Reviews in Sacramento for Countertop Installation
STONE & BEYOND
Excellent service and communication. Friendly and helpful. Great follow-up. Installation crew was friendly, efficient and detailed. No issues.
- Michael B....
From beginning to end, the process went smoothly. The design consultant, Carla, brought samples and information about all aspects of the countertop and was most helpful. The employees doing the measuring showed up at the time they said they would be there. Same for the installers. Installation of the countertop was quick. The installers were knowledgeable, efficient and answered any questions during installation. They installed the granite sink, new fixtures and disposal. We are quite happy with the countertop and sinks. Almost two months after installation and everything is good. The warranty is lifetime which is impressive

Tom Hummel Tile & Stone
Tom suggested that I use large 24" tiles on my countertops in the master to save on cost! It turned out amazing and I only have 2 grout lines for a fraction of the cost that granite or any other countertop would have been. Tom also installed tile on the bath floor and found a coordinating baseboard tile to replace my small old baseboards. Tom did a quality job and always cleaned up after himself

Block Tops Inc
The experience with them has been horrible and I only hope that Home Depot come to their senses and stop contracting through Block Tops. A company like this should get their license revoked and banned from doing business so they can stop cheating customers. This company feels no accountability for the poor job they do and will try to lie their way out of the damages they create and if that fails, nickel and dime you to fix them. They tried to lie their way out of having to replace a sink they broke (installer said it must have been cracked before, their office said they didn't know we were going to reuse the sinks - all lies and Home Depot ended up having to provide a new sink), created holes all over the dry walls that are big enough to put a fist and taking no accountability to fix the holes - insisting they would just cover up the holes with the back splash (which is against the builders code). I understand that not all jobs will go perfectly, but the least we can expect is accountability, honesty, and decency in how a business is run and the service they provide to their customers. Unfortunately, Block Tops has none of those

STONE & BEYOND
We chose Stone and Beyond because of their reputation on Angie's List and because we trusted Judy Lay. Once we called their office and spoke with her, she came out the next day (45 miles to our house) and provided her bid. She has a very good eye for detail and her demeanor was very professional and knowledgeable. It was easy to talk to her and ask her questions and she gave honest answers and educated us about choices we could make. We wanted Quartz and she suggested Silestone which had a pattern that would work very well with our cabinets, etc. We visited her office/shop and made final selections of the Quartz, sink and faucet. The demolition crew also did the installation work. They were very proficient as well as very pleasant. They were careful to protect our floors and cabinets and cleaned up the area. We had our countertops replaced as well as full backsplash and island done and the final product is absolutely beautiful. We could not be happier. We would definitely choose Judy Lay and company again because of their high quality workmanship but also because they communicate so well. When we called their office, we got to speak to someone immediately and if we needed Judy and she wasn't there, she called us right back

Kitchen Mart Inc
Josh over at KitchenMart is a true professional. He stayed with the project every step of the way. My wife and I went to the showroom to pick out our countertops for our two bathrooms. The showroom is clean and they had a great variety of products to choose from. We made our decision and ordered the product. The office called us with the installation date. The installer showed up on time and installed the countertops in the time that was promised. He was clean cut and professional looking. I highly recommend this company and will be using them to install our kitchen countertops when we are ready

Kitchen Mart Inc
Very well. They actually finished a day early. The only glitch was needing a new electrical line for our cooktop. Was a bit costly to do, but I suppose this is not unusual for electrical work. And it was done promptly, so it did not delay completion of the job.

I could not be more disappointed in Counter Fit. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’ve ever experienced. Hired them through Home Depot to install quartz countertops. It took 5 months for them to get it installed. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks. So, after two months went by with no communication from them, I began calling. But the project manager would not return my calls. This happened for 3.5 months! And when they did get installed, two pieces were missing from the side edging. And a HUGE gap exists between the kitchen window and counter due to poor measurements. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

The crew came and demolished existing countertop. They were quick and prompt. It would've been good to know that we'd be responsible for touch-up paint. But they did a beautiful job in fabricate the quartz and the cut-out sink flush. Install was great.

