San Antonio Asphalt Shingle Roof Installation

The work went very well. The crew was extremely professional. They did an excellent job on the roof and the area around the house was cleaner when they left than when they arrived.

From the first phone call to end of job, Rio Bravo (Eddie) ensured everything met our specifications. Actual work (complete roof replacement and cleanup) was done in one day. We were completely satisfied!

Soukup Roofing repaired the portion of our roof that was damaged in an April 2016 hailstorm. When a 2nd storm hit this year in May and our insurance sent an inspector out, the only part of our roof that WASN'T damaged was the part that Soukup had previously fixed. Therefore, we hired them to replace the whole thing, especially after their quote to do it was almost exactly what the insurance company allowed. The day before the crew came, I asked about shingle color, wanting something light, and they said they could put on a white roof. We were warned that it would be "as blinding white as a sheet of paper," but we were willing to do it for the slight help with our utility bills. Actually, it doesn't look blinding at all, and it's just fine. The job took half a day longer than expected because in removing the existing roof, the crew found remnants of the roof from before that one and had to remove it, too. They also installed the shingles to accommodate two slight bends in the roofline, which the previous roofers had not done. The crew foreman was polite and explained things to us, and the crew did everything with a minimum of mess, which they cleaned up thoroughly. The only trash we found after the job was over was 1 cigarette butt and a tiny strip of an old shingle. They even neatly stacked up the gutter covers which they had to remove against one side of the house so that the gutter repair folks can deal with those.

This update is 2 years and 9 months after my initial review. My wife and I continue to be very happy with the work by C&H Roofing. The high efficiency (white) shingles have decreased our air conditioning bills by about 20%. When we had a problem with our air conditioning unit (the capacitor failed), we were able to stay in our house overnight without air conditioning, until it was repaired.

They did an excellent job on my roof. Kit really did go out of his way for us. I wish all contractors were as great as Rio Blanco. Thank you for a great experience..

I requested bids from three different angies list recommended roofing companies. Arturo from GT roofing presented the lowest bid yet had everything that the other two bids had. I was impressed with Arturo's knowledge and ability to look at the job and be able to present a bid at the time of inspection. I checked Angie's list, home advisor, and BBB. GT roofing had excellent ratings on all of them. Arturo supervised the work at each step and kept me informed and involved. The job went together with no hitches and I was very pleased with the end results. I can recommend GT roofing with no hesitation.

Integrity Roofing was very professional and did an outstanding job on our roof. Integrity Roofing gave me the Angie's List discount and they apologized for the misunderstanding. I am very happy now because they did a terrific job on my roof and I will refer friends and family to Integrity Roofing in the future.

Rio Blanco did a great job on my roof, from start to finish. I would highly recommend them for your roof replacement. A little background: First, I submitted a request for bid submissions on one of the home improvement referral sites (don't recall which one). Rio Blanco was the only one of the providers on that site who called me back and provided a bid! Not sure about the other providers on that site, but if they can't even respond to your inquiry, then how good of a job would they do? Because I was paying out of pocket, and not with insurance, I was very concerned about getting a quality roof at a very good price. It was also important to get a licensed and insured company in order to protect me from liability. I have to do a lot of research before I can make a big decision like this. I ended up reaching out to about 7 different companies, and ended up getting 5 bids. After doing my research, I had to call each company back with questions and to clarify specifics. Jim Beasley at Rio Blanco was the most proactive respondent, was patient with all my questions, and pointed me to some unbiased resources for additional information, which all helped me become comfortable with my decision to use them. This included making sure we had the adequate combination of ventilation for the roof between ridge vents and dome vents. When they came to do my roof, I assumed, due to the size of my home, that it would take at least a day-and-a-half, if not two full days. Jim had told me they would get it done in one day, but I assumed that was just "salesman" talk, and it would take longer. To my surprise, they started taking the roof off around 7:45 am, and by 5:30 pm, they were cleaning up the debris around the house. By about 6:30 pm, they were completely done! The roofing team did a great job on the roof. It looks great!! And they did a very thorough job of cleaning up the shingle pieces, the "felt" scraps, and the nails. I've only found 1 nail, and just two small shingle pieces, so I consider their clean-up work first rate! I hope I don't have to use them again anytime soon, but if I need roofing work done, I will DEFINITELY call Rio Blanco!

After a major wind event recently in San Antonio, I received damage to my roof. I called 5 roofing companies for estimates. Steve Decker of Decker Roofing was only one of two companies that responded, but Decker Roofing (Steve Decker/Owner) came out in two days on a Friday morning and gave me an estimate. He said he would be there between 8:30 and 9am and he was on time. The other company couldn't come out to provide an estimate for at least a week. Steve climbed onto the roof, inspected it and gave me an estimate. He said he had crews in the area and his crews could fix the roof that afternoon. I said I would leave a check for his services under the mat, but that I though I would be home by the time his crew arrived, thinking it would be late afternoon when they came. Steve was very professional and easy to talk to. He didn't waver from his estimate and only charged what he said he would and gave me discount for being an Angie's LIst member. I went to lunch and by the time I got back, his crews had been to the house and fixed the roof. I felt bad because I didn't leave the check under the mat as promised. I called Steve and he said just to mail it to him. So, do call Decker Roofing if you need roof work. They are quick, accurate and punctual. They were for me and even arrived earlier than anticipated. Thank you Steve for taking care of the roof.

Removed existing asphalt shingle roof. Removed 2 turbine and 3 stationary vents. Removed chimney flashing and flashing for open valleys. Installed brown drip edge guard flashing around entire roof (to color match) Installed #30 felt. Installed sub-layer for closed valleys. Installed Timberline HD asphalt shingles. Installed new ridge venting. Installed new chimney flashing and painted (to color match) Replaced lead pipe flashing with brown lead flashing (to color match). Left us with a roof that was visually pleasing as well as functional (15 year workmanship warranty).

They arrived on time between 8 and 8:30 everyday and worked until 6:30 or so. By the time they left every day it was so dark I don't know how they managed to see to clean up, but they did clean up - every day. They also dragged a magnet over the yard every day. The job took exactly a week and they also worked all day Saturday. I was very impressed with their work ethic and professionalism and my new roof looks GREAT!

Their job was completely thorough and we were very happy. It was just lately that I've tried to have them come out numerous of times and have gotten the old run around. This has happened so many times and I won't call them again.

We noticed that some small sections of shingles were missing on our roof. We looked to Angie's List for a reputable roofing repair business, and chose Bexar County Roofing & Remodeling based on the reviews. We called to schedule an estimate, and Mr. Koch and his wife showed the next day. He surveyed the damage and gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we accepted. If it wasn't for inclement weather, he would have been able to complete the repairs within a few days. However, the roof was fixed within a week and the replacement shingles match perfectly. Mr. & Mrs. Koch are very personable and honest people, and they run an exceptional family business.

We chose Beldon Roofing because they have a great reputation and the estimate was not too much higher than comparable bids. We are satisfied with the roof, a very simple asphalt shingle, however we have a flat part of the roof that required another material. This flat material is buckling as water sits on it and within a month of installation, developed a leak. It took several weeks for them to come back and repair it because their schedule was overloaded, but eventually it was repaired with a tar substance.
