The swimming pool was losing over 1,000 gallons of water per day. The location of the pool is rural, and there are not many providers in the area. I was referred to the Custom Pool by another pool service company, who serviced the pool weekly but didn't find and repair leaks. I called Custom Pool, and was told that they were struggling to keep up with their business due to seasonal demand. I was put on a waiting list, and told it would be a couple of weeks before they could get to me. Three weeks later, I called again, got the same story, and was assured my name was at the top of the list. Two weeks later, I called again, no longer polite. I got the same story, but this time within a couple of days I was contacted by a man who said he was on a job in the area and would come by to have a look. He eventually arrived, late, complaining that the office had given him a wrong address. He said it happened frequently. He told me the procedure he would follow, and went to examine the pool. After a couple of hours he had to return to the other job he was finishing up, but said he would be back the next day. Over the course of about two or three weeks, this man returned sporadically, with another guy, and they spent hours each visit finding and putting epoxy putty into fine cracks in the pool. Eventually, they managed to stop the water loss. They were knowledgeable, excellent workers. I eventually received an invoice from Custom Pool. I called to make arrangements for paying the bill. During the conversation I complemented the two workers. The woman on the phone acted surprised, perhaps disbelieveing, laughed, and said she would let them know. The work is performed without guarantee, which means that if the pool begins leaking again, even within a few days of the repair, even if the leak is in an area already repaired, you will go through the same process and pay again. I think the quality of work done by the employees is excellent. The office is disorganized and non-professional. I will use the company again, if leaks develop, because I know their employees are good, and can do the job, and because Custom Pool is the only service provider in that area that finds and repairs leaks in swimming pools.
