Craig was the best contractor we have worked with, and we have worked with many. He is always on time, he returns calls immediately. His prices are very fair and he pays attention to detail. I would recommend him highly.

NEW VISION INTERIORS, LLC

What started with a small drywall project turned into an amazing relationship with a contractor we've turned to for project after project, year after year. Steve does the majority of the work himself, which leads to consistent top-notch work product and unsurpassed customer service. Unlike many other contractors, you will never have to chase him down and beg him to come back and work on your half-finished project. When Steve takes a job, he works that job until it's done. Additionally, Steve is a family man and it shows. Never before have I had a contractor offer to stop cutting tile to help my wife bring in groceries from the car. He cares about people and their projects. We cannot imagine hiring another contractor for any work on our house. May 2014 - We just bought our new ranch home and it needed a lot of work. After our recommended drywall contractor was too busy, we received a referral to Steve of New Vision Interiors. Steve was also busy, but he was willing to come work on our house after 5 pm for several nights to squeeze in drywall work that we needed in order for us to be able to move into our new home. The painters we had hired decided to start using Steve instead of the prior "recommended" drywaller because they were so impressed with the quality of his work. Steve's work was fantastic, as he was able to seamlessly match texture to existing drywall, which is challenging to do. Ask Steve about "quiet rock" drywall and "rock wool" insulation for sound deadening - it was a great improvement to our house. As we were getting to know Steve through this project, he mentioned he did kitchen and bath remodels. Boy did our house need it! October 2014 - We fired our smooth-talking kitchen remodeler/designer and hired Steve for a major kitchen remodel. We removed a drop ceiling (1980s, you were so cruel!) and changed the kitchen layout. The kitchen is literally in the middle of the house and the ultimate gathering place so it was important to us to get everything exactly right. Steve worked with us on design options and was extremely easy to collaborate with. We knew exactly what we wanted in some areas, and we had no clue what we wanted in other areas of the kitchen remodel. Everything was custom and Steve patiently walked us through the entire process. He is excellent about always being in communication with us. On the kitchen remodel, Steve built a walk-in pantry where none existed, put in cherry cabinets (he uses a great subcontractor for this work), granite, wood flooring, new lighting, Jenn-Aire appliances (the induction cooktop is awesome), downdraft, a new island with prep sink, and painstakingly cut glass tile backsplash. We receive compliments from literally everyone who sees our kitchen, which you can't help but see the moment you walk in our house. We couldn’t have been more pleased and we knew that the next time we needed a contractor, we would be calling on Steve. July 2015 - I decided to replace the ancient vinyl flooring in a bathroom and discovered the toilet had been leaking slowly for quite some time. The damage ran across the bathroom from under the vanity to the tub. This was not a planned remodel, all I wanted to do was replace the floor! However, we decided that since we had to pull so much out of the bathroom to repair the damage, we would just go ahead and do a full remodel - the bathroom needed it anyway. So we called Steve. He came over to the house within days to review the project. He fit us into his schedule and got to work, starting with repairing the damaged subfloor. Once that was done, he again helped with design. For example, we had the option of putting in a standard length tub or a larger tub to fill the bigger space we had. We spent the relatively few extra dollars and ended up with a much more pleasing look, with the tub fully centered in the room and tile on all three walls that looks "right." Steve isn’t pushy and doesn’t try to upsell products just to make more money or prolong a project; instead, he makes design suggestions and will recommend design tweaks where it makes sense. We put in custom cabinets (that my wife actually designed), new lighting, replaced that darn leaky toilet, and added crown moulding. Once again, we are very impressed with the quality of Steve’s work. February 2016 - We are currently in the middle of a laundry/mudroom and bathroom remodel with Steve. We decided what we wanted to do, then called Steve to simply quote the work and tell us when he could start. We no longer bother with getting additional bids from other contractors, because we don't want anyone else doing the work AND we know Steve does his work at very reasonable prices. For this project, Steve relocated a wall for us - doubling the size of our laundry/mudroom and decreasing the size of a guest bathroom. Steve did the demo, more subfloor work, rough carpentry, and worked very hard to create a layout of a custom size/dimension neo-angle corner shower. We will have the same cabinet maker put in the cabinets, including bench seating and beadboard in the mudroom. Like the previous work, this project is coming together beautifully and we are so excited to have a beautiful and highly functional new laundry/mudroom and guest bathroom. Upcoming projects - Steve will be the first and only person we call for upcoming projects. We plan to explore his creativity with a massive master bedroom addition. You will be extremely happy if you have Steve work on your project, so I highly recommend you give him a call.

