San Antonio Laminate Flooring Installation

We bought our house in 2011 and first met Chris, the owner of Set in Stone, when he was working as a subcontractor for the folks we hired for our kitchen redesign. He installed a beautiful custom travertine backsplash in our kitchen and also tiled the kitchen and dining room. (this service is not included in my cost estimate, as I do not know how to pull this cost out of the total for that job). However, he did a great job on the backsplash and tile work. We got his card and called him back when we needed laminate floors installed a year later, and he came out to do that job as well. Chris has an awesome eye for detail and did a great job on the laminate floors. Our house was not a typical install because it has very few 90-degree corners. It's also a house with four distinct levels, so Chris covered each step with laminate and added transitions to finish them out. He also installed and painted quarter-round trim wherever he installed laminate. This work was done with laminate that we provided. For the laminate floors, Chris: * Removed old tile from the entryway * Removed carpet from living room, hallways, and closets. * Leveled the slab with leveling compound to fill in low spots (our slab had some serious low spots) * Installed 690 square feet of laminate flooring * Covered steps/transitions in each level of the house with laminate. Chris was very professional and took care to clean up after the work was performed. He also responded quickly to phone calls and pulled up flooring to level a low spot in the slab that was missed initially. He stands by his work, and is a great person to deal with. I will definitely call him again for any flooring or tilework.

Their service was excellent. I like that they are a small business. They are very responsive and attentive. The owner was extremely prompt and did everything he said he would do. There were no issues scheduling and I really liked dealing with the smaller company.

Everything went really well. The installers arrived on time, were cautious when moving furniture, and did an excellent job with the installation. They followed through on every request with a smile, always asked if they could do anything else to help, and did such a good job of cleaning up that you'd never know they had been there.

Anthony and his team did an excellent job. This is the second time they have done jobs for me and both times I have been very pleased. They are always on time, thorough, efficient, and patient with my dogs and 4 year old.

Rueben was very professional. He helped with every aspect of this job. The job was done quickly with little inconvenience to us. We would definitely recommend him and his crew.

The price was the lowest of all competitors. The quality of the product was acceptable. They showed up on time and did the work. I was not happy with the finishing work. They didn't do a very good job on the transition pieces. The clean up was good. I just didn't care for them that much. Communication was a bit of a problem. When we pointed out things to them, they readily went back and finished it. We called them three times to make the repairs on the transition pieces, but they didn't come, so I called and told them to give me the pieces and I would fix it. They did a good job putting in the floor. It was just the transition pieces that I wasn't happy with. I would not use this service again.

Very well. flooring was late arriving but they did a great job keeping me in line to get the install done ASAP.

We chose the top 3 companies from Angie's List and got quotes. Hoffman was the middle price so we chose them. We were impressed with the showroom selection and salespeople there. The work crew arrived to remove the carpet and prep the concrete floor for the laminate and we were pleased with both the crew and the work done. The next day, a different crew arrived to install the flooring and it was not good: we had blaring music, sloppy work, unprofessional behavior and dirty marks on our freshly painted walls. We were furious. A phone call to the company resulted in someone coming to fix most of the problems but we had to wait over a week for a damaged board to be replaced. The company responded quickly to our complaints and did satisfy us but the whole thing left a bad taste with us. Our floor is beautiful but it was not a good experience. We have more floors to do but not with Hoffman.

The contractor sent by Home Depot was well mannered and prompt in arrival. The job was done in a very efficient manner, taking only one day to complete. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing, because there were no complications or problems. The flooring is level and smooth, and greatly improves the appearance of the interior of our house.

I had a wonderful experience working with Reuben Moncivais and J&M Flooring. He and his team installed laminate flooring in three large bedrooms and did a fantastic job. Reuben was very fast in responding to our quote request. He was honest and open with his quote and very helpful in educating us on the details that we had not considered. Reuben and his team went out of their way to make our experience a good one. We bought our flooring from Costco and he picked it up for us. Transporting the flooring ourselves would have been a large burden. He also drove to Lumbar Liquidators and bought underlayment when we purchased the wrong type. On a separate occasion he stopped at Floor and Décor and bought an extra T piece when we had not purchased enough. Reuben and his team were very flexible as they worked around three small children. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and the speed at which they were able to get the job done. I would not hesitate hiring J&M flooring again.

Went well. The team was extremely professional and timely in completing the job. We used Presidio in 2014 to install laminate flooring on a rental property. We were impressed by their service and pricing enough to use them this year for work in our own house.

Great, a lot of work, well done, good quality flooring and carpets. Courteous servicemen/installers. the people at Barton were very patient while we made our choices. Allowed us to take multiple samples on multiple days. Very friendly and easy to work with . Provided us with lots of information to make our choices .

The price and quality of the materials was outstanding and the installation was beautifully done. Atlas Floors Carpet One did a fantastic job for us and really delivered on their promises.

Excellent, couldn't have been better. They were on time and finished in a little under two hours, after estimating the job would take a little over a half-day. Installation and cleanup were perfect. Three guys, I didn't interact with two of them but the one who seemed to be the team leader was very friendly and polite.

The job itself was done extremely well by the work crew, once they got started. This took quite some time, however. The problem was that I had to organize the whole job myself. Home Depot never returned my calls, and did not seem to know what they were doing. I wanted tile in my bathroom, but they arrived with laminate for that section too. This job was more hassle than it was worth. I will never contract another job to Home Depot.