COUNTERTOP DESIGNS INC
Countertop Designs - customer service component of this company is so bad, I am surprised they are still in business.?? For Countertop Designs, after each interaction I thought, this experience just cannot get any worse but it did.? If you are wanting a company to install your countertops to stand behind their installed product material and work to address issues that may arise, do yourself a favor and run away from this company as quickly as you can.? They will absolutely not stand behind their product and correct issues with the installation.? This is my 2016 experience .? 1)??? Countertop Design workers scheduled to come to the house at 9:00 A.M.? to template/measure the counter area. They arrived between 11 AM and 12PM. The person showed us a post it note from the scheduling person that has 11:00 AM arrival at our house.? Apparently someone at Countertop Design changed the time they were to arrive but did not tell us. 2)??? Four days later they were scheduled to install the counters between 9-10 AM. No one arrived.? Called Countertop Design at 11AM.? The scheduled worker called us and said he would arrive by 2 PM.? By 3:00, no one arrived.? I called again and asked to speak to the owner. The owner said someone would be here by 3:30. The owner seemed to suggest the problem was mine for possibly insisting on a short timeline between measurement and countertop installation.? The owner said something like it's unusual to have such a short time between the workers taking measurements and the counter install.? I told her I took the dates the office employees gave me and did not ask for a specific date.? She did not continue with that line of excuses. I said it's Friday, the end of a long week, and the counters will take 3-4 hours to install.? That's a long day for the installers I said and I want my counters done by someone who is not very tired.? The owner said no problem, the installers are used to long days when they travel from Sacramento to work in the Bay Area.? Reluctantly I said ok.? By 4:30 no one arrived to install my counters. I called the owner and said it is not reasonable to expect me to have counters installed beginning at 5:00 PM or possibly later.? Reluctantly the owner said she would reschedule the workers for the next day.? The install took 5 hours.? If I had not insisted that they come another day, the installers would have been working in my house until at least 10:00PM on a Friday night. The installers were very efficient, and did a very nice job with the countertops and the sink cutout undermounting.? 3)??? Two weeks after the install, I noticed 1/4-1/2 inch light gray spots randomly over the white counters and backsplash.? The discoloration was not present initially . I stopped payment on the second 1/2 of the payment, wrote them an email with attached pictures showing the discoloration. ?One of their office employees came out to inspect the spots, used a cleaner to determine whether the discoloration was on the surface, and agreed the discoloration was below the surface and a flaw in the material. 4)??? Several days later the office employee who came to my house sent me a photo of a shelf made of the same material in the company office with the same discoloring in one area with the statement " I guess that is just the look of the material."? I said if that was the look of the material, should not the 2 samples that I was given have the spots so I knew the real look of the material when I selected it?? 5)??? A Countertop Design employee contacted the manufacturing company sales rep for the countertop material I purchased.? The sales rep contacted me and said they would replace the countertops and request 3-4 pictures of the discolorations. 6)??? I heard nothing from Countertop Designs for about 3 weeks, contacted the sales rep for the countertop material who stated that the material was delivered to Countertop Designs 7 days ago.? I received no contact from Countertop Design.? I emailed them asking to schedule the countertop reinstall.? No response for two days. I emailed again and did get a response.? The person said things were busy and would email with a date for the reinstall.? 