Kitchen Concepts NW LLC

I chose Kitchen Concepts because of the good reviews on Angie’s List and because Dave Warren was able to show through computer assisted drawings what the kitchen would look like under different scenarios given the existing dimensions of the kitchen. Dave provided the cabinets and countertops but the remodel work was performed by Ed and his crew, who Dave has associated with for years. The kitchen turned out well, with new flooring, appliances, cabinets with soft close hinges, and beautiful quartz countertops. It was a huge improvement for a kitchen that had not been remodeled in 20 years. Based on the good results on the kitchen, I contracted them to remodel the rest of the house, which meant remodeling three bathrooms, updating a living room, five bedrooms, a family room, entryway, stairway, and hall. It also involved a structural change in moving the entryway closet to an otherwise unused space under the stairwell, freeing up space to enlarge the master bathroom. There is new flooring in all areas of the house. The bathrooms and all parts of the house look beautiful. I especially like the new doors, door frames, and molding throughout the house. Working with Dave and Ed was great, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs remodeling work.

I don’t know what we would have done without Darcy and IDS Remodeling. In early 2013 we hired a contractor who had previously done the external renovation of our home to do a complete interior renovation. Within about four months it became apparent that this contractor did not have the skills needed to complete this renovation. Not only was he two months behind on a project he estimated would take four months, but phases of the project were being continually revised, the contractor made significant design decisions without consulting us, and the quality of the workmanship was extremely poor. A new custom kitchen was installed with such major errors that it had to be completely demolished. A completely new trim package and a new set of oak stairs had to be pulled and replaced. Our remodel was a complete disaster. We fired this contractor and, after interviewing five contractors experienced in interior renovation work, we selected IDS Remodeling as the replacement contractor on the job. Darcy and his son, Aaron, came in with a very comprehensive plan to complete the renovation of our home in an acceptable time frame and at a reasonable cost. Their plan not only encompassed the remediation of the shoddy work performed by the initial contractor, but included many design suggestions that improved the quality of the renovation. Above all, the one thing that impressed us the most was the fact that Darcy and Aaron treated this project as if it were the renovation of their own homes. Without a doubt we would strongly recommend IDS Renovation if you are considering the renovation of your home. We would not hesitate to call them again for any future renovation work we had in mind.

American Construction and Remodeling did a wonderful job with my bathroom remodel. Dennis, the owner, was very communicative from start to finish. He was prompt and on time to inspect the bathroom, provide a quote, and get the job started and finished. The crew was very respectful, positive, and made a point to keep things tidy each day. Whenever an aesthetic decision was needed, the crew made sure I was involved. It was clear that my happiness with the end product was of importance to them, which I greatly appreciated. We have been using our bathroom for a little over a month now and everything works great!

American Construction & Remodeling did a wonderful job with my bathroom. The owner, Dennis, was very communicative throughout the entire process. Dennis and his team made sure to consult with me on aesthetic decisions and made it known that my happiness with the project was a high priority for them. At the end of each day, they were happy to give me a rundown of what had been done that day and what the plan was for the next day. The project took a bit longer than originally projected, however, I am very pleased with the quality of the job as well as the positivity and respectfulness of the crew.

ALEX FREDDI CONSTRUCTION LLC
5.0
We just wrapped up our first major remodel — updating a hastily-converted bedroom-turned-bathroom. Alex Freddi and his team did a wonderful job. Our project manager, Alex, made great recommendations for placements of things, and was able to roll with the punches when a pipe placement caused an issue and a new wall needed to be built for the shower. We also appreciated that when we were sometimes at a loss when questions came up, he was able to understand and advise when necessary. Our tiler (also named Alex - a third Alex) was amazing and made it work when it looked like we might be short on shower tile. When we noticed that a requested outlet had been forgotten (right at the end of the whole project), they instantly fixed the situation and had a great attitude throughout the whole thing. We appreciated everyone's help who worked on various projects — all of them did a great job (including the plumber who was a little confused by our weird Japanese toilet, but got it working perfectly!). This all took place during January-February, so all of us (three adults) had to work from home throughout the whole project, and Alex's team was incredibly accommodating, safe, and gracious. We have a lot of noisy pets, our house is very old and full of fun surprises (and incredibly hard to navigate while holding construction material), and Alex & co. were nothing but understanding. We are so happy with our new bathroom. We can't wait for lockdown to end so we can have a party to show it off. ;) We would definitely use Alex and his team for future projects.

