Reviews in Sacramento to Remodel Small Bathrooms
Spectrum One is our choice over and over again for renovating our home, which was built in the 1960s. Dennis comes out and looks at the scope of the project and gets back to you in a timely manner with an incredibly detailed and professional proposal. He takes into account your vision for the home and offers suggestions for improving the project or explains how the team can make that vision come to life. The project managers who oversee the project from start to finish have been diligent, respectful and ensure that the work being done is of the highest standards. They are on-site every day with a whole team working to get the job done as beautifully and as quickly as possible. The attention to detail from the whole group is what I most appreciate. We have used them for whole-home flooring (removal, installation and baseboards), recessed lighting, countertops, backsplash and would trust them with any project. We recently completed a third project with Spectrum One that included widening doorways, redoing an outdated fireplace hearth, and remodeling two bathrooms. Everyone at Spectrum One is quick to respond, honest, creative, and fun to be around. We love them and highly recommend to anyone looking to do a renovation, repair, or build

My newly remodeled bathroom looks FANTASTIC!! Every time I see it, I feel as though as I am at a spa; which is exactly what I was told I would be getting,. by his team before the work had begun. Ryan (the contractor) and Phil (the manager) did a terrific job making sure all the details have been addressed, before, during and after all the work was complete. This is exactly what any homeowner would want; someone to really understand their visions and carry out their plans. Often times, you hear about the horror stories, but this is a success story all around. I have already recommended this contractor to everyone I know and I can't wait to show off the complete renovation to everyone. Ryan has a great crew. We are very pleased that we found them. They are very professional, friendly and easy to talk to. Don't bother getting estimates from anyone else, give Wiseman Home Improvement a call and you'll be sure you did!

Our 60-year-old bathroom has been completely transformed. We had some water damage on the floor and in the pony wall. Wiseman’s replaced the damaged wood and rebuilt the wall. We wanted to add a shower to the existing bathtub. They were able to plumb the new bathtub and shower. It’s very quiet and it looks great. Wiseman’s also remodeled my kitchen in another home, and three years later, we still love it. We couldn’t be happier with their work

America's Dream HomeWorks
I've never done any remodeling to my house or had any work other than the occasional plumber or handyman. When I decided to completely makeover my bathroom, I felt a little overwhelmed. At America's Dream HomeWorks, it is a one-stop-shop. They take care of everything! You go to their incredible showroom and browse through flooring, tiles, quartz slabs, faucets, sinks, tubs, color schemes, etc. and pick out exactly what you want. (You can also go online with your consultant and shop for particular items - I found a hand-painted glass bowl sink and matching waterfall faucets.) The wonderful thing about a one-stop-shop remodel is you don't have to worry about anything. ADH ordered all the materials, brought them to my house, demolished my existing bathroom and took the rubble with them, and scheduled inspector visits. Beware of the lure of lower-priced competitors: I guarantee you their quote will not include everything ADH will do. Do you really want to demolish your own bathroom? Do you want to take the chance on ordering a bathtub that doesn't exactly fit or arrives broken? Your responsibility means it's your dime. Let your remodeler take care of it all. It's a breeze. During the remodel, Alex and Vlad were extremely neat and tidy. They protected my narrow hallways and beige carpet - and they never complained about my very steep staircase. Imagine lugging a cast-iron tub down the stairs with just two people! Since I'd never done any remodeling before, I expected the noise to be ear-splitting, but the guys were surprisingly quiet. Sometimes I wouldn't hear any activity and, thinking they were on a lunch break, I'd trot upstairs to take a peek at the progress. There they were, hammering away! Construction from my neighbor's house was louder than my own bathroom. I have had a certain style in mind for several years, and now I have my dream bathroom! Everything looks beautiful and I got exactly what I wanted. ADH was professional and very eager and happy to make my remodel experience easy and fun. Particularly during the 2020 pandemic, ADH handled everything very well. My contract from the pre-pandemic months was honored, there were no hidden fees or late penalties, and everything was in-stock and ready to go when the country opened back up again. Phone calls with Julie over the past months, talking with Alex and Vlad at the house every day, it made it seem like ADH was part of the family. This was not the "typical contractor" experience I was expecting. Everyone gave a little extra oomph to make sure I was in love with my bathroom. Thank you

Start date as per bid. Duration took a little longer than expected; however, all delays were communicated and explained. Delays were mostly due to interim inspections, supplier schedules and production time to prepare slabs/glass/mirrors for install.