7)??? The next day I received a proposed date for the reinstall with a few questions/ comments.? One comment/question was: "Do your countertop backsplashes have any of the discolorations? The reason I ask is because the 1 sheet of material the sales rep delivered is not large enough to remake the countertop and backsplashes. So we need to re-use the existing backsplashes." Apparently the sales rep sent 1 sheet of replacement material and rather than Countertop Designs asking for the amount needed to replace all the countertops, they are going to do part of the job and leave the discolored material in place for the back splashes .? Wow! I told Countertop Designs that was not acceptable but I should not even have to have the conversation with them about why leaving a discolored back splash is unacceptable.? The Countertop Design employee was in my house looking at the discoloration on the countertops.? The employee just did not request enough material to reinstall my countertops and wanted me to accept a partially discolored countertop. 8)??? When I made it clear that a partial replacement was insufficient, the Countertop Design employee said they wanted to send out their repair person to see if the discoloration could be buffed out. ?? That is the nice thing about solid surface material? said the Countertop Designs employee,? ? it can be buffed and polished.? The repair person arrived, and the discoloration could not be buffed out.? That was reported back to Countertop Designs by the employee. 9)??? That same day Countertop Designs employee called and began the conversation by saying ?did you get a special deal on the countertop material?? No I said, why do you ask? He said, I am just now looking at the paperwork and this job is really underbid. (this is the same person who came out to my house initially to look at the discoloration?..with the invoice for the job IN HIS HAND!!)? He then said I think I must have caught sales person XXX in doing something wrong in this bid.? We are going to have to make a business decision on this he said because this job is ?underwater?.? I said are you suggesting you are going to walk away from this sale and installation?? The Countertop Designs employee says well we are ?underwater?.? I said to him this was the price we were given.? The countertop material was defective, which is no one?s fault.? The manufacturer stepped up to replace the material.? Countertop Designs is the one not stepping up to do the right thing.? Is that what your Company stands for I asked?? The employee said I will talk to my boss and call back, 10) When he called back I said I am very disappointed with Countertop Designs.? You do not stand behind your sales and work, you are very willing to throw your sales people under the bus as an excuse for why you should not replace defective material.? I don?t want to continue this business relationship.? Just refund the ? of the total cost I paid and we will end this.? Countertop Designs would not do that- as their sales person wrote ? that is not how the world works?. I was getting a lecture about the world from an age 20 or early 30 ish something person!!? WOW!! We will rip out the countertop and refund your money or we can both walk away at this point. ? 11) Already their delay in replacing the countertops was getting to the point that I might not be able to keep the dates the plumber and tile person has reserved for the laundry room remodel---more and more delays.? In addition I purchased a new sink and was concerned about damage that might occur to the sink should they remove the countertop.? Certainly Countertop Designs would not pay for a new sink.? After consulting my attorney, we decided to leave the counters in place for now.? I told Countertop Designs to sign a letter of agreement that the ? amount paid would be the final price and send a paid in full invoice..? They have done that quickly to get rid of this issue I believe 12) The Countertop Designs installers did a very nice job; the company management is the worse I?ve ever encountered through a house construction and remodel in which we did business with many companies.? I understand Countertop Designs subcontracts countertop installation for Sears.? It is likely that this job was an annoyance for them and they did not want to deal with making my countertops install right even tho the manufacturer of the product did.? On YELP and Angie?s list, Countertop Designs gets mostly good reviews.? I can see how that would be.? It appears that those were reviews for installs with no issues.? However the critical reviews given to Countertop Designs are for instances in which there WAS an issue.? As one such reviewer stated ?they basically told me to go pound sand?? And that was my experience.? If there is an issue, and expect this company to stand behind your thousands of dollars job, you should not use this company.? Go to another installation company because unexpected things do happen.? Mine was nobody?s direct fault.? Manufacturing issues happen.? Addressing those is part of what a worthwhile business does.? Countertop Designs did not keep their end of the business transaction

