I called and got an appointment a week out. Dan arrived about 30 minutes later than expected, but he got the job done quickly and was very pleasant. Explained what he was going to do. Told us leak was certainly caused by lack of caulk (a big relief!). I guess we looked old enough, he also gave us the senior discount without asking.

In speaking with another plumber, I was lead to believe that the entire valve needed to be replaced. When Pipeline showed up, they said a few cheap part would fix the problem. For $13 in parts and one hour labor, the problem was quickly fixed. Great service. Trustworthy company.

Plumbing was fine, drywall removed was not aligned to studs and did not cut drywall so that it could be saved and reused. Cost to fix drywall will be more than cost of plumber.

Brett unclogged a drain that required a professional-grade augur. Since Plumbers Inc requires a 1 hr min it would have been a somewhat pricey quick job but I asked him to improve a bad shower valve and he got that done within the hour too. I've dealt with a lot of contractors, yet finding a good, honest, easygoing, competent, reasonably priced plumber had been elusive till I came upon this outfit in Angieslist. It speaks well of a boss to hire people like Brett. Update 2/5/2019: After hiring Plumbers Inc for several jobs over 8 years, including a nearly complete repiping, a recent job was flawed. The owner promptly acknowledged the errors, got it fixed, and made a very fair adjustment to the bill. Sometimes knowing how a firm responds to a problem is as important as anything else to be considered in whom to hire.

Mike was very accomodating, willing to do a very small job. I had been busy several times, and we finally connected yesterday. Mike was professional, knew exactly what to do, and even thought of things I wouldn't have, i.e., turning off the power to the hot water tank while the house water was turned off. The shower valve no longer leaks, and I'll for sure be using Mike for other jobs as they come up here. I'd recommend him very highly.

I don’t usually bother to leave reviews, but I guess this deserves one. November 4th I tried calling but got a voicemail asking to fill out a form on the website for a quote. I filled out the form with all the details but learned after several emails that they don't give quotes online nor provide hourly pricing. ...6 separate contact events and 4 days later I finally had an appointment scheduled with these guys, where they’re going to charge me $30 for an estimate on the cost to replace a leaking shower valve cartridge, in about two and half weeks... So here we are two and a half weeks later, on the day before Thanksgiving and I’m at home from work for this 8am appointment, and they no-show no-call me. I call them and leave a voicemail “where are you”? I email them “where are you”... I get this trite email response “oh you didn’t re-confirm the appointment, but we can schedule a new one for you.” No apology, no phone call, just another inane email. Are you serious? It took multiple emails took book this appointment and then you wanted me to infer that you further wanted me to again confirm the appointment I requested?? - Yes I got your later text and call now that I've made it clear I'm already upset, why didn't you just call me from the start with the contact information I provided on your requested form? I see all the other reviews and hope this is just some outlier experience, because most of us just don’t have time for this kind of faffery and lack of customer service. I'll be finding a plumber who can provide an estimate, a scheduled visit date, and show up on time, without the absurd email back and forth and total waste of my time.

Excellent. After turning the water back on. Checked ALL the taps and ran until flowing clean and debris free again. Took pictures of the shower valve parts in case it DOES need to be replaced in the future.

The plumbers were courteous, prompt, clean, and professional. They made sure I knew what the cost would be before the work started, and there were no surprises after the fact. They volunteered their time to answer my questions about my water heater, which were totally unrelated to the reason for their visit. They even sent me a text message before arriving so I'd know when to expect them! They're so busy this month that I had to endure a week of cold showers waiting for an appointment time, but it was totally worth the wait for such quality work.

Originally called Mark to repair leaking shower valve in master bath. When he arrived, I asked if he could also look into half bath where toilet was leaking from the base. He said he would start with toilet first since it could cause warping of hardwoods, and get to the shower if he had time. He had only scheduled enough time for shower and would have to leave for another job to repair burst pipes (first major freeze and most all plumbers were busy fixing several burst pipes!). Mark fixed the toilet then started on shower. He removed the broken part which also had chunks of debris in it, then flushed the pipes. The shutoff valve outside was frozen shut, so that took additional time. He had to leave to attend to other job, but promised to get shower part and return later that night. After a long day, Mark returned as promised around 7pm and repaired shower. Has been a month and no further issues!! I would definitely call MD Plumbing again for further issues!

