Overall, I can't complain as Texperts came and did what they needed to do when we were in a desperate situation; our two year old air conditioner had gone out the night before in a two year old home in more than 100 degree daytime heat. With a 12 month old infant in a house at 90 degrees, we were in bad shape. I called Texperts at 9 AM, and they promised to have a technician from 12-3 at my home. The technician (I can't recall his name did a terrific job and educated me on the problem and the part that failed; he fixed it within 20 minutes. I was very pleased with this and that he got our air conditioner working. This is why I would give Texperts a very good evaluation overall. I can't comment on the price; for the work that was done, what I paid seems like a lot, but I have no basis on which to judge. I had no choice but to pay this. Whether it's your car, an appliance or other issue with your home, especially if someone has to come to the home to fix it, you are going to face a high cost in many cases that's in the hundreds of dollars. I have no reason to say this was too much or too little; they did not charge me for the service call. I appreciate the fact that these businesses have certain operating costs, and I'm confident they also have a business model that makes plenty of money to fix something to insure they can stay in business. The customer must be aware of this and plan for it as you might need to dip into your savings or other funds unexpectedly to take care of these situations. I did not give punctuality a high grade.. Texperts promised to get someone to my home between 12 and 3. The technician did not show until nearly 4 PM. I understand he had a job in another area of town that ran late. While this is understandable and they called me at 3:20 to tell me this, I had to take an entire half day off work waiting for someone to come. Understandably, I just need to accept that, but with limited time off, if they could have stayed in contact with me, I might have only had to take an hour or two off work. I will accept and take blame for this as I should have planned better and worked this out (a call 30 minutes before. It's a lesson learned; whether I'm justified or not, that' why I gave the rating I did in the punctuality category. Shame on me for not doing a better job and sitting around for hours. This was the most frustrating part of all. Yes, I would hire them again. Yes, they got the job done. Of course, I would rather not have my air conditioner break as you don't want to find yourself needing this type of service. It's going to cost you.

Well my appointment was forgotten to start. Sent Matt Baumann who snoops which is invasion of privacy in my home. Views business cards without my permission, then he starts bashing the other companies and bashing the names of how they no longer work for Jon Wayne. Tried to sell me a package that were outrageous. Whines like a child asking for cash money. I think he needed his diaper changed. Takes advantage of single women and Senior Citizens or is it race? Make sure you read the back of documents in small print carefully. Any deviation you will lose your 10 year protection plan! I complained twice on Matt Baumann and for some reason they protect him rather than customers. I will ask owners Don and Brandon Rackler to review all his sales very carefully. I had to tell Matt that he forgot to check the box for the Electric Panel and wrote something by it for a cheap one. He tried to slip one on me regarding the Maintenance Plan. He writes in $480.00 per year with first year free?? The maintenance plan is part of the Rescue Club Service Plan!!!!!????? Manager Maddie said she will get to the bottom of this and would send someone that is Professional and would call me back. She never called me back and when I finally spoke to her she went haywire rude! That my new appointment will be canceled???? What a witch! Don and Brandon if you want proof I have the paperwork!

When our A/C failed, we received a couple of bids that were quite high. Thirty minutes after calling Air Systems, Carlos Jimenez, the general manager, arrived and examined our system. I asked him for bids on four Trane models. His bids were detailed and very informative. The prices were the best by far. We chose the Trane XV18. Air Systems provided a contract with proof of insurance, carefully installed the system and took care of permits, inspections and CPS and federal credits. Air Systems is an excellent company and we highly recommend them.

We called Mr. Erwin based on Angie's List reviews and one previous experience (positive) with this company. Our A/C kept cutting out on the really hot afternoons we had August 2011. Oddly, it would come back on about 8pm each day, but it was a long hot afternoon without A/C. Mr. Erwin's repairman arrived within the time window we were told and behaved in a professional manner. He did not actually fix the problem we were having - after his work was done and $300 later, the A/C was still cutting out in the heat of the afternoon. Why am I not angry? 1) We called our electrician and determined that the problem was with the circuit breaker (overheating in the hot afternoon sun) and got that fixed for very little money and 2) Our electricity usage since the work by Mr. Erwin has dropped despite the fact that it's still insanely hot. With the reduction we're seeing, we will recover our $300 in just a few months. We conclude: Mr. Erwin did repairs that benefit us and were needed, they simply weren't the repairs that addressed our specific problem at the time. Because of this, they only got a and quot;Band quot; from us. Had the repairman urged us to look at repairing the circuit breaker (outside his skills to perform, but surely he knows something about power supply issues for A/C units?), they would have scored an and quot;A.and quot;

I didn't end up using him. They were pretty competitive price wise but they were a little too small of a company and I didn't know enough about them. I didn't know about their warranty. He was helpful and it was one guy that owns the place. He was the one that I talked to over the phone and he was willing to work with me. It wasn't a negative experience.

