I'm wishing now I'd gone another direction. We had the shades installed almost a year ago, after having shopped for months. Sombrilla was about $5K more than Sunesta, but I was able to get lights and drop shades (Sunesta didn't have quality lights available at the time). After paying in full for the shades, they took around 60 days to come in (more than a month longer than promised, and I was following up virtually every week on my own - they weren't updating me). They blamed it on the factory. They finally installed everything but from the beginning, the shades didn't fall correctly. After several calls and follow-ups, they finally came back out and identified the need for a larger canister to hold the shades - what was ordered originally was too small. Again, it took about 6-8 weeks for them to get the new parts in. I finally found out because I kept following up. They profusely apologized and assured me that they would call me "next week" to schedule the replacement. They never called. Another 3 weeks passes and I follow up. I schedule a time about 2-3 weeks out where they have availability as do I. They confirm a week out they'll be here between 8-11am, Thursday. Thursday morning comes and I call them to get an ETA. "Oh, I'm sorry - we should have called you. We won't be able to come today." This last repair is going on 4-5 months or so. I really stopped trying to keep track. Workmanship when on site = 9; Responsiveness to calls = 8 or 9; Empty Promises = 10; Everything else (e.g., follow-up, timeliness, keeping schedules, fulfilling promises = 1-2).