We'd hired another handyman to come in and help us out when we discovered mold on our bathroom wall. The repair was beyond the scope of the handyman's skills and the attempted fix was absolutely not a fix at all. In a panic, as others have said, we called several plumbing companies including one we've called before and all were too busy to help despite having running water leaking into our bathroom and a wall that had been torn out and needed to be sealed up before cold weather and more damage set in. Shawn walked through a few quick fixes to hold off a bigger catastrophe before he was able to make it out later the same day. He was courteous, professional, muttered under his breath about previous (failed) repairs (and deserved the right to do so!), and quickly handled the problem we'd been attempting to have repaired for weeks. I have no doubt the repair will hold and won't give us problems in the future. If we need a repair in the future, I have no problem giving Streamline Plumbing a call (and would even be willing to wait a few hours or more to make it happen).

The guy was really good and he was quick. They are an old company and with a whole lot of workers. They stand behind their work. They don't charge a lot more. His charge was in line with the estimate. He knew how long it would take. The work turned out to be great. He had to do a bunch of welding in the wood. He didn't burn it. He was really polite and knowledgeable.

3 Mountains Plumbing
5.0
Having used 3 Mountains once before in an emergency situation - no hot water - and receiving such excellent service, we were confident in choosing them once again. Brent came to offer a bid on the work we wanted done; he was right on time, courteous and professional. We had fixtures in two showers to replace (going from brass to brushed nickel). Since we originally wanted all new fixtures, one required cutting into the wall of the master walk-in closet and the other into the adjacent bedroom wall in order to replace the valves. The master wasn't a concern as the hole in the wall could be covered by a plate and hidden by clothing but the bedroom wall was going to be more of an issue as it would be on a partially exposed wall; a drywall patch would be necessary. So Brent offered an alternative, less costly solution - replace the master fixtures and valve and then simply replace the existing brass fixtures ourselves in the main bath with the same kind in nickel, thereby negating the valve replacement. That saved us $600. When I asked about changing all the brass fittings on our toilet (original with the house in 1994), which would be complicated and costly, Brent suggested replacing it with a new one. Ok, so the $600 we saved on the second shower, we spent on an unexpected new toilet. Now we have a much more efficient toilet (that comfortably sits higher than the older one) and we are quite pleased with the whole experience.

Recent Review: We had a home warranty that came with our home when we purchased it, and our water heater pilot light was going out frequently. The home warranty company had already sent several contractors out to examine it, all without success. When they sent Tim, he was able to diagnose the problem quickly, and worked with the home warranty company to get our water heater replaced. He did a great job on the installation (which was complicated by the fact that he had to source a water heater with very specific dimensions in order to fit into our basement), and we have had no problems in the year since the installation. We also had Tim unclog a clogged gutter drain for us later that same year, and he was in and out in a matter of < 30 minutes, and charged us a very fair price.

Recent Review: Due to the very small front porch area, I was concerned about the final result, which was to meet ADA specifications. Prior to contacting them, I had tried to take notice of other ramp installations in this city, and was surprised to see many that were terrible in appearance and questionable in quality. GFM came up with a clever design that not only met ADA specs, it was also a great looking solution, blending in easily with the house design and landscaping. The finished project exceeded my expectations, not only in appearance, but strength and quality of construction, with good attention to detail. George and Frank showed up at the scheduled time and worked straight thru the day to be able to finish the project before dark. It would be great if all contractors had their job performance attitude. I am happy to see a contractor that has a good understanding of ADA specs and handicapped requirements. In my experience, there are many contractors that have no idea what you are talking about, but GFM does.

Recent Review: Very courteous and prompt. The toilets were an easy fix. The shower valve was replaced but I later discovered the "stop" for the hot water temperature had not been reinstalled. Left a message but no reply. While he was here, I discovered the hot water heater was leaking. He reommended other companies that could do the work and that I called and was able to get someone to come and replace the hot water heater that day. His estimate of the cost was accurate. The plumber was nice and knowledgeable.

Recent Review: Marvin arrived promptly and set to his task immediately. I had already removed the backerboard, so he had easy access to replace the valve. I provided the valve, as it was part of the set we purchased for the remodel. He took about three hours to complete the job, including replacing the faucet pipe with a threaded fitting at no extra charge. Marvin is friendly and professional and would definitely hire him again.

Recent Review: Cornel went out of his way to provide prompt response, coming a day earlier than planned after calling to confirm. The problem was easily addressed with his knowledge and experience even though the valve is 50 years old. It felt good to work directly with a self-employed plumber. I will call him next time work is needed.
