Recent Review: I had an HVAC company try to install the flu liner and they were unable and suggested I call a professional chimney expert. I found Black Knight and gave them a call. Over the phone Zach explained the options I had and patiently answered all of my questions. We scheduled him to come out for an inspection. When he and his partner arrived, they checked out the issue with the furnace flu and also did a detailed inspection of the chimney and explained some of our shorter and longer term issues. We agreed on a course of action and Zach provided a detailed estimate for the work to be done. The only trouble I had was that due to the time of year and how busy they are it took a little longer to get the appointment for repairs than I would have liked. However, Kelly who runs the office is extremely helpful and understanding on the phone and was able to get us booked in before winter. When the repairs were eventually made, the work was done with utmost professionalism. I've been very impressed by Zach and his crew for their honesty and attention to detail. Due to the construction of our chimney it was extremely difficult to install the flu liner. Zach and I had discussed this and decided to try anyway. What would normally be a 1hr job took 3 1/2 hours. Instead of throwing in the towel and telling me to go for a more expensive option (like the HVAC guys did), Zach and his crew patiently and carefully installed the liner inch by inch. Everyone I've encountered at Black Knight has been knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I will definitely be using them again to address some longer term issues with my chimney.

Recent Review: We called for an estimate to fix a built- in gas fireplace. Ron, the owner, promptly returned our call and asked information about the problem. Then he gave us suggestions to try to fix the fireplace on our own. He offered to stop by if it didn't work. His suggestions worked!!!! Our fireplace is functional again - no cost was involved.

Recent Review: Our house was built in the 1950s and the fireplace was in need of several repairs. The roof was leaking around the chimney and we had concerns about using it to burn wood. Mr. Fletcher responded quickly to my inquiry and showed up when he promised to inspect the fireplace. We were impressed by the thoroughness of his inspection and his attention to detail. There were many aspects of the fireplace that were not up to code and he was very clear about what needed to be done to remedy that was well as making recommendations about what really didn't have to be done and the positive and negative implications of each repair. He was very knowledgeable and we felt comfortable dealing with him. We received a timely estimate which was broken down to show different options that we could choose as our interest and budget would allow. We accepted the proposal and the work was begun as promised. Mr. Fletcher's communication with us was above and beyond. He provided us with different options for materials to re-face the outside of the fire box and we were able to visit a local dealer to see first hand which type of stone and what color we liked. He will be completing that work soon and we will post a review of the work at that time. We couldn't be happier with the work that Fletchers performed. I have nothing negative to report. They were very professional and I felt completely comfortable allowing them into my home. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs chimney and/or fireplace work done. I'm certain that you won't be disappointed.

Recent Review: I was smelling gas when firing up my gas fireplace. Dave identified and fixed the problem in one visit. My fireplace is no longer emitting gas and is working much more efficiently than before. I would highly recommend him.
