Mike removed old electric stove, ran a gas line from the basement to the kitchen, and installed gas stove. To install it, he had to move a kitchen cabinet one inch to the left to get the stove to fit. He also removed a small section of tile that was behind the old smooth top electric stove. Very friendly, efficient guy who was a pleasure to work with. His price was almost 50 percent lower than the estimate of a previous bidder. When Mike came to bid on the job I gave him the stove manufacturer's specs, but he took the time to slide the old stove out to measure the space. In doing this he discovered the new stove would not fit without moving one cabinet. There was an addition cost of $224 for the electrician to replace a 220 volt outlet with a 120 volt one. That was billed separately by the electrician. Mike and a helper arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently and made sure three other disconnected gas appliances were working before he left.

I called these guys on Monday, because my stove had shorted out and was not working at all. They came on Tuesday -- showed up on time. The repair person fixed the stove in about 30 minutes and charged me the minimum of $75 for the call. He didn't need any parts to fix it. The problem was a faulty light that I never use, so he just bypassed it in the circuit. The stove is probably close to 40 years old and I wasn't sure it was fixable, but no problem for this guy. Since I didn't want to replace it, I was very pleased with the result. It's working just fine again.

The price was right, they were very careful not to scratch our wood floor. They had to go down into the crawlspace to do it, which you can imagine how yucky that was! Everything was right, I will definitely use them for any other plumbing issue that comes up in the future.

Entire experience with "Doctor Ray" was excellent. He is very professional and personable. I will not hesitate to call him for any appliance repair I need in the future and I highly recommend him. He not only replaced the damaged part but also provided some ideas on how to prevent it from happening in the future.

Glen called to say he could arrive early and we were glad to have him do so. He took off the old ceramic top and replaced with the new one we'd ordered from the manufacturer. It took about 30 minutes or so to do and he test the burners to make sure all was functioning. We will dispose of the old top at a local recyclers. The work was quick and efficient and professional. We have our stove top back only 4 days after the "accident" that cracked it. Appliance Guys was able to schedule just a day or two out from delivery of the new top, which was very quick.

Jim Allen was prompt and efficient in installing our new Jenn-Air cooktop. The cooktop works great and they were very careful in installing the ducting to make sure that I kept the greatest amount of storage available in the lower part of my island (where the cooktop is installed).

SPENCER'S APPLIANCES

I made the appointment with polite office staff, and they were able to fit me in 4 days out. They told me that the service person would arrive on that day between 1 and 2 PM. Todd arrived at 1:00 on the dot. He was polite, friendly, and a good listener. I explained the problem (on our 14 year old range, one large burner had gone up in flames and partially melted, while the other large burner had not worked in years). I also mentioned that our budget was pretty stretched. I told him that, before he came, I had tried plugging the burner element from the non-working one into the receptacle where the flameout had happened, but there had been a lot of smoke, so I'd quickly turned it off. He tactfully suggested that the burner, having been unused for so long, might have some grease buildup. As I cleaned the burner, Todd checked the receptacle for the long-time nonfunctional burner and found that the problem there was the switch, not the receptacle itself. He let me know what the price for the switch would be, and the price for another element. Although the prices quoted seemed fair, we are in a tight financial spot, so I let him know that I could live with having just one of the 2 large burners functioning. (After all, I'd been doing that for some time!) Todd plugged the cleaned burner from the non-functioning back spot into the front one with the intact switch. After a bit of smoke, it tested out fine, and he explained the process as he went. He told me that if we decided to replace the other burner in the following 30 days that he would come back and do it without another trip charge. I feel that I was treated with honesty and respect. In fact, this was one of the most pleasant contacts I have ever had with any service person. We intend to do business with Spencer's again in the future.

I called and left a message. Brian called me back right away and was friendly and professional. We scheduled an appointment and John showed up on time, took care of our problem, scheduled an additional appointment for after he got some parts. John called again the day before the next appointment to confirm and set a time. Showed up on time, fixed the problem and gave us a reccomendation for a new dishwasher that would save us money! Great company, ethical, professional and a great value.

I had verified 240 volts input and good continuity and resistance for the baking and broiling elements and the temperature sensor by myself prior to Manny's visit. He took my electrical diagnostics at face value and did not do any electrical diagnostic tests himself but just found the decal showing the model number of the stove and checked prices for new controller board and quoted me about $400 for parts and $400 for labor and recommended just replacing the entire stove. I asked him to do diagnostics but he said he wouldn't do them as it usually is a bad controller based upon my diagnostics. This all cost me $85 for a quote that I could look up myself. And $800s for the controller board replacement parts and labor was excessive. Sears quotes $188 for a range controller with clock. I really wanted someone who would do diagnostics and find out exactly what needed to be fixed. And then tell me how much it would cost.

He was really great because he was really fast and he didn’t charge me one penny extra for the part. Often, service people really get you on parts but he charged me exactly what it was. He called me back from the parts store to make sure we were getting the right part. He brought it right over and put it in. He was very trustworthy. If I get broken down appliances, I’ll call him again.

Recent Review: GREAT. John was prompt, efficient, thorough, and professional. He took care to protect my hardwood floors, explained the workings of the downdraft system, set the clock, etc, and showed me how to operate the new stove. It was obvious that he cared not only about the quality of his work, but that I was prepared to use my new appliance, as well! Oh, that every company could have employees that are as committed to quality as this employee!

Recent Review: All Around Appliance is my new go-to for appliance repair. Libor (the owner) helped fix a very difficult problem to fix for our Thermador oven/microwave. He was out here within a week for diagnostics and knew what the problem was fairly quickly. While here, we were able to get his opinion on refrigerators, as our current one isn't going to be around much longer. He might have just saved us several more future repairs with his recommendations! Libor is a straight-shooter and is very ethical and honest. His repair was literally to the penny of the quote! And you will quickly know you are being treated fairly in the process.

Recent Review: I had purchased a replacement stove top from Home Depot and needed an installer. Found this firm and booked an appointment. The called to offer an earlier date and that helped. Mike showed up within window and from then on it was a flurry of activity. More complex than I thought it would be but Mike had it covered on all fronts. Tools at the ready, obvious expertise. I was really impressed. In and out in 45 minutes, old equipment removed no charge, everything clean. He will be my go to guy for anything on his menu of skills. Thanks.
