Two companies remained competitive (Central Texas Surface Repair and another company), but the other company gave us repeated excuses why they did not arrive to do the job, and some weeks elapsed while we awaited their promised phone calls or visits. Scott's initial response was very quick. Although his estimate was a bit higher than the competitor, he arrived on time to do the job, and performed the work in a very professional and satisfactory manner. Recent Review: KM Builders provided a designer to help us get our heads around what we wanted to get done and selecting the colors and materials for the job. We were assigned a project manager to help us understand the process, the status, and to handle any concerns that we had. Although we had some issues (which modeling project doesn't), KM was very good about explaining the situation and making the necessary adjustments that we requested. The workers were punctual, polite, and very diligent about cleaning-up every day. Once the job was completed, they provided a clean-up crew to completely clean all the areas that were remodeled. Since the effort was completed, we have had a few minor problems and they have been very responsive to getting them fixed as part of their warranty work. Overall we had a great experience and based on that, we also has them replace all the windows in our house. Hope to have them bid on a project to re-do our master bathroom.in the near future.

Recent Review: It looks really good--like stone--and it goes better with the tile and paint in that bathroom than the original cultured marble which had become scratched and chipped. Seth did a very professional job. The fumes can be fairly pungent and it is a 2-day procedure so having good ventilation is very helpful The only problem we had was when we accidentally spilled hydrogen peroxide on the counter a week later causing the top clear coat to bubble. But Scott came out to check it out and told us they would repair it for us as part of the job which they did. He said that was very unusual and that after the 30 days full cure period, it shouldn't happen again. We're happy with both the work and the outcome. Tip: this is a 2-day job and the cabinets will be taped up for 24 hours so make sure you remove anything you need before they start the job.

Recent Review: Kurt Reece, owner of My House, did an excellent job on the condo. He was very punctual and completed the job on schedule. He oversaw all of the work and personally completed some of the installation. The overall cost of labor and materials was very reasonable. I definitely would recommend his services to others.

Recent Review: I hired Tuck Burger of Tuck's Home Improvements after having interviewed several contractors. I was looking for someone interested in letting me participate in the work, and I let them all know that from the start. Tuck and I seemed to have a lot in common (including work ethic) and we agreed upon a price which included my working alongside him throughout the entire project. While he was obviously the skilled tradesman, I served as laborer, helper, clean-up, and "gopher" whenever additional supplies were needed. The work included tile floor and wallpaper removal, demolition of existing bathroom vanity, expansion of shower, removal of old toilet and installation of new, fixing of several drywall issues, texturing of repaired areas and areas formerly wallpapered, installation of all tile to include bedroom and bathroom floors (ceramic wood-look tile), shower walls and floor, and border tile in newly expanded shower as well as around existing tub. Old fluorescent lights were replaced with new wall lamps, and new double vanities were installed, including new faucets. Tuck even accompanied us to the tile store to help pick out tile, and throughout the entire process (approximately 6 weeks) he repeatedly offered valuable information and suggestions regarding the aesthetics of the project. Tuck is a hard worker who is highly skilled in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile work, and drywall construction and finishing; I would not hesitate to hire him again for future home improvement projects. By working with him on a daily basis I was able to save about $4,000 in "sweat equity", which I appreciated.

Recent Review: Joe understood immediately what I needed. He explained what he would do, when he could do it, and for how much it would cost. He contacted me when he was running a little behind for our appointment and explained why. He actually made up some time and went right to work. Joe is an amazing craftsman and actually a good artist as he mixed the epoxy for the seam to match my granite almost perfectly and even included specs to match the specs in my granite. He completed & inspected his work very professionally. He made very little mess, but cleaned up everything leaving it as clean (or better) than he found it. I was very pleased with his quote for the work and the fact that he would actually travel out here in the country to perform the work when others would not. I highly recommend Joe Prado for any of your marble or granite work.
