Woodfin

This was part of our annual maintenance contract, so there was no charge for this visit. The service technician was efficient and knowledgeable; and answered our questions and addressed our concerns very satisfactorily. He recommended a reseating of a toilet to insure against the potential of damage at a later date, and we took his advice

STEPP PLUMBING & HEATING
5.0
Stepp worked as subcontractor on project. But I was able to communicate with him direct. He sold fixtures at fair price, was repsonsive to calls, showed-up on time for scheduled appts and did great job on install. During course of construction plannig when looking at job for pricing, he also helped with ideas on style and placement

J T Waters Inc
5.0
Mr. Waters arrived right on time and worked steadily, explaining each step of what he was doing. The plumbing fixtures he was dealing with were old, so extra work was involved to remove the old parts. This probably added time/expense to his visit, but I felt his price was extremely fair, and I enjoyed learning from him. If you're looking for a skilled, professional plumber who takes pride in his work, Mr. Waters is the man for you

Blake Door Systems LLC
5.0
The only reason I gave them a "B" in responsiveness is because I thought they were supposed to call me under this new rapid connect plan... Once I called Mr. Blake, he was extremely responsive getting someone out to my house quickly. I think I will just ignore the rapid connect thing and just call next time. This may be an Angie's List problem - see my review on Foster's Plumbing... same thing. Brian checked the balance of the door, the springs, the motor, and the function of the door. I asked him a ton of questions about garage doors and he patiently answered all of them and gave me a quick class on proper maintenance. He was very professional, knowledgable and went about examining the garage door quickly and efficiently. I plan on using them in the future

Absolute Plumbing & Mechanical
5.0
The men from Absolute were super friendly and very considerate, taking their shoes off at the door to make sure they didn't track anything in the house. They listened to my concerns, and clearly explained what actions they would perform to diagnose the problem. Once found, they went over pricing and discounts for the job and performed the work quickly and neatly. This was the best experience i have ever had with a contractor and as a result, I will never use another plumbing service. Absolute Plumbing is absolutely wonderful! Great prices and even better service

R J Tilley Plumbing & Heating Inc
5.0
I called R.J. Tilley. I described my problem. i intermittently had water leaking from ceiling in dining room. the next day they sent a polite and professional plumber who pinpointed the problem. a section of cast iron out line was split. he spent some time looking behind and under various plumbing fixtures, until he determined that he would have to rip out some plaster to get to the leak. he asked me first and told me the approximate cost of having the plaster replaced. he carefully removed the absolute minimum and located the problem. he then gave me an estimate for fixing the problem. replacing about 10 feet of the main out line from the third floor. they returned when they said they would. actually 15 minutes early. they final price was slightly less than the actually estimate. they also cleaned up after themselves very well. I only gave them a "B" for price because they are a little more expensive than some plumbers. but you get what you pay for. and i wouldn't hesitate to call these guys again, because quality work is always a bargain

Riverside Remodeling

and quot;It looks like something from a magazine!and quot; This has been the reaction from three separate visitors. From two others, there was a jaw-drop reaction and the only comment was and quot;Wow!and quot;. We're so proud of our new master bath, my husband has started bringing in delivery men and anyone who comes to the door to show off the bathroom. Tim Evans IS Riverside Remodeling. He does everything I've mentioned himself (with a helper as necessary). The only thing he did not do on our bath remodel was the glass shower enclosure and the vanity countertop. Tim initially came out to see what we wanted done in order to give us an estimate. He gave us several good suggestions (like adding a linen cabinet) and outlined various options that we might want to consider. He sent us his estimate in about a week and a half to two weeks. We had already picked out our tile, lighting and plumbing fixture choices. I had found several great websites for the lights and plumbing, I had done a lot of plumbing research online and had also ordered those. Once we decided to proceed ahead with Tim, he came back out to give us figures on how much of each type of tile to order. I found a wholesale outlet to order the tile through. We did run short on tile, however, and Tim called the original showroom where we picked out the tile, got a discounted price (which he passed on to us), and went and picked the tile up for us. He is happy to call his sources to get installer prices and pass the savings on to his clients. I ordered cabinets from a big box store and he picked them up and installed them. He relocated the plumbing for the shower, built the curb and a half wall in front of the toilet. He laid the shower pan and then tiled the walls, shower floor, and bath floor. He wired for and installed new heater/light/fan combo. Installed new receptacles and switches, can lights, and light fixtures. He installed LED lights under the vanity cabinet, and installed an occupancy detector switch which cuts them on when we enter the bathroom at night for a nightlight. He also painted the ceiling, walls, and trim. At the end of the job, we decided to use some extra floor tile to put a tile floor in our half bath as well. Every time I'm in the shower I feel like I've gone to a resort somewhere! As far as using him again? We moved straight from our master bath into a second contract with Riverside Remodeling for our kitchen remodel. We couldn't recommend them more highly. I'd give them an A+
The sales-person was great, but things went wrong. First, the service people installed the 'wrong' filter. I was never told why it was wrong, but the one they proceeded to install that same day was a different color. But it turns out, they hadn't prepped the 'right' filter (the second one they installed after uninstalling the 'wrong' one). As a result, within a day, a purple/gray film coated all my pipes, my tub, my toilets, and my sinks. At first, I had to stick my hand in the toilets (tub and sinks) to wipe off the film almost every other day. The service people came and changed the filter several times over the next months (and they didn't charge me), but almost a year later, the dust (carbon?) is in my pipes themselves, so even though the filter is clean, the problem persists. The $200.00 discount they gave me doesn't make up for that. Sp that's two mistakes in one: they installed the wrong filter and they didn't prep the second one they installed. Then in April, right near the filter they installed, there was an incredible banging noise, and I thought the pipes were going to burst! So, although it was after hours, I had them come to fix it (during COVID, and the guy wore no mask). This time, the mistake was something they won't take responsibility for: the City of Richmond pipes apparently sent in more water pressure than their unit could handle, so the pipes were banging against each other. The service-person's (successful) solution was to add a hard-plastic twisty-tie connecting their unit's pipe to my house's pipe. (Look carefully at the attached photo to see this tiny black plastic tie!) Because Waterpro is located an hour-and-a-half from my home (that's my bad judgment), and presumably because the City's water pressure is an "Act of God," this repair wasn't in any way covered in my one-year warrantee. So I paid over $437.00 for a hard-plastic twisty-tie. Personally, I think the City's of Richmond's water pressure problems are more predictable than "Acts of God," and I think Water-pro should install equipment with the possibility of random high increases in City water pressure in mind. Anyway, I should say, again, that the sales-person was wonderful, and Julie, who talked to me many times on the phone, was extremely kind and competent. Thanks for reading this. Jan
We had an excellent experience with Agape. Mr. Clark came out ASAP to assess our situation (free of charge) and scheduled the work quickly. He was incredibly professional/knowledgeable throughout and did a great job for what we felt was a reasonable price. He cleaned up without a trace and even put those booty things over his shoes before entering our home. AND, he came back the next day (a Saturday), pro bono, to fix a water heater leak that popped up after he had cut it off temporarily to complete the pipe repair (not his fault- it had to do with a crappy valve installed by the previous homeowner). We highly recommend this company!

This is the third time we've had Brendan do work for us. Just as with the first two jobs, he was well, first class all the way. Prompt, efficient, all work performed exactly as quoted and with 100% professionalism. Would we call on Brendan again - in a heartbeat.
