1. A tech came to our home on 5/30 to repair our HVAC system after the water pan filled and the safety tripped shutting off our entire HVAC. At the time of repair, we also had routine maintenance done on our AC. We paid in full that day for both services. Problem: Our system clearly has a timer that will get off track when the system shuts down. The tech failed to reset the clock on the timer when he completed the original repair on 5/30. Even though he knew the system had obviously been shut down for a period of time. 2. On 6/14 the tech returned to reset the timer's clock on our system. However, he stated he "did not know how to set this particular timer" and he would "need to have the office print the instruction manual for him." We are unclear why he did not use his smart phone to download the instruction manual right then and there. After all, we took time off work to meet him. 3. On 6/20 the tech returned with the instruction manual for a second attempt at resetting the clock on the timer. Outrageously, we were charged an additional $109 for this resetting of the clock timer. The timer should have been reset/restarted at step #1 (above), at the time of the original repair, and at no additional charge for having to return due to the tech's own lack of knowledge. 4. I called Comfort Solutions numerous times to try and work out the wrongful additional charge. They kept saying they had to get permission from the owner to credit our account. I requested they have the owner call me directly. I stayed on top of my communication for a period of about one week. Comfort Solutions promised to follow up, but they did not. Comfort Solutions does not care about customer satisfaction. We were inconvenienced numerous times having to meet the tech to come back and fix his own error. And when the tech did not have the proper knowledge, WE were the ones charged. We have now switched to another local company and we are VERY impressed with the professionalism, expertise and most importantly, technical knowledge, of the other company. We will never use Comfort Solutions again. I will be avoiding this company.
