San Antonio Gas Stove Repair

They came out and said I needed a new wire harness. It cost $314.38. I kept telling the service man that the problem with the gas stove was with the flow of gas, possibly the regulator. He came back after over 7 days to install the new part. As I suspected, the wire harness wasn't what the stove needed. They sent out a master tech that said if I had the old wire harness they could put it on and refund my money! I told him my stove is still broken. He suggested I call the gas company which I did. The gas company checked our lines in the house and concluded that indeed the regulator needed replacing!!! All in all, I had 3 techs to our home over a period of a month and the stove is still broken. I would never ever use this company again. I plan on getting reimbursed the party they replaced but I didn't need

They did a good job. They figured out the problem right away, they fixed it quickly, and they had all of the parts with them.

I found him to be very accommodating, and he let me watch him work. He was very informative and answered all my questions in a way that I could understand (not technical talk).

After checking Angie's list for service providers, and after contacting one that for some reason took three days to return my call, I tried A-1 Reliable Services. I called them, they were ready to come to my house the following day, but due to previously scheduled appointments, we settled on the service call to occur on Monday, 7/21/2014, between 10-12am. At approximately 11:00am on that day, I was notified that the repair man was on his way. The repairman, Daniel, showed up 15 minutes later. When he came in I told him I was having problems with my oven. It would not work on both the bake and roast settings. Daniel told me that there was could be a problem with the igniter. He promptly got to work within 10 minutes he had the old igniter out and verified his quick diagnosis. He asked me if I wanted the igniter replaced, informed me of the cost, I agreed. Daniel went to his truck, came back with the part, within 10-15 minutes had replaced the old part, turned on the oven and had it working properly. I was very impressed. Throughout the time he spent with me, Daniel, was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, maintained a highly professional demeanor and kept me informed on what he was doing. His performance was exemplary and as I said professional. When he gave me the bill, he also gave me the Angie's discount. Based on information I had previously gotten, the price for the service provided by A-1 Reliable Services was way better. Based on my experience, this company is well named, should I ever need any of their services their number will be on my sped dial.

This company saved me from buying a new stove! Three of the four burners on my gas stove would not adjust down to the simmer flame level. I read the manual and still was not able to find the screws to make the adjustments. When the technician arrived he went to work and was not able to find the adjustment screws either. He also read my manual and still could not figure it out. However, he never gave up! He called another technician in the company and was able to make the adjustments! He even showed me where the screws were hidden so that if the problem happens again I would be able to fix it myself. While repairing the stove my wife and I explained to him how the oven was not cooking evenly. He was also able to adjust that as well and once again showed me how to do it. The technician was very professional and did an outstanding job which I greatly appreciate. I have had no problems since with the stove or the oven. I will definitely call My Repairman again for any appliance repairs I may need. The service was great, the price was right and the technician was very professional. I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend My Repaiman!

While cooking the knobs of the range caught on fire. Alex came, inspected the stove and found the source of the problem. He fixed the burner that caused the fire. He clearly explain the problem, what caused it and how to prevent it in the future. He offered to order the parts that got burned and provided the serial number of the items in case we wanted to order them ourselves. He explained their service and warranty. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He took the time to answer all my questions and was very attentive. Not only will I use them in the future but I'm going to make sure my friends find about them.

Tony was responded quickly - coming out the next morning and was punctual and was very thorough making sure the entire stove worked properly before he left. Service is also guaranteed.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out well. It was alright. The negative was that to repair these 2 things was quite expensive. The parts were very expensive so I decided not to repair them. They were very professional, they came out, and it was a good experience. They said they needed to replace the electronic control board for the oven and it was like $350. I know on the internet, I can pick up a part for about $100 and do it myself. The parts are so expensive. You have to buy them from the manufacturer. You could almost buy a new oven for that price. The refrigerator had an issue with the ice maker. Their professionalism was excellent.

I was concerned that my old gas stove might have some clogged jets, plus the electric ignitor worked intermittently. Steve arrived at the designated time, and inspected the stove and oven. He took time to explain how everything worked,including the safety features of the oven gas flow, and assured me that the gas jets were working properly. Of course, the ignitor worked flawlessly while he was there; however, he gave me a price for a replacement in case I wanted it. I had been using a grill lighter when the ignitor did not work, and Steve said that was fine. I decided not to replace the ignitor. Steve gave me a bill for the $28.50 service charge (which he had explained over the phone). I paid him, and he went on his way. I am pleased with the service I received, and will definitely call them again for any appliance service needs.

It was determined that repairing the stove would be to expensive. On the technicians advice it would be more economical to get a new stove.
