Recent Review: Mike Morissette of WoodenThumb is outstanding and we would definitely recommend to anyone needing any type of inspection or home-related consultation. He's very thorough, detail-oriented and knowledgeable. We've used him three times: for the initial home inspection, for a follow-up inspection on a newly installed roof and for a home maintenance consultation. During the pre-purchase home inspection, he walked the roof and found that approximately half of the shingles had not been fully glued down during the original installation in 2016. We worked with our realtor to negotiate a new roof install as a part of the purchase. If Mike had not walked the entire roof during the inspection, the problem would not have been found. He also re-inspected the new roof after installation and identified a couple of minor issues that we then had fixed before closing. We asked Mike to come back a month later to walk us through the key maintenance items for our home. He took us through each area, explaining step-by-step how and when to perform the needed maintenance. We've been homeowners for over 25 years and got new and useful tips and info to keep our home healthy and well-maintained.

Recent Review: So I scheduled Jeff to do a home inspection for me when I put a contract down. Jeff came out, was on-time (actually early) and very responsive. He walked me through the entire process. Jeff isn't the cheapest, but lots of times you get what you paid for, and I WILL absolutely hire again. When he identified some very concerning things about the house, we talked through them, and he kept be from having a long term issue with a house. He was very complete and comprehensive, and just tells it like it is. He is the 5th home inspector I have used purchasing a house, and to be honest, the only one that I really think had my best interest and wasn't just checking a box. Recent Review: Great! We unfortunately had to pull out after making an offer on a home, but Hardy Boys ended up catching a MAJOR foundation issue that would have cost us thousands. On top of saving us a huge chunk of cash, they were incredibly helpful and made sure every last one of our questions were answered. We'd talked with a couple other inspection companies and never felt comfortable they would do their full due diligence and just wanted us to sign the check. Hardy Boys never pressured us into anything and it was immediately obvious they genuinely care about their customers and aren't just cycling through homes to make a quick buck. Won't be using anyone else but Hardy Boys going forward!

Recent Review: .Bernard Hall was the inspector representing Buyers Protection Group. He was highly Professional in performing his duties as a home inspector. Bernard carefully inspected from the crawl space under the house to the crawl space in the attic. He found numerous flaws in the home which was vital information to have during the final price negotiations. I would recommended BPG Inspection Services to anyone, as long as Mr. Bernard Hall was doing the inspection. If he is an example of the type of inspectors BPG has, then you can't go wrong with this service.

Recent Review: Answered my phone message the next day, and scheduled for 2 days later. Arrived promptly. Very Friendly. Incredibly thorough. (I have had 2 other inspectors for other homes, and this is far and away the best.) We spent over 4.5 hours. He teaches the Home Inspection Certification course on weekends, and he taught me by showing stuff as we went. I learned a lot about wiring, wood, window repair, gas plumbing, foundations, drainage, roofs, paneling, etc. He did not view the roof from the street as others do. Instead, he climbed up and walked the _entire_ roof looking for every defect and signs of damage & wear. At the end, he provided a binder of info & resources for home buyers, and by 9 AM the next day, I had his 28 page report (PDF) via email. For every defect, there was a clear photo showing the problem. The price was same as advertised on the website; he took off $20 for paying at the site with a check!

Recent Review: Inspector was very relaxed and receptive to all questions. They have a very good reporting system which let me access the report months after it had been performed. Caught all the small stuff like roofing nails and toilet instability even though it works fine. They are a little heavy handed on the reviews, but they are worth the 5 star rating.

Recent Review: Robert came out to provide an inspection for TWO older houses (built in 1970s) that we were looking at purchasing. Not only was he professional and very personable while providing descriptions of the main items in his report, he was so incredibly thorough and honest with his inspection. We ended up not going through with the first house and when it came time to get another inspection, there was no question that we would call Robert again.
