Recent Review: SAUL is excellent handyman, professional and conscientious, previous experience as contractor; he helped with repairs and moving furniture in my mother's house. Alamo Handyman charges hourly, but also schedules half-days; reasonable. The only reason I didn't use Saul into 2013 when closing my mother's house is because he was booked in advance. Call early to schedule SAUL! As for ALAMO HANDYMAN, there have been changes in the office staff since first calling them in 2011, so this review is NOT about the service company as a whole. For one thing, the "regular" plumber sent by ALAMO HANDYMAN in 2012 didn't seem to know what was going on with toilets that drain bowl water low when they aren't used regularly. The MASTER plumber, requested after the unsatisfactory service of the first man, was very good (confirmed diagnoses with other plumbers). The "B" rating in professionalism is because the first plumber did not seem professional (knowledgeable, or at least able to recognize the limits of his knowledge). Because of first plumber visit AND because of the turn-over in office staff, I would NOT recommend Alamo Handyman as a company. However, I very DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SAUL, the handyman, who, until his non-compete contract runs out, must be scheduled through this company.

Recent Review: The new storm door we purchased from Home Depot looks very nice in our home and the installation work is snug to the framework. I have used Home Depot for many things over the years and there customer service is excellent. The door we purchased was very reasonably priced, the service men were very efficient and there has been no reason to call them back. I will continue to use the service people from Home Depot, as they are punctual and efficient in their work.

Recent Review: After initial miscommunications, Alex and his brother come to my property and completed the work in a timely, professional manner. They installed 2 doors, cleaned up the debris from the project, and hauled away the old doors as well. Perfect project completion!!!

Recent Review: We did most of our research on line before we went to the store,as Home Depot NEVER has anyone around to help.It's usually a chore to find someone to help.We do go early about 10 am and that may be the problem,but Iwould tell anyone to do your research and know basically what you want etc.That is why we scored it a "B" and average.

Recent Review: Mark Gunning looked at the problem door, and recommended the addition of a storm door. He looked at them in the store and advised me about what to get. I purchased the door and he picked it up and installed it. He explained everything, always kept me informed, was very punctual, and did a great job!

Recent Review: Mr. Crane was very professional, explained in detail what would be done & what we would be paying and there were no additional “surprise” costs. The cost for all the work was very reasonable. He answered all of our questions and responded promptly when we left a text or voice message. His crew arrived early, (7:30am) and worked all day only breaking for lunch. The site was left pretty clean and we are VERY happy with the work. Would most definitely recommend.

Recent Review: Mark Chambers arrived when he said he would and began with installations of a surface mount latch to an old storm door which needed some modification to let everything line up properly. He knew exactly what to do and did it. I had also begun to repair a hose swivel joint on my old vacuum cleaner. He was able to remove the broken joint. While he was working on the door I replaced the broken joint with a new one. He then replaced the hose (tough to push in). Vacuum works just fine. A third quick repair was a side door to the garage which was losing its 35 year old weather stripping. He removed the old and replace it. Finally, previous owners had small dogs who had badly scratched a door exiting to the garage. Rather than replace the door I asked that he replace it with a panel of wood which he did. All the work was done quickly and expertly. He had great tips for using handyman services: make a list of needed tasks and have repairs materials and special parts handy, if needed, call when there are a few. He can get needed materials if needed but that time is part of the service, so having them handy keeps costs down. I am happy to say that all repairs are great and I will use Handyman Matters next time I have home repair jobs.

Recent Review: From the stare when I met with their factory representative until the date of installation my questions were fully answered and addressed. When the day of installation arrived and it was raining I felt the situation would be a bit too messy and they willingly accommodated my request to wait for Better weather. The installation took one day and they cleaned up completely when through. Before leaving, I was instructed on the proper operation for my doors. I am very pleased with the service and with the product.

Recent Review: I called this co. after reading the reviews on Angie's List. I knew something had to be done to my sliding glass door but had no idea what until I had read some of the reviews. Only then did I realize that rollers have to be replaced on sliding glass doors. Anyway, I called them and the lady that answered the phone passed on my info and problem to the tech. He called and could have fixed it that same day had I heard the phone but since I missed his call, he came the next morning and fixed it in no time flat. My sliding glass door which took two hands and a lot of effort to roll back and forth can now be rolled with my pinky finger! Good grief...I had no idea! I should have had this done a long time ago! Anyway, he also tightened a loose door handle on my storm door for no charge. He also waited for me to clean parts of my sliding glass door that I wanted to clean before he put it back together. I am really glad I am a member of Angie's list or I would have never found this guy or several other companies I have used as a result of being a member. He did a great job and I am making a file of all the people I have used that have done a great job like John and his helper for future reference.

Recent Review: We did feel that the price was a little high. The quality of their work was good. They were punctual. There were some communication issues. They apologized and made up for it. I was happy with their service and I will probably use them again.

Recent Review: With the cabinets they were very helpful at the store and were a lot of help with planning. With the doors I had a problem because they subcontracted out the installation. When I had trouble a year later, Lowes said I had to contact the subcontractor and they were gone.

Recent Review: They were awesome! I had replaced my storm doors with wooden ones that needed weatherstripping. Unfortantely, my door had rotted out so he could not weather strip it like normal. They instead put down a special weather stripping that is twice as wide as the other one for me. They did the job quickly and there was no mess left behind. I was thrilled.