America's Dream HomeWorks
If what you are looking for is the best possible upgrade project imaginable in your home, America’s Dream Homeworks is the company you want to hire … period. My wife and I shopped around a few different remodel companies for our master bathroom job. There were several things that set America’s Dream Homeworks (hereafter “ADH”) apart from the competition. First, the quality of the materials. Upon entering their huge showroom floor, you notice that they order and work with huge slabs of rock. We were looking to have our shower walls be made of single large slabs of stone, rather than tile or other patchwork linked together by grout. Grout is the first part of one’s shower to gather mildew, so having a single rock panel for the wall has a marked impact on reducing mildew problems. In addition, the other materials that they work with were all five-star quality as well. After leaving the showroom, we were sold. The only thing that could have made us choose another company at that point would have been poor customer service. However, the service team also left us very impressed. Osa, our in-home design consultant, was incredibly friendly, very informed about all of ADH’s product offerings, and had a very good knack for hearing my wife’s style preferences and finding great solutions for our bathrooms. She took her time taking measurements, and looking through product offerings to find solutions that would work well for our space. Osa presented us with a few different options for materials, at various quality/price tiers, so that we got a very good idea of what our finished job would look like at various price points. My wife of course chose some of the most high-end materials for our job, but it was within the scope of our budget. The entire in-home design consultation was handled thoroughly, methodically, and the end result was a design we knew we were going to love. Great work, Osa! Now we waited. Julie was assigned to be in communication with us during the waiting period and she was diligent about keeping us up to date. ADH had current projects ongoing and needed to make sure those were properly wrapped up. In addition, our materials had to be ordered and some of them had long lead times. Contract was signed in late October 2018. All materials were not received until mid-February 2019. For projects such as this, delays are a reality that must be both expected and worked around, so we were ready to wait. Julie also did a very good job keeping us informed during the waiting period, so we were never left in the dark and always knew what was happening. Mid-February arrived and our installation team was ready to go. Alex, Eric, and Ivan were our main go-to guys for the work. They demoed the bathroom. Upon opening up the walls, one often finds unexpected surprises, and we had a couple, but nothing serious. Within the first week, all of the principle demo work was done and they were ready to start installing. They did the ground work for the install of the various parts of the project, including taking extremely detailed measurements for the stone work. Throughout the entire process, the guys were very sensitive to our needs (we have a two-year-old son, so they were particularly sensitive to his nap and bed times) and they worked super long hours to make sure we stayed on schedule. Demo, patching up, and prep work took about a week and a half to complete. The special stone team came in led by another Alex (different from the Alex taking primary project lead) during week #2, and they were miraculously in and out in a single day. There was one panel in the master bathroom that they could not install on that day because we ordered a jacuzzi tub, so they needed the space open to access the wiring for the motor installation. Overall, though, we couldn’t believe that they did the stone work so incredibly fast. Also, the resulting fit and finish is super professional. It is extremely difficult to tell where two rock panels are cut and bonded together because of the seamless way they sealed the pieces up. Also, they did an amazing job matching the rock patterns from panel to panel, such that even where two separate panels are adjoining, the patterns flow from one to the other almost seamlessly. It was a fantastic install job! Week #3 rolled around and the team did some more basic patching work, including hooking up the sink hardware and installing our new toilets. However, this was a quiet work week as they scheduled some other install projects and gave some time for the rock sealing to set-up properly. Week #4 they knocked out the countertop, new sink hardware, and backsplash in our guest bathroom. Two-day turnaround for that. Then, they moved back into the master bath, installed the tub, put the final rock panel in place (complete with stone access door for the tub motor), and grouted the shower floor. Only the glass and some final patch-work remained to be done. There were a couple of additional delays for the glass delivery, which took two weeks, but again we knew that delays like this are commonplace for a project like this, so we took it in stride. Also, we were able to start using our jacuzzi tub and shower even though the glass wasn’t in yet, so we could start enjoying our new space while we waited … and enjoy it we did! Once delivered, the glass was installed