That technician told me that he saw no evidence that the heat exchanger was cracked and that the furnace did not need replacing at this time.

Recent Review: Had a different provider come out and they told me the heat exchanger was bad and I needed to replace the furnace (see review on Max C Smith). BEARER heating and cooling had originally installed the unit prior to us buying the townhouse. I called Mike...who said it was under warranty and he could order and install for $300. He also offered to go and get the heat going in the mean time. When he arrived...he said we didn't need a heat exchanger...just a new thermostat and switch. Since he had already ordered the heat exchanger and the furnace was 18 years old...I still had him install it. So refreshing to find an honest person out there. I will use BEARER moving forward and will share his information and my story with all who will listen! I am a Director for a restaurant chain and will also be using him going forward for any work we need done. If you're looking for someone honest that won't rip you off...call them!!!

Recent Review: . Three years ago my dad had seen an ad about having furnaces inspected. He decided to that company come out and inspect. They told him that the heat exchanger was in bad shape and the entire furnace should be replaced. My two brothers and I decided that we wanted to get other opinions and each had a furnace company come out. I had Gravener come out and Gary looked at the furnace. He did agree that the furnace was a bit old but not that old and it all seemed to be in good order. He looked at the heat exchanger and thought it had been replaced. He took the information with him and took the time to research the furnace and exchanger. He called me a day later to tell me that my dad had made a good choice with the furnace because the company guaranteed the heat exchanger for life. It had been replaced once but it didn't need replaced at this time and if and when it does he can order the part which would be no charge and the only cost would be the labor for installation. I knew that when the furnace did need some servicing that Gravener would only do what needed to be done for a fair price. (And they did)237

Recent Review: I will absolutely have Climate Systems back any time I have a heating or cooling problem. Cody went above and beyond. I told him that the house had been sitting empty for almost a year before we bought it in May, so he took a close look to make sure the furnace was safe to run. He explained that the furnace was approaching the end of its life cycle and gave some tips about keeping it running. I'll be calling them in the spring to service the air conditioner!

Recent Review: The heat exchanger rusted through after 5 years. It was under warrantee - he should have replaced it for free - but instead demanded $1500. This was a Bryant, top of the line furnace back in 2006. Since he installed it, no other installer would touch it. So, instead of getting the FREE heat exchanger from Bryant (they backed their warrantee) Chuck dumped this extremely high labor rate to make me go away. I ended up replacing the whole furnace - Ofcourse by another company. As a foot note - have a carbon dioxide detector install in your home - we realized the rust through problem with the exchanger because of head aches - sleepiness and other symptoms...
