Went as well as it could have gone. Q was right on time for the estimate. When he checked one of the toilets as part of the estimate, he took out a Gerber-type tool, shaved off a portion of the toilet handle and fixed the problem on the spot, free-of-charge. During the day of repairs, he was flexible, cheerful, efficient and totally professional. He has my highest recommendation, not only for handyman-type repairs but for larger remodeling projects as well.

The color of our countertops isn't made any more, so Pedro had to take a portion of our back splash and create a material he could repair the cracks with. You can't even see where the repairs have been made! And he discovered a crack we hadn't even noticed, and will be coming back out and fixing that one too!

You get what you pay for at good quality but with no extra help. You will need to do all the plumbing and prep yourself as well as any drywall or cabinet repair. In our case after installing the counter we had about an inch of torn drywall above the new back splash. It cost me about 400 dollars to fix. They had dropped the whole counter an inch when they put in the new plywood to mount the counter on thus resulting in the inch of drywall repair. We had tile previously which is a mess to tear out (they removed it for us for $400). At the end of the day even with the repairs they were cheaper than Ikea and our counters are gorgeous. Just understand that you will need to do a little work yourself or pay a plumber, etc to help.

It went well. They were responsive to our call and scheduled fairly quickly. It took about 4 hours of sanding and buffing. The only thing that was unexpected for us was that the luster of the countertops has not completely returned. The scratches are gone and the countertops look fine to anyone who hasn't seen them before, but to us they are noticably different (very dull looking). The service person told us that with time it will look better, but I think we would have been better prepared for this had the initial contact person predicted this would happen. All in all, it was totally worth the fix and much cheaper than replacing the countertops.

Excellent; Matt and crew worked at our rental daily and was in touch with us regularly. He was very good at responding to questions we had and was always responsive. He did a beautiful job transforming our 1940's home into a nice, modern, up-to-date functional home. He stayed within his bid except for a few things that clearly needed repair that we approved of. Matt is very experienced and we enjoyed having him as our contractor for this project. Thank you Matt!!

Vendor answered the telephone on first call. Described repairs and sent him email photos of work to be done, and he came the next day and began repairs. Finished grouting on second day. Very impressive!

It went very well The finished product looks great and they were on time and very professional. They came back very quickly to fix a few marks that were not noticed after the install and fixed it with an apology. They want satisfied customers and that showed through out the process.

The only problem was the oven opening was too small, that was fixed on the spot. Good thing I measured though!

Fantastic!!! I found Skandia Design initially two years ago from Angie's List. I liked the fact that Paul helped his customers with design as well as construction. My first project was to completely gut a bathroom. Paul was there for every step from shopping for fixtures, tile, flooring. He was easily accessible for my questions, concerns. I also can't say enough about what a great assistant he has in Bi Frost. Bil made sure that the details of the project were taken care of. He also was easily available. I was so happy with the bathroom remodel that I hired Skandia to remodel my kitchen this year. Once again, I am more than satisfied with their work. My kitchen is a dream come true! Quality work comes at a cost of course but to me it was worth it. Like my bathroom it was a total take down. Paul's daughter, Meaghan, designed a beautiful and functional kitchen. And Paul was there once again to help me shop for fixtures, tile, paint colors and appliances. I worked closely again with Bil to plan a kitchen to fit my needs including my desire for lighted drawers! I just love working with Bil - he did a great job especially matching my existing crown molding. Paul's other crew members including John, Mark, and his plumbers, electricians, tilers are punctual, professional and quality experts. My most recent project with them is fixing my drainage issue in the basement. With all the rain, my basement was suffering from a cascading waterfall of water! Thank you guys for fixing this!! I highly recommend Skandia Design and would definitely hire them for future projects. They are trustworthy and they stand behind their quality work.

Recent Review: The project went very well over all. We had purchased products from Home Depot, and had Raoul do all the install and finishing on everything. There were a few problems with products received, but Raoul was able to come up with solutions to take care of all of it. He worked on 2 of the bathrooms almost to completion, and then started on the master bath. He installed 3 vanities, 3 countertops, 4 sinks, 4 faucets and 4 light fixtures. He built a frame around 2 of the mirrors, so we were able to keep those. He had to do some wall repair work and painting also. He also removed and installed a new linen closet in the master bath that was extremely large. I am very happy with the results.

Recent Review: The repairman arrived exactly on time and got straight to work. He was able to determine that the repairs would not be as extensive as first thought. The water damage was contained to the back sheetrock and the floor of the bathroom vanity and had not damaged the subflooring beneath the vanity. Luckily, no molds had taken hold of the area. He was fast and efficient. I would definitely have him take care of my future repair needs.

Recent Review: This is the best experience I have ever had working with a contractor. The project was a long one, working on a lot of different areas in two locations. But Fred and Ivan, and their employees, kept the work going at high speed, using the highest quality products with absolutely exceptional workmanship. Their technical knowledge of the siding installation was impressive, and they caught errors in previous work that other companies I interviewed for the job did not see or mention. The prices are fair and reasonable. They are highly ethical, make good on promises, and do beautiful work. I will be using them for any work I have in the future. Thank you Fred and Ivan!

Recent Review: It was a pleasure to work with Randy and his Son on my home project. Very friendly and personable and joy to have in the house. All subcontractors performed excellent work and the whole remodel process went completely smooth. I have heard the remodel horror stories but experienced none of that. Just good quality and loving craftsmanship. I really wanted to bring my kitchen out of the 70's but also retain the 20's bungalow vibe. Refined Restoration made it happen. Randy really listened to my ideas and he had some great ideas too, that I would have never even thought of. We had received bids from two other contractors that were big companies, we chose Refined Restoration because we felt we were getting a more personal experience. We love our new kitchen! Best Contractor in Portland if you have a historic home! *Just a reminder it's Covid so remodel projects take longer than normal (obtaining supplies, how many people can work in the home at a time, etc.) so just be patient it was worth the wait.

Recent Review: Lawrence and his crew were punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and diligent. I was fascinated by how much problem-solving skill it took to uncover the root causes of problems and to devise solutions to them. These guys are knowledgeable and skilled. When they were done with the back part of the house it looked natural -- not as if it had just been repaired and improved. All in all, I am very satisfied. The two projects cost more than I wanted to spend but I got value for the money and I'm glad I did it. I trust these guys and if and when more projects have to be done Sundog is where I will be going.
