! WHAT? OK, so now we need to replace the stark white grout AND clean the rest of the grout. The re-work was set up to happen on Saturday 3/17. Michael would come and clean the grout and Thien would replace and match the stark white grout. (Thien actually wanted to send Joe back but I refused. I told Thien that I wanted him to do it.) (3/17)-Michael arrived to clean the grout. Within 5 minutes he told me the grout was stained and could not be cleaned—it needs to be replaced!! WHAT?? I asked what’s involved in replacing the grout—specifically, was there any chance my tile could be further damaged. Thien arrived at that point and we discussed that I was just told that my grout cannot be cleaned-must be replaced. I repeated the question about the possibility of additional damage to my tile. Both Michael and Thien strongly claimed NO CHANCE OF DAMAGE in removing/ replacing grout. Since my tile is discontinued-potential damage was my primary concern and factored heavily into my decision. Because of the lack of consistent information from Thien in the past, I wanted to be completely clear, so I asked this same question about damage 3 more times. Each time I was assured, “Don’t worry, NO CHANCE OF DAMAGE!” My husband was present and heard the entire conversation. If there would be no damage, we would consent to having the grout replaced. We were quoted an additional $300 (We already paid $600). 3/18 – Michael arrived on time. Started working immediately. Within 30 min, he called me to the bathroom and started to ‘walk back’ the promise of no damage to tile made the day prior. “Sometimes just a ‘little’ chip happen.” Then showed me a large chip in the tile and claimed it was previously there. He had even taken a picture of it on his phone! I came unglued and told him it WAS NOT there previously–and there can’t be any damage—The tile is d/continued. I sat down on the toilet and watched every move he made for the next three hours. Four more chips occurred. Bottom line-Chips CAN happen-Michael and Thien knew this, but lied repeatedly. As a customer who is relying on a business owner for advice, I need and expect forthright advice. Thien knew potential damage to my tile was my primary concern and would factor heavily into my decision. Yet, his consistent answer to my question about potential damage was “Don’t worry, NO CHANCE OF DAMAGE!” As I found out, there is a BIG CHANCE OF TILE DAMAGE while removing grout (See pics). Thien absolutely KNEW this—but chose to be dishonest to create a sale, without regard for his customer’s wishes or best interest. In discussions with Thien at each stage of this process, his first mode of response was to project “blame” on me. Each attempt was false. But here’s the real problem—and what I’ve learned—ProGrout has no paperwork. Thien does NOT write down notes. He has no contracts. His promises, price quotes, work descriptions are all verbal. He wants checks made out to him personally—not to his business. Reputable professionals DO NOT do business this way.

Recent Review: It produced amazing results. We used a gray grout for our floor tiles and it darkened, due to wear, over time. Lewis Cleaners cleaned them and the floor literally looks brand new. I was very impressed with the prompt customer service, great price, and professional service. Definitely using them again! In fact, after I saw the results of the floors, I had them give me quotes for future carpet cleaning! Super friendly service.

Recent Review: SHORT REVIEW: Most of the work was extremely effective at getting floors clean. They were very responsive and attentive in getting my business, but I had a few issues with the results and the company exhibited poor responsiveness here, failing to address them, and despite having a guaranteed did not offer to refund any money and didn't follow through with returning to do a second cleaning. So I'm disappointed with their customer service, and their commitment to quality in terms of honoring their "guarantee". LONG REVIEW: I had several rooms to clean, both tile and carpeting: 4 rooms with tile and 4 rooms plus stairs with carpet. The company was highly responsive to my initial inquiries and in setting up both consult and actual work appointments. The quote was not cheap, but I figured with the good reviews on this site that I'd be paying for quality. The carpets got very clean. Two of the three rooms with tile got very clean. So quality there was good. However, in some of the rooms there was some small damage to the wall and an appliance. I understand accidents happen, but one of the damaged areas must have resulting in debris the worker would have seen. I wasn't so bothered by the damage itself, but by them not telling me of it. I sent photos to the salesperson (I think he's a co-owner as well) and he did not dispute the damage though he stated that the worker insists he didn't notice any. He said he'd follow up after Thanksgiving with a subsequent appointment to try another method on the tile floor that didn't get clean but he never did pursue, and that's despite my emailing him multiple times.
