Recent Review: Rooms were completely remodeled from floor to ceiling. Kitchen ceiling was raised. All existing drywall was removed. New drywall was textured and painted. Attic was reinsulated above kitchen and dining room. New cabinets were installed. Floor and backsplash were installed with porcelain tile. New sink, garbage disposal, and quartz countertop was installed. Ceiling and under counter lighting was added. Pantry door and all wood molding was replaced. All plumbing and electrical work was included. Cabinets, tile, sink, and countertops were purchased separately from contract but for the amount of materials, time, and effort involved in the remodel, I'm very satisfied with the cost and result. Eric is very skilled, knowledgeable, helpful with many of my decisions with color and design. I would definitely use him in any future projects.

Recent Review: They did arrive late to the appointment due to weather and traffic. However they were knowledgable and explained thier plan of attack. They also warned us about the slight weakening of the outside edge of the granite with the 3/4" and that it could crack under excessive weight (before they cut). They even took the time to suggest some additional support we could install to help offset some weight via the cabinets below the sink. The did a good job of cleaning up the workspace, but as expected, we will be cleaning up granite dust for a few weeks as it all settles. I felt the quote was a bit high, but considering they were willing to come the next day and a Saturday at that, I was okay with paying a little extra. Not to mention they responded within minutes of submitting for quote. Still have not heard back from the other four vedors I requested quotes from.

Recent Review: We were heartbroken when our brand new countertop was chipped by a heavy pot. Andre came out to fill it and polish it. He did a great job, and no one would ever know it had been chipped. He was very professional, neat, and careful to cover the work area. He really knows his craft and saved the day for us.

Recent Review: I cannot say enough GREAT things about Mike Ulmer & A1 Quality Stone — very courteous, knowledgeable & professional service. Mike made great suggestions to keep us within our budget. He manufactured all the countertops (all with under-mount sinks) and backsplashes for our kitchen, wet bar, and 4 bath vanities. He was very conscientious about where to place the seams required for our 14 foot kitchen island & made sure that all the cabinets were perfectly level before & after installing the countertops. Everything was discussed in detail — in advance — & executed to perfection. I HIGHLY recommend this company!

Recent Review: Carillo Tile came out to our home to cut our existing granite countertop to fit a new kitchen sink we were having installed. Once they cut the countertop they did a "dry fit" of the sink and the new faucet to make sure everything would fit properly. I was told there could possibly be a lot of dust whenever you have work like this done but the technicians cleaned up as they worked so there was very minimal dust. We were very pleased with the results and with their attention to detail. We would definitely recommend them to others.

Recent Review: From the beginning, Alejandro (manager) was very helpful and professional. He came by, promptly and on time, to provide an estimate and we got that within the day. We had gotten estimates from others, and given the good ratings on Angie's list and the reasonableness of the estimate, we decided to go with Alamo Stone Art. We visited his business to pick out the granite. The installation was delayed due to our having to do some repairs of the cabinets. The installation was a bit problematic since our cabinets are old and were not completely level. There was also an initial issues with the cutout for the sink not fitting. Thus, we had to have installers out a few times to make corrections. Throughout the process Alejandro was very helpful and assured us that all the issues would be addressed - which they were. It was very nice to have confidence that the job would be done in a professional manner, regardless of issues encountered during the process. I would definitely recommend this business highly if you are thinking of getting new countertops (granite, quartz, etc.).

Recent Review: Jason was the ultimate professional, went over and above to help me choose the stone and accommodated after hour communications and meetings. Samples were provided to assist in selections in my home. The completed job is absolutely beautiful and very happy that I listened to Jason's recommendations and guidance. They were able to limit to a single seam and it is smooth as glass. Take care if you are reusing your existing faucet, the crew will uninstall as part of the service but as with most granite installers, they do not reinstall. It may be prudent to have a plumber uninstall as well. At the end of the day, the price was fair & competitive, the customer service impeccable and my kitchen looks wonderful. I would hire again!