in just two hours, and as of this morning all of the finishing touches were put in by Ivan, we passed city inspection, and happily shook hands with the team congratulating them on a job well done. Our finished bathrooms are … well … the company is called America’s Dream Homeworks for a reason … our finished project is like a dream come true. My wife and I now have our own personal luxury spa in our own home, complete with jacuzzi tub, overhead rain shower (with detachable spray handle that we can hold and modulate water pressure to while still getting rain shower from above), gorgeous rock walls with beautiful clear tempered glass enclosing the shower, and brand new countertops with deep sinks. We only did half of our guest bathroom. When we finish that project (need to remodel the shower space as only the counter tops were done in there) we will be calling ADH back. Overall 5-star work. 5-stars on the finished job. 5-stars on the customer service at all levels. 5-stars on the quality of the materials. 5-stars on the communication before and during the job. 5-stars on the professionalism and friendliness of our install teams. I can’t use enough superlatives for this company, for its people, and for the top tier quality of their workmanship. I say again here to close what I said at the beginning … if what you are looking for is the best possible upgrade project imaginable in your home, America’s Dream Homeworks is the company you want to hire. We could not be happier with the result. We will be calling them again in the future
I contacted Boyd for quote to install a new shower valve. I was very specific with the description of the work -- a first floor bathroom remodel where the shower wall will be open for their easy access. Copper pipe. Task is to sweat solder the new Delta universal shower valve provided by me, for a "shower only" (ie no tub) installation. The girl answering the phone was very pleasant but did not have any pricing. I discussed that I wanted to get at least a ball park estimate over the phone before bringing anyone out as I've seen some price gougers in the plumbing industry. She indicated she would speak to a tech and try to get back to me today or Monday with a ballpark. And she did do that - got back today. I give them a B on responsiveness -- an A would be having a standardized price list and ability to respond on the phone immediately, but this was decent service. However, on the price, they initially got an F. I've had this work done before -- last time it was $250, they provided the valve, and that was a tub and shower kit so required more joints, more copper, and more soldering as well as removing drywall to access the valve. This job is significantly easier. I've spoken to a few other plumbers this time to get current market rates and here's what the marketplace has provided me: - about 1 to 2 hours of work including cleanup, less if it's straightforward. - quotes in the range from $200 to $350 - Boyd quoted "$800 to $900." Which is 3x to 4.5x other quotes I was getting. Front desk was pleasant, responsive within her abilities and tried to be helpful. I initially provided a B on service, an F on pricing and D overall with a comment that it was possible something was lost in translation. UPDATE Mike Boyd called me back the following week to discuss my experience. He indicated they normally do not give out phone quotes, and the technician who quoted made a mistake and didn't understand my situation. He indicated that they provide free quotes, where others typically charge to come out and look at the job, and that for the $800-$900 price they would typically be supplying the shower valve, opening the wall, performing the sweat soldering and then doing a drywall patch to close the wall. I appreciate the call back, and that makes some more sense, although I still think the pricing is pretty high. The valve and the drywall materials have a combined material cost of less than $50 and if you add another 30-60 min of labor for the drywall cutting and replacement, it seems they are still rather expensive compared to other bids I received of about $200-$300. With all that said, I thought he was a nice guy, and since they provide free quotes, I would let them take a look at future jobs and would consider trying them again. I raised their overall score to a B, with the downgrade for not having their business policies and practices clear with employees, and for what seems like still a rather high price. If I could give a B-/C+, that's really where I'd pit the experience overall this time. But I'd consider trying them again as I do have a sense they would try to make things right if there were issues . In this instance, I got the job done by someone else for $250 and they did just fine, and fast
Joel of Usher Building was very professional and knowledgeable. The passion he has for his work shows in his workmanship. He was very detailed and informative throughout the entire remodel. Any future projects that I have, I will definitely be giving Usher Building & Design a call for rehire!
They did a very good job. They keep their appointments and do a complete job. They've done my floors, roof, installation of new appliances... they've done a lot for me. I've been very satisfied with the thorough jobs they've done. I have no problems with using them in the future.

