They arrived on time. They were very careful to make sure my neighbors and I protected ourselves from any errant pesticide getting into our homes. They worked efficiently and were done in about 1/2 hour. The price included a return visit the next month. However, they failed to inform me that they would return at the beginning of the next mosquito season and continue to provide monthly treatments for a recurring fee of $69.00. In early May, I called Orkin and spoke to someone stating that I wished to cancel my service and stop any future treatments. However, they sent someone out again in June and told me that they had no record of my previous request to cancel the service. I also learned at that time that they raised my rate to $84.00. They may have notified me about this by email, but I can't be sure. Again, I called Orkin to cancel which was acknowleged, yet they sent someone again in July and again told me that there was no record of my cancellation request. At this point, I phoned the headquarters requesting reimbursement for the two months that I had been charged, but I was bounced around from person to person until I was told that I would receive a follow up call on the matter. I never did receive a follow up call and had to ask my credit card company to stop the charges. I would never use the Orkin service in Oakland again, and I would look elsewhere before using any Orkin location.