Before retiring and closing my graphic design business, I used to tell my staff that the process of getting to the final product was as important as the final product itself. BSC's work is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. But the process was also very positive. Their crew and subs were all professional, courteous and pleasant to have around. I also appreciated their detailed and precise estimates, their responsiveness regarding change orders and overall management of the process.

Recent Review: This is the second time I have used Creative Tile and Remodel - the first being a kitchen remodel - and they did an excellent job then and they did another excellent job this timeon my bathroom. We had a tub replaced with a walk-in shower with glass barn doors and the finished work is top notch. Norby is fantastic to work with and never got annoyed with my many questions I had about the process. Drywallers were top notch as was Sam the electrician. Tibor’s Subs really do great work and they always cleaned up after themselves. As with any remodel project sometimes the house expected can happen but Tibor ALWAYS will do his best to correct any mistakes or work with you on last minute changes. Bottom line is Tibor and his crew do excellent work, are easy to work with and take pride in and heir work. I highly recommend this company and will not hesitate to use them again in the future. Recent Review: Our bathroom remodel with REF was fantastic and exceeded all of our expectations. His quote was accurate and the work was top notch. Through the design process, Ryan and his team gave us excellent advice and ideas that helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. Construction went very smoothly and Ryan was always available to answer our questions. I would 100% recommend REF Construction and plan to call on them again if we do more projects in the future.

Recent Review: Where to start...I bought my house because it was a great value, in a great location with everything I wanted and needed. Everything except the main bathroom. I won't call it a master bathroom because that would imply space, and some masterful about it. None of that held true. The move was from the East Coast, by car hauling a small utility trailer and 3 dogs. Part of the MUST haves upon arrival was caulk. Yes. Long story short, that mini bathroom has 2 entrances right across from each other with access from hallways. I looked for months for inspiration on how I could possible strip it down and make it a kick *** remodel. In May I sent a few feelers out for local remodel bathroom contractors. Sent pictures of my disaster. Rachel, called me back stat and we talked on the phone about the project. That convo was definitely intriguing enough to follow up with a visit to the showroom. I spent 2 hours there and we had a design. And boy/girl was that a kick *** looking concept. I wanted minimalist, flow, modern with a touch of woodsy. I got just that. Getting through the estimate process was fairly painless since I got a lot of wiggle room to hire my own electrician and door artisan (using reclaimed wood from NW Reclaim), shower rod system and faucets. The work started on time within the time frame I needed. Overall the bathroom was done in 4 weeks. The entire team is great but I want to give a special shout out to Igor, the demo, framing, tile, drywall, man who does 90% of the labor, because he was precise, patient, kind and all around professional. I say kind because I experienced a life ending emergency with my senior dog and he was there, helped, and went right back to his job. Very humble, efficient and hard working. Never left a mess. I love my bathroom and can't wait to match my kitchen next year. Definitely recommending Let's remodel! Couple of comments about the pictures here below. #1: Also part of the initial moving convoy was my dog's shower curtain. Pavel recommended I get glass panels on the side of the shower but I wanted my dog's shower curtain over any design consideration. As part of the shower curtain install, I wanted the rounded double rod so I can attach my towel to the outer row. No point in crowding the already small space with more hardware, am I right? Works great by the way (not shown on pic). So say hello to Gypsy on the curtain (she is the one that passed away - see ref here above). #2: The door frame still needs to be finished (NOT Let's Remodel's responsibility. Pavel installed the door casing, frame and trim from wood I chose and provided. The door frame was all crooked to begin with so Pavel fixed it all. That part of the project should be finished this weekend by Dale from Tonsilvania Designs in Portland, who made the 2 barn doors) #3: I refuse to post the before pictures as my sanity for buying this house might be challenged. That and who wants to remember the creepy ugly version? No one. You are welcome ;-)
