Overall, I was very happy with the quality of work Dan did & would recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor. In fact, I recommended him to my next door neighbor for his gutter repair work!

Certified Home Remodelers Inc

I selected Certified because their price was pretty competitive and owners seemed to know what they were doing. Door , sidelights and surround were installed and I had a few issues where I didn't feel either that they had listened to my instructions (primarily didn't install a keystone above the door that we had agreed to and didn't install a peephole in the door that I had expected them to install but didn't specify). However, they came out and made good on both the issues I had, including explaining the rationale for the reasons they had done what they had done. Overall, I was pleased with the work and would hire them again.

Dave was the salesman. He was very friendly and thorough as we reviewed our choices of door type. Our door is unusual in that it swings in. This fact was missed by the person ordering the door, so the installer's time was wasted as he started to remove the old door before discovering the new one was not right. They ordered the door again and the installation went smoothly. The installer was friendly and professional. The only odd thing in the end was that they put a black door closer bracket