Summary: I do not recommend using NW Home Exteriors. The experience during the quoting process was good. They followed up promptly and checked back with me. They seemed professional. Getting the work done was a different story. They assured me the work could be finished within two weeks. They did not show up the day nor week we had "scheduled" and they did not call me. I called them and rescheduled, they committed to two weeks out. Again they did not show up and did not call. Again I called and rescheduled another two weeks out. This happened a third time, so I sent the contractors board the 30 day notice required to file a complaint. That got their attention. They finally showed up, unscheduled and unannounced. It was now too late in the season to schedule another company to replace the shingles, so I agreed to let them proceed with the work. After the shingle tear-off, they showed me what plywood would need to be replaced, and what parts of the roof did not need new plywood. I approved replacing the bad plywood. The next day, after they had finished, I discovered they had replaced plywood that they had showed me was in good shape and did not need to be replaced. Evidently, they forgot I had inspected the roof with them. I refused to pay them for the unneeded plywood. During the quote, we had agreed they would save the gutter guards and replace them after the work was complete. I reminded them of this when they finally began the work. After they had finished, I found the gutter guards in their trash bin, and pulled out the ones I could get to. They claimed the gutter guards were falling apart and not usable. I was able to show them this was not true. The gutter guards I was able to retrieve, other than minor damage from being thrown in the trash, were fine. They promised to buy new ones and install them, but they did not.
