Greg explained the features of various sash replacement options, then supplied and installed the sashes. The installation pricing was very reasonable, roughly $100 per window.

Patio door unit did not arrive from manufacturer in time for scheduled installation. Installation was rescheduled, but door was still in transit. When door arrived it was rushed to site. Installation took longer than anticipated, but the result was good. Interior window install was to replace the glass unit in a window frame.

We visited their showroom where we met and talked to Chris about the options. Subsequently, Chris visited our home to take measurements of window spaces to determine what needed to be done to install replacements and to send us an accurate quote for the work. After we accepted the offer, John, the owner, returned with Chris to take final measurements and determine the work the installer must do for a proper replacement fit. (Chris' measurements were correct). On scheduled, Sam, the installer and his assistant completed the removal and replacement installation in one day. After the work was done, Chris came out to inspect the work and adjust window cranks for proper movement. All the contacts were cordial, professional and efficient.

The installers were on time and professional. They cleaned up afterward and even replaced two old window sills free of charge. The windows look great and the price was outstanding. Very happy with the service and installation.

Darin Purcell came to our house twice before the installation to make sure the window sizes were correct. A difficult installation (old window sashes were nailed in place) went smoothly, and the replacement sashes look great.

The installation went smoothly and the windows are great, although the company insisted on charging us for a lead-free installation which the installers deemed unnecessary and did not perform.

Recent Review: For the roofing project, Teo's crew showed up on time, and worked long hard hours in the warm weather. The job included removing and hauling away of two layers of shingles, dry rot inspection, replacement of up to 3 8x4 plywood panels (extra panel a at additional cost), installing #30 synthetic underlayment, and installation of laminate shingles. Additional plywood panels would be installed at a cost of $38 each, which included labor, but our roof was in such bad shape and needed so many panels that Teo gave us a break on the cost. There were also some beams that ended up being replaced, so needless to say the job took a full four days, which meant that it was pretty noise inside the house for those four days - not a complaint, just saying in case you haven't been re- roofed in a while. Anyway they did a great job, the roof looks great, and we were so pleased we hired them to repaint out house. I arranged the painting of the house, and about a week beforehand one of the guys showed up about 5 pm to pressure wash the house, as they wanted it to dry for 2 or 3 days before being painted. Then a few days later, he showed up one evening to do the caulking around the doors and windows, etc. that was Wednesday, and on Saturday morning the crew showed up at 7:30 am to start the actual painting. It took a couple of hours for them to prep the house, including scraping the peeling paint and covering the windows and doors, and then the painting started. Actually a crew of about 4 or 5 showed up and started painting front and back, and then there were 1 or 2 guys working on the trim after the house was painted. After starting at 7:30 pm, the job was finished at 5:30 pm. We were amazed, and the house looks fantastic - they all did a great job. Would we hire them again - definitely YES. OK - now my (minor) complaints. They initially evaluated the job and we were told they would need 12 gallons of paint. Later in the week, the painters told us they would need 15 gallons of paint, so had to run back to the paint store for another 3 gallons, which meant another $100 expense - needless to say not to happy, but nevertheless couldn't have them run out of paint. After the job was done, they did a great job of cleaning up, but then I found two large garbage bags sitting in my front yard. I asked what are these and he said the garbage they picked up from around the house. Actually it turned out to be the plastic used to cover the doors and windows, the empty paint cans, and other assorted trash, such as the empty potatoe chip bags from when the guys took a lunch break in the yard. All in all, didn't feel disposal of these items should be my responsibility (well maybe the paint cans), but since I paid $2400 for their labor and equipment use, felt they should have been hauled away rather than left in my front yard. However, overall, they did a great job and I will most certainly use them in the future.

Recent Review: Had experienced extensive leaking during a recent wind/rain storm. They arrived as soon as possible (lots of calls) within 2 days of my call. Inspected attic space and likely source of leaks. Determined problem with clerestory windows as suspected and removed and reinstalled the windows with proper sealant, membranes and proper orientation (one window had been installed upside down when replaced last year by another vendor and wasn't draining the frame). They minimized damage to siding though they had warned they might have to remove siding around the windows. Problem resolved. Work was performed professionally and quickly.

Recent Review: The estimate was reasonable and less expensive than some others. One new window had a minor flaw that we noted upon installation and the company quickly replaced it with a new flawless window with no hassle and awaited payment until the replacement was satisfactorily installed. The window problem was one with the manufacturer and is no reflection on the installer. Highly recommend this firm.

Recent Review: We bought a small mid-century modern house that badly needed some updates, and we had some definite ideas about what we wanted to do, but my talents, time, and tools are limited. The kitchen was first on the list, but we had a lot of ideas about other areas of the house, too. We knew we needed professional help, but we wanted to find someone that could help us translate our ideas into reality under our limited budget. From my first call to Alex Freddi Construction, I was pretty sure we had found our professional. Alex came to the house promptly and walked through it with me as I explained my ideas for the kitchen and everything else. He patiently listened to everything I said, and made helpful comments that were clearly based on experience when I talked about removing walls, adding recessed lights, and installing new windows. All of my ideas were met with a "can do" response, but tempered with comments about the reality of doing so. For example, I mentioned that we were considering a "wet room" concept for one of the bathrooms i.e. where the entire floor would be sloped to a central drain. Alex said that this would certainly be possible, and then described in detail what structural changes would have to be made to implement this idea. His comments were non-judgmental, but they helped me decide to nix this idea. Within a day after the tour, Alex provided me with a detailed estimate of the work we discussed. He also assured me that they would work with me if I wanted to do some of the work such as deconstruction or anything else. Alex and Mike S. showed up promptly on the day we were to begin. Mike was along on some previous visits while we were estimating, and would be the person doing most of the actual work. Great progress happened the first day, and it continued throughout the project. Mike was a great communicator, and we addressed issues as they came up. Some of our ideas required some clever workarounds, and Mike was very good at implementing them. For example, we needed to hide our small sized washer and dryer inside cabinets that looked like the rest of the kitchen cabinets (laundry is in the kitchen area). IKEA does not make cabinets for this purpose, and Mike had to figure out everything from positioning the water inlets to how to make the units accessible for maintenance while still hiding them inside the cabinets. This hidden laundry area was one of the great successes of the project. Mike also never forgot our decisions, and if any issue arose, Mike was quick to call and explain the options so that I could make a decision on how to proceed. When the old kitchen wall insulation was revealed, Mike let me decide whether or not to replace it (we did!). We wanted to run the new floor completely under the cabinets (separate contractor), and Mike was helpful in coordinating the cabinet installation with the floor installation. There were no surprises on the final bill. All of the work was performed at the agreed upon price, and the additional work I requested was clearly identified. I pointed out a discrepancy about a window that we decided not to replace during the project, and Alex was quick to make the adjustment. Overall, the project concluded well, and the quality of Mike's work was outstanding.

Recent Review: Installation went well. One window was installed had a broken latch; however, a replacement latch was installed about two weeks later. Replacement included a 5 foot by 9 foot picture window and the installers did an excellent job with installation with a three-window set. They were very careful about laying floor protection down to prevent marring the floor while working inside. They were a very efficient and professional crew.