Outstanding I am so excited and pleased with my new windows! My experience with SunStone Home Services was great. Rick was very knowledgeable about the product and answered all my questions. His enthusiasm and confidence in the product was a big factor in my decision to purchase from them versus other company. The friendly staff in the office (Jennifer) really went above and beyond most, and the installers were very professional and did a great job! I have received many compliments and I am happy to recommend SunStone Home Services to anyone
We hired home improvement studio to replace our floor in the entire house and a full bathroom remodel. they completely tore the bathroom apart and all the laminate flooring. We replaced it with new luxury vinyl planks and new painted baseboards for the bathroom they built it back brand new. they changed out the flooring to tile and installed a beautiful white vanity. we shared our vision with them for the shower area and they definitely came through. they installed a brand new tub with new shower tile and added a beautiful niche with led lights! honestly couldn’t have asked for any better service. they completed this within two weeks which is exactly what we needed, since it was right before our daughters wedding and we were expecting guests. it is beyond unrecognizable and we love it. definitely worth paying for a quality job
George is skilled, easy to work with, and goes above and beyond to get the job done. Despite expanding the scope of work (unforeseen issues in an old home), the job was done on time and beyond our expectations. We are so happy with the results! George was communicative with both my partner and I throughout the entire process, we plan to hire him again for future projects and cannot recommend him highly enough
From start to finish, the America?s Dream Homeworks team was incredibly professional, helpful, and friendly. From the first day, Mark and John, our head contractors, would take the time to answer all our questions (in person, via phone, and via email) and walk us through each step of the remodel project. Our ADH construction team, Vlad, Vasily, and Peter were hardworking and responsible. They always took the time to clean up at the end of the day too. Lana managed our billing/account very smoothly. The entire team was very responsive to our questions and concerns. Our remodel project consisted of a complete kitchen remodel (demolition, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, finishes), removing one wall between the kitchen and dining area, a full bathroom remodel (demolition, plumbing, electrical, finshes), re-carpeting one room, installing laminate wood on one staircase, and refinishing all the hardwood floors in our house. They completed the work on time and didn't try to fit in other small jobs between ours. The ADH team was very helpful with suggestions on materials and design elements for each project. In the kitchen, they installed Sensa granite countertops, Timberlake cabinetry, and Bedrosians floor tiles. In the bathroom, they installed Piedrafina marble shower walls and vanity countertop, Timberlake vanity cabinet, and Bedrosians floor tile. Everything looked great and we couldn't have asked for more. One thing that I appreciated about working with Mark and John is that there was no cost over-run. The quote at the beginning is exactly what we paid at the end of the project. I would suggest being certain and clear about what your vision is for the project and getting it documented in the contract. This being my first time doing a remodel, I realize that I was not as prepared with making decisions as I should have been. That said, ADH was very accommodating of change orders during the project and was very reasonable about pricing. This was definitely a pleasant experience all around. Thanks ADH!
Solid Construction and Design was referred to me by a neighbor and they did not disappoint! I had my bathroom renovated and they did a beautiful job. They were upfront with everything, delivered excellent service, job was done on time, very competitive with regards to cost. Will definitely have them come back to do more work in the future

They care about their clients, I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a remodeling contractor for their home renovation
