Artisan Custom Renovations, LLC

Luis Torres is indeed a craftsman when it comes to renovations. I am a general contractor and I have hired Luis to work on several projects. The first was installing crown molding where I was impressed with his talent and level of detail. After that I hired him on various projects for houses I have renovated. Some of the projects he has done for me were; building a deck, installing kitchen cabinets and counter tops, installing doors, structural work - installing headers, framing load bearing and non load bearing walls, he basically rebuilt a failing floor system on the second story of one project. He always comes through for me and does so in a professional and courteous manor. Luis understands every aspect of construction and has the knowledge and confidence of years of experience in the industry. I can not recommend him enough and actually he is the only 'all in one' contractor that I have ever recommended to my friends.

Shawn has done an excellent job for me in a number of different areas. From fixing screen doors to framing walls, he has performed great. I have a number of rental houses and am in the business of repairing and renting or selling properties so I have seen him take on and handle many tasks professionally and for a very fair price. He has a good guarantee on his work too (in writing).

Wayne Builders, LLC

Wayne was absolutely wonderful to work with and very professional. Quote was ready quickly and priced reasonably & accurately as the job was completed on budget. The quality of the work (drywall, trim, painting, flooring, cabinetry) was excellent. Wayne communicated daily about what the schedule was, came by to check on any contractors, and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. Would absolutely use this company again for home repairs or remodeling that we would need.

Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair

Great! The work was done last November and I chose to wait a couple months to see if the fix would last over time. It did! They also had another drainage issue that I was unaware of. Fixed that too at no extra charge. I had 3 estimates. I picked Falcone because their solution made the most sense to me...and they had the lowest cost estimate. Great people to work with. They installed a french drain,a sump pump, and reran gutter downspouts.

We could not be happier with our experience working with Steve and with the final outcome. From start to finish, Steve was responsive, transparent, and easy to work with. The estimates were detailed, clear, and accurate. Steve was patient and supportive as we worked through design details, and we really appreciated his expertise in helping us turn our ideas and preferences into practical solutions. Steve's commitment to quality was evident through the whole process; he was always willing to ensure that everything was done right, and that we were happy. He was onsite often to direct and check-in with his team, and also to check-in with us to ensure that our expectations were being met, and to keep us well-apprised as the project progressed. Thanks to Steve, we now have a basement that we love and that we actively are enjoying with friends and family. We would work with Steve again in a heartbeat!

Windows Doors & More Inc

Todd and his team did an excellent job remodeling our basement. They patched existing drywall and installed new drywall in the walls and ceilings. They put a lot of effort into making sure the seams are very smooth. They replaced existing and installed new crown molding, baseboard and window trim, and installed a new shelf for our walk-in closet. They also crafted a custom drywall and wood trim ceiling for our games closet with a hatch to access the exterior spigot shutoff valve. It is beautifully crafted and will protect our games from overhead dust. Their craftsmanship throughout is very impressive. Despite the debris and dust created by the project, they left the basement in a very neat condition throughout the project and at the conclusion of the project. The price for the project was great value especially considering the quality of the craftsmanship and their thorough attention to detail. We are very happy with the finished product and were pleased with how professional and tidy they were during the process. We plan to use Windows, Doors and More for our future renovations.