STOKES GRANITE & STONE INC
I honestly can't say enough good things about this company! Their professionalism from beginning to end is second to none. When looking into re-doing our kitchen counters, we obtained several quotes. Not only was Stokes more reasonable than the rest, but they by far more prompt and efficient in getting us our quote quickly. The tear-out and install were handled with great care. Since we were not planning on replacing the cabinets, it was crucial to ensure that nothing got damaged. The crew was amazing! Now in looking at my new countertops, I can't stop smiling. I'm totally in love with my kitchen. And that's not something I could have said before. We're especially glad that we chose the chiseled edge on the countertops. It goes perfectly with the funky feel of the rest of the house. We HIGHLY recommend Stokes Granite & Stone to anyone looking for kitchen or bathroom stone work

STONE & BEYOND
The firm was very professional. They arrived on time for the creating of the template and for the actual installation a few days later. They had solutions for an uneven surface at our window which worked out beautifully. The installation went very well. Extensive levelling of the countertop was required due to an existing uneven area to begin with. We are very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend this company. We were very impressed with everyone we dealt with

Ben's Floors and Remodeling
I am very happy about the work by Ben’s team. He completed the work ahead of schedule and with good price. He attended to details and communicated promptly. I will definitely hire him again.
i met these guys at the Home and Garden Show and decided to take a chance and hire them to do my garage floor even though I knew nothing about them. They were very quick responding to my request for a quote, then clearly and thoroughly explained what would be involved in doing the work in my garage. We agreed the install would begin 8am Monday morning, and the team showed up exactly the time I expected. All five people working on my garage floor were very friendly and they really seemed to enjoy their work. It was an 11 hour day for them, but they completed the job thoroughly and it's beautiful. I thought the price I paid was very fair and fee like it was money well spent! I would recommend Garage Experts wholeheartedly
They were very professional. We always knew when they were going to be coming they were prompt and the communication was great. We got three quotes and they were the cheapest. We are very happy with the way the driveway looks!
It went well. We purchased Dave's design package from Angie's list and Dave produced some computer rendered layouts. He informed us that he has the cabinets custom built and that we could get any dimensions which is what we needed because we wanted some non-standard sizes. The design is not about him recommending what style cabinets, appliances, etc. to use but basically a layout - he told us that if we wanted any modifications, such as narrower cabinets or island size , he could do that. Based upon the initial consultation, he provided his price for providing the service. We interviewed another kitchen remodeling company and had two representatives over. They basically were sales people. They provided better computer generated layouts of the kitchen but did not offer custom cabinets. Their estimate was unreasonably low and they steered us towards using their specific brand types. Checking them out on internet review sites, we confirmed that if you purchased their service, you never see them again but only see the separate workers performing the various construction steps. We contracted with Dave, took a few weeks deciding cabinet style and final layout and had Dave start the process. The cabinets were built, demo occurred in half a day and the cabinets delivered and installed the same day and following day. The countertop guy came, made templates, fabricated the countertop, and installed about a week later. We had selected a rather expensive granite that came in larger than normal slabs, so there was enough left after the countertops to use as a full backsplash instead of using tile as we had previously planned. So the granite guy then measured, fabricated and installed the granite backsplash. Dave's crews installed the appliances, and modified and installed some electrical boxes. The cutting board and cabinet door spice rack were not what we thought we had ordered, so they were redone to our satisfaction. Dave's workers were very respectful and good people. Dave showed up every time there was work going on to see how it was going. Dave answered his phone every time we called him. We've had some poor experiences with contractors in the past and it was a pleasure to have a guy you could trust working for you. We had some misunderstandings as to what exactly we wanted, but Dave had told us that he was on the job until we got what we wanted. This proved to be the case. If your on a tight budget you may wish to ask Dave to provide you a detailed cost breakdown. We didn't as we knew we were going to blow the budget on granite and we simply were going to get what we wanted for once in our lives
Perryman's crew were great. Their attention to detail was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their work. Usually when hiring contractors, there is, even in the best situations complaints you find. But not with the work of Mike and Sven (the painters)
Arno provided excellent support and ideas throughout the process. We had several design elements (and two different perspectives) to be merged and he patiently incorporated them into evolving iterations until the design met our needs. The cabinets were done and installed within the promised timeline. The final product (71 inch bath vanity and a separate floor to ceiling cupboard) is even more beautiful, and of a higher quality, than we had hoped for. Arno was very responsive and his work is of the highest quality
AGC Contractor is incredibly professional and efficient. Gerardo was able to install 5 solar tube skylights in one day (wow!)! ACG Contractor is a class-act: honest in their estimates, straight-forward with their proposals, and flexible in their ability with adapting to customer desires. I made a last-minute change regarding the location of one of the solar tubes the night before the project was to commence and Gerardo gladly accepted the change and installed it in the new location. No fuss, no worry. My house is so much brighter with our new solar tubes and we couldn’t be happier with the results! I highly recommend ACG Contractor
We are very happy with the work of GVD Renovations. They replaced our backsplash, countertops and fireplace. Really great work, punctual and asked me questions throughout the whole process to make sure we got what we wanted. Igor was also great with the finance process. Will definitely come back to GVD Renovations for more jobs. Thank you Vlad, Igor and team
Everything went as planned or better. On time, professional and quality throughout. We couldn't be happier. From the initial salesman through the final clean-up we felt like we were truly appreciated and respected. Thay were clean and courteous and very attentive to all our needs. Thank You Northwest
They were very professional, helpful and responsive in answering questions and giving us a quote. In the end, we decided not to repair the countertop and sink but replace it entirely. as the previous owner installed it and it no longer fit our decor. Even though we didn't use them to make the repairs, we were very impressed with their customer service
We went to the showroom and were treated very well. Steve came by the house 2 days later and took measurements and gave us an estimate. Very professional. Within 2 weeks they were ready to go. They did the demolition and installation of the countertop while we were out of town for the week. We felt very comfortable leaving the house in their hands. The backsplash was back-ordered, so it was installed 2 weeks later. Again, very professional installers who worked for the company. There was extra granite left over from the slab, so they made, polished, and sealed a table top for our breakfast nook - a real bonus

What do customers in Sacramento say about Concrete Countertop Installation?
Dustin was helpful and cheerful through the entire process. He was patient as we slowly chose our colors and styles and was always happy to meet with us at his shop or to discuss via phone, text or email. The counter and backsplashes were delivered on time and were installed quickly and without incident. Everything was cleaned up and put in order before they left. Dustin even checked in with us afterward to make sure we were completely happy with the product. I am very happy with the concrete countertops and extremely happy with Dustin and Buckets of Stone. I would recommend them to anybody .
