ANYTHING TO DO WITH DOORS
5.0
We called Mr. Patterson and he came out to give an estimate on replacing a back door with a solid core door. After this we set up a date to do the work. He came out to replace the back door with a wood solid core door. He supplied the new door and installed it with skill. He installed a door handle, dead bolt, peep hole and door closer. He weather striped it all around. Installation and work was well done. He took the old door away. Some debris was left behind, though I did not discuss this with him before hand.

Joseluis has helped me before and I was very happy with his work last year so I didn't hesitate to call him for help. Today's visit went very well. I was pleased with all the things I needed done on my family's home. He fixed everything I needed help with and arrived when he said he would. I highly recommend Joseluis with Guys Unlimited 4 Rent for all your handyman needs.

Jack did an excellent job and was extremely professional. Arrived on time and we went up to Lowes to buy parts. I would use him again for sure. In fact, he will be replacing the sink drain this Friday. Very reasonable with price . He charged me the original estimate and not a penny more. Has a sense of humor . Carpet stretching he does not do.

Brian arrived on time and got started right away. He worked continuously only breaking for lunch. He did an excellent job and I plan to have him back with another honey do list. I have arthritis and cannot do a lot of things myself like i once did, so this service was wonderful to have. He also did a good job of cleaning up. I recommend him highly.

Sassin's Door Tech

*****Initial Call: discussed all the problems of the binding door, new threshold needed etc. He said he would remove the door, trim the bottom, install the threshold and adjust the hinge. He discussed $65 for the adjustments to the door plus parts which totaled approx. $120 per door for 4 total doors. *****Scoping visit: He showed up to do a walk through and measurements and his written estimate jumped $65 per door to charge for removing the door with no discussion. I asked why the extra charge and he said the service for each (the door and the threshold are $65 each). He never distinguished any price difference on the phone after a very detailed conversation about the problems. We decided to have him only work on the front door. *****The work: 10/2: When he showed up to do the work. He immediately needed to borrow an extension cord, and said he forgot to pack his stain to apply to the bottom of the door after the cut. I provided both for him to complete the job. It's my intent to work together and help this all be a success. After it started raining, I offered to let him work in my garage and helped him move the door in there and set it all up. I even provided towels to dry off the door. After the threshold was installed, he then informed me there was a gap between it and the flooring. I told Him I had trim and he said he would install it. No discussion of extra charges etc. Then he informed me he forgot to pack his other saw and wouldn’t be able to make the cut and would have to return. Again, no discussion of extra charges or problems. I asked him in the end to make it right. I have an incomplete project with a ¾” gap between the threshold and the flooring. He assured me I had a new threshold. He justified his stance by saying he can’t predict all outcomes and would have to charge me again if he had to return to place the trim because it’s not part of the project. I assured him I’m not a door expert and don’t know all the questions to ask but if it were a risk, he should have told me of that potential problem. I reminded him that he never brought up any extra charges till now. He then told me he should have charged me more for the work he did as a means to justify not putting in the trim. *****Additionally: I asked him to be careful with the doors and not to scratch them on the saw horses. He assured me they were covered with cardboard. The front of the door has two gouges from where they rested on the sawhorse. I had to ask him to fully seat the pins on the hinges because the one hinge he made adjustments to by pounding on it with a hammer, didn’t line up properly. ***** Summary: I rated quality a B since the threshold itself is installed well and the store swing and closes freely as I asked. What I wanted and asked for was for him to make it right and put the trim in as he said he would while working on the project. He told me he could do it when I call him back to do the remaining doors if his extra charge was an issue. Never would I have agreed to taking out the old threshold and installing a new one with a big gap. He should have made it right. I won’t call him back and I won’t recommend him to others. Lack of attention to details, inability to communicate well or manage expectations.

ANGEL DOOR CO

Shout out to Skip and his son Colin from Angel Door Company for repairing our garage door. The door made a loud jerking noise when we opened it and we thought it was going to fall out of the tracks. They explained everything in depth of what was happening with the springs and how the garage door should operate properly as a counter weight and you should be able to lift your door with one finger (which i can do now). If a repair company tells you it's your garage door opener, they are looking for the cheap way out.

My Garage Door would not open. Cobalt came and knew the problem within a minute. He fixed the door at a fair price and made recommendations to help extend the life of my door. Thank you so much for your help.

We liked the doors that they had to choose from, the quality of the doors, and the staining process. The interaction was fine, we just went to pick out the doors, and the doors were fine.

Legit Installations LLC

My home was burglarized and my front doors were damaged. Legit Installations responded with temporary doors. The damaged doors were removed and temporary doors were installed. Jim made some great suggestions on how to reinforce the doors and other doors in the house. When my permanent doors came in Jim noticed that some of the hardware specs were off and he made sure they were corrected before installation. He installed the permanent doors and made some improvements to reinforce the doors. He repaired all of the trim and even re-mortared the threshold. He went even further and adjusted another door and reinforced another door. It was pleasure having him helping us out after this terrible incident. I have already recommended him to friends and coworkers.

ANYTHING TO DO WITH DOORS
5.0
I'm getting new laminate flooring and two doors wouldn't open over the samples. I got Anything to do with Doors number from a handyman I called from Angies List. Don Patterson arrived on time and got right to work. He first removed the hall closet door, took it out to his truck and planed off the necessary amount, sanded the bottom and replaced the door. The second door was a pocket door, so he removed the molding. took out the door, removed a strip of wood on the bottom of the door, scored and planed the bottom of the door. He then replaced the strip of wood, hung the door and replaced the molding. He completed the work in an hour and 15 minutes. I had talked with other handymen who didn't know how to do pocket doors, so I felt fortunate to find such a professional.

Recent Review: I called Premium Overhead Doors at 551 am. Isaiah returned my call at 611 am and set up an appointment for 8 am the same day. Two sections of my garage door were badly bent and a drum cable had snapped. I could not get it open even using the manual emergency method. He quoted me $360 to repair the door or $945 to replace it. I decided to replace the door and set up another appointment for 3 pm. Isaiah arrived on time yet again and protected my car in the garage first. Then he took down the old door within 30 minutes. It took another 3.5 hours to install the new door, but he did a great job and opened and closed the door before he took my credit card. Isaiah was professional and courteous the entire time. I highly recommend Premium Overhead Door to anyone that needs garage door service.

Recent Review: If there was a contest for the world's biggest skeptic, I'd win, or at least be a close second. My door is 42" wide, 8' tall, and solid oak. I had decided that there was no way I could remove the door myself and I certainly couldn't refinish the door in one day; I didn't think they could either. Well, I was wrong about them. The had the door off, cut, and sanded in about two hours. Two workers sanded for at least four hours on the door and side panels. During this time they stained and sealed the door then rehung it. I could not believe the difference. I have procrastinated for over a year on the door as I didn't know what to do (several problems). These folks know doors, know workmanship, and are totally professional. I will use them again.

Recent Review: Excellent service experience!! Sergio, Hollywood Crawford's service technician was great, He was spot on time with a 20 minute advance notice phone call so I could put the dogs up. Two garage doors were looked over for potential problems areas, then lubricated, tested and ran for an operational check. Didn't matter than one garage door was 40 years old and the other garage door was 2 years old, Sergio knew his business! I definitely recommend this company.