I got the referral from a friend who used them for her air conditioner. They came in and fixed the air conditioner and it works fine. I really thought I was going to have it replaced. I don't know anything about air conditioners except turning them on and changing the filters and that's about it. I've had my air conditioner replaced when I bought this house 13 years ago and I thought it was about time to replace it again. But it just needed repairing and the guy fixed a couple of things that were going to go bad on it. He said that something was leaking oil and he repaired that and repaired something else and he said I was good to go. It has been working fine ever since.

I called JP and she scheduled a service call to have my central air conditioner checked. George arrived and was very cordial. George assessed the problem, checked the a/c, and finished the work expeditiously. I needed 2 pound of freon?? which raised the cost of the service call - but necessary to properly service my a/c. I want to thank JP and George both for being customer oriented and meeting my and my family's needs - a properly working a/c unit (brrrrr:)) Thank you George. I've asked George to have Tex-perts follow up with me to give me an estimate on the cost to replace my a/c unit.

the AC stopped working at 7pm on a Friday. I was in Dallas at the time and my husband said *his* regular AC man would not come out even tho they had just supposedly fixed it Thursday morning. I called Service masters and they came way out to my homes location in the county and were there by 11pm that night. and fixed it. I now have a service contract with San Antonio Air Service Master and dumped the other guy. for the life of me I can't remember why I didn't add a review at that time, but I was gone for two week..so forgot. **Edit: -San Antonio Air Service Experts.. Sorry guys I did get your name mixed up..the Review is MOST Definitely for you.

Recent Review: Nobody likes having to call an HVAC tech. Let's be honest, it's pretty much never a case of "I want" and almost always one of "I need." In my situation, the "I need" was that my old A/C was done for. Kaput. (I was actually surprised it lasted as long as it did...I'd expected it to die a couple years prior.) So, the first step meant reaching out to lots of HVAC people, because just one is never enough. In total, my wife and I spoke to about 7 contractors, 4 of whom just tried to recommend a direct placement to our existing system (not considering changes to the house since it was installed nearly 20 years ago), 3 of whom actually put in the effort to calculate out our actual needs, 2 of whom went through explaining why certain options may or may not be good for us, and 1 of whom approached the situation from a perspective of trying to improve our situation rather than sell me a product. So, we went with the one (TempuraturePro). In addition to great service, the price was right (it wasn't the lowest price I've ever heard, but it was fair and reasonable, and within the range of what I was expecting to pay based on my own research into the circumstance). The team was punctual (showed up right at 8am on our appointment day), professional, and the install overall looks and works great. Courtney and her team weren't perfect, of course, but mishaps were largely things that could happen with anyone. There was a minor scheduling error (which ironically was fixed before I even knew there was an error, in the form of her calling me to 'move up' our appointment to when I was already expecting it to be), and the technician of hers that was leading the project did take out my existing thermostat to install one they were more familiar with (my ecobee being the better thermostat). Lastly, there was a minor power issue that may or may not have been exacerbated by the changes, but it was resolved as soon as I brought it to Courtney's attention. Overall, even if I took all the 'bad' together, however, it's not even enough to warrant dropping down rating. Short version: definitely consider them if you're in the market for HVAC work. Honest and fair contractors are a rarity these days, but this one is both.

Recent Review: My AC had gone out in my newly built home on a Friday night. After checking all I could think of (and calling a friend) I gave up for the night. The next morning I checked my warranty checklist from the builder and saw that 1st Choice was the listed contact. I called them at 9AM, but of course their office is closed on Saturday - however their answering service had an extension for the emergency on-call person, so I left a message. Around 10AM the on-call person called back and I explained the issue. He said he'd be out in about an hr, and he called to confirm as soon as he was on the way. In my case the attic unit was running but the outside unit was not, but he did a thorough inspection of both units and eventually found the problem with the outside unit. He made a temporary fix for the outside unit and said the main office would call me in a couple of days to schedule a time to replace the faulty part so that it doesn't happen again. (He understood right away that everything was under warranty still so there was no awkward price discussions.) The technician was friendly and very knowledgeable, he even took the time to explain a few curious questions I had about the unit, how it worked.

Recent Review: That price included two services a year (summer and winter). One person came out to do the job. I have used them before, they know what they are doing. I would tell other members to expect courteous service. The only negative thing is that due to the reason capacitor went out there is no warrantee on any other parts on the AC. They only warranted the new capacitor nothing else.

I was impressed with how fast Peter responded and how thorough he was to make sure he found the exact problem and associated repair. My unit is old and rusty, and I expected to hear I would have to replace the entire thing. What a relief to get my A/C back on after a simple (and much less expensive) motor repair. He even had the proper part in his truck so the A/C was back on just a couple of hours after my initial call. I will never call anyone else for my heating and cooling needs.