Healthy Home Restoration

Healthy Home Restoration sealed my crawlspace and cellar, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dennis and Ruth **** at HHR are knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. Their jobsite manager, Jiovanni, and his work crew are skilled and did a very thorough job. I had horrific mold and dust problems in my crawlspace which I tried to address myself with ventilation, a dehumidifier, and outdoor drains, but my results were ineffective at best. During moderate to heavy rains, our cellar would have flooded if not for the heroic efforts of my aging sump pump, and the crawlspace would become a muddy pit from water leaking in through the foundation. The living areas in the house would smell musty for days after. Dennis assessed the problem, and I opted for almost every service on their list (see below). The four workers put in eight solid days of hand scrubbing, digging, and nailing with fantastic results. All the areas under the house are now clean, dry, and bug free. I can now store stuff in my cellar and crawlspace. I also bought the best air purifier I could find for our living space, and our measured indoor air quality is now excellent compared to the previous very poor rating. The work was not cheap, but I'm very pleased with the results. I have no affiliation with HHR other than as a satisfied customer: [*** Link removed ***] HHR services purchased: remove debris remove existing vapor barrier remove existing insulation hand scrub mold from all wood surfaces apply antimicrobial to wood seal exterior wall gaps with mortar seal penetrations in subfloor with expanding foam install french drain inside foundation wall to drain into sump install sub slab drain in cellar to drain into sump frame wall to isolate porch space from crawlspace block foundation vents install seal liner for floors, walls, and piers install blower under liner, ventilate to outside install dehumidifier with condensate pump to drain into sump new sump pump w/ battery back up drainage board on all walls in cellar insulation on all crawlspace walls replace all 6" flexible duct sister floor joists damaged by mold and fungus add screw jacks and support beam to support floor

Raleigh Waterproofing Inc

Jim scheduled his team to come out and complete repairs as necessary. He introduced me to his team and made sure we all were on the same page. The team completed the work efficiently and cleanly in our mostly finished basement. They didn't leave dirt or anything behind. When the sewer pipe out by the street began to leak (likely from an old builder damage crack), Jim helped me locate a plumber that could be on site the same day. Jim really went above and beyond to help me. The following day, Jim and his team returned to confirm that all their work was intact post-plumber work, and refilled the dug out area as promised. I could not be more satisfied with the work and the help from Raleigh Waterproofing.

Lindsley Waterproofing
5.0
I cannot say enough good things about this company. From initial contact through completion of the job, they were professional, responsive, efficient and well-informed. Everyone from Jim Lindsley himself, to the office staff, to the site crew seemed to know exactly what was going on and could either answer our many questions, or get the answers for us. They clearly communicate well at this company. Jim came out, listened to our issues, and spent a lot of time walking around our property. He is very knowledgeable, very good at describing the whys of what should be done, very logical, and just plain nice. We received his written proposal a few days after the site visit. It was incredibly thorough and very clear from the overhead views of the plan what was to take place and where. It came in price-wise exactly where we figured it would come in. We asked for a couple of small changes and the revised proposal / plan was submitted within a day. This was a large job … actually two jobs done simultaneously. Job A – Damp carpet and lower wall in our finished basement on a corner of the house where a lot of water pools after heavy rain. Job involved trenching around the corner of the house, installing a waterproofing membrane, cushion board and sealant. It also involved trenching the side yard and installing two small surface drains at low points near the house and laying/burying pipes to drain the water away from the foundation. This job involved trenching under/over gas, power, phone, cable, irrigation lines, drip systems and landscape lights. Job B – We get an excessive amount of water run-off across our back yard, side driveway and the other side yard whenever there’s heavy rain. When I say “excessive”, I mean it’s a river of red clay water that takes out our back yard and dumps river rock (from a completely inadequate existing French drain) and red water across our driveway. Jim’s solution was to install brick/concrete grated storm drains at the two strategic points in our backyard where the bulk of the water enters our property. The entire back yard was trenched and 8” pipes buried. A portion of the driveway had to be saw cut and trenched, and a portion of the side yard was also trenched for the drainage pipes. Jim had a large crew of 9 people working on this job simultaneously. They were great. They successfully navigated the utility minefield with no problem. They were able to trench with little damage to plants and shrubs. They meticulously replaced everything … plants, a couple of deck steps that had to be removed, river rock from the original inadequate French drain … and they cleaned up everything, washing off the deck, driveway, walkway, etc. To top it off, they were actually done earlier than expected. We haven’t had a big rain yet to test the work but I will post an update when we do. In the meantime, if you have waterproofing needs, call this company. They are terrific!
