We met with several contractors and Greg separated himself from the rest immediately. He took time to explain the process to us, set proper expectations, and you could tell he was detail oriented and incredibly professional. It didn't stop once we hired him. He was proactive in his communication, always confirmed our communications in writing, and gave us the best ways to communicate with him so he could respond quickly, and accurately. We upheld our end of the bargain for payments, making material selections, and being flexible with availability - Greg made the rest seamless. He did a fantastic job and the work done is outstanding, we couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Greg for his proactive communication, commitment to doing the job right, being professional, as well as his expertise. He made a bathroom remodel a stress free endeavor that came in on budget! Great service and pro. I would hire him again without questions.

The designer in charge, Carrie Faulkner, messed up on several occasions. First, I had asked to have a curved shower rod put in. Without even checking, she went forward with the job and apparently in my bathroom the door will not open with a curved shower rod. I of course was unaware of this until the job was done. With them being the experts, I would think that she would have the know-how that this would be a problem. Another thing they were supposed to do was raise the cabinets. My bathroom has natural woodwork, and the apron beneath the window sill needed to be taken off by a few inches so that the cabinets could be raised. She did not do this either. I found the workman putting the tile bar in the wrong spot, and the grout they did around the vanity was in the wrong color. Not only was the grout in the wrong color, but they had to come back 3 times and did a terrible job with it. The toilet in my bathroom has broke twice and they have been unresponsive and don't seem to care. Another thing that I wanted to point out is that a woman who no longer works there is still on the automated message when you call.

He put up with all my constant questions and concerns and always responded with a smile. His crew is talented and trust worthy. The project has been completed since 10/2015 and David has returned on several occasions to correct a small grout issue. I will definitely hire him in the future!

Every time we had heavy rains our Master Bedroom wall would leak water. Charles came out and diagnosed our problem. The vent pipes didn't have collars around them and the caulking was leaking. He submitted and estimate the next day both through email & regular mail. Through wonderful office communication with his wife, JoAnne and the office staff, we were able to sign the contract and get the job finished within the week. Before the next round of heavy rains!!

Everyone; from the salesman that initially came in and explained the services offered, to the installer that completed the work; were completely professional. They efficiently removed the old shower and extended the original space to twice the size by removing a dead space wall. All of the wood and insulation was replaced and the plumbing updated. The final product is elegant and spacious. The installer in particular took great care to make sure that every evening after working that the space was cleared of clutter. When the shower was finished, he made sure to clean the space and returned everything to where it was before he came in. Everyday he would update us on how the install was progressing and when he would expect to be complete. Our new shower is everything we were promised and more. The extended size of the shower and the hanging glass doors gives the entire room an completely new feel and openness that was previously missing. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to update/replace their current bathroom/shower.

I found John Simpson et al. when I first joined Angie's List last year. He put a vanity and new faucets in the half bath. So neat and professional. He did such a great job and he ended up charging me less than the quote because he didn't need to do as much as he originally thought he would. How often does a person charge less than what they quoted. They are just honest, hard working guys...with a need to vacuum and clean after themselves (oh, they also moved the large pieces of furniture I couldn't...no charge). This time I had them basically redo the bedroom. Zipping it up with some crown and doing some essential patchwork on the old walls that are cracking and showing nail heads. The paint job is so beautifully done. I picked two colors for the walls and the "cut in" work is just perfect. I have no question that I'm in safe hands and I come and go at will when they're here. From my experiences with Simpson's Home Improvements, I don't have any worries about who to call when I need some work. I can't wait till we do my next project. Oh, BTW...these guys are great...they hung my drapes back up and fixed a loose faucet just 'cause...that's the way they roll! Don't hesitate to call Simpson's...you'll be very pleased with their work and them!

He completed the work in the time frame promised and I was very satisfied with the quality. The work area was left neat and clean. I thought the price was fair. Super Service Award Recent Review: So on a scale of 1 to 10, Dana gets a 15. He swooped in and saved the day on a bathroom remodel that was supposed to be a simple retiling project, but ended up becoming *A*WHOLE*BIG*THING once we discovered rotted joists, walls at absurd angles, and some general insanity caused by a terrible previous remodel. At every step of the way, he showed me exactly what the issues were and talked through all the options, and was always incredibly conscious of time and budget. The man worked weekends, the day after Thanksgiving, the day after Christmas, just to get me finished sooner since he knew we were out of our main bathroom and had no other tub for our 1 year old. He had great suggestions for drastically improving the look of the room with simple additions to trim and other small, affordable aesthetic suggestions. He's an absolute craftsman. It's so hard to find "the guy"-- you know, "the guy" you call for any issue, know he'll handle it fantastically, honestly and for a great price. He does big projects, handy work, anything-- and if it's something he can't do for some reason, he'll be straight with you right away. I would trust him on any/all projects in the future, he's a gem. Also, my dog and baby love him, for what it's worth :)

Recent Review: They are absolutely excellent! He's a very honest man, he lets you know exactly what the problem is, and he doesn't make up problems. They're here on time, they clean up well, and it was actually just a pleasure working with him. We knew we had some issues to take care of. He would show you other issues, and you need to see that there were issues, and he's really just an upfront honest guy. I'll have him back for sure. I would call him a home Joan Holmes. I thought he was very reasonable. I would use them in a heartbeat. I wish they would move in here with me and then I would have more opinion. I got them from Angie's List.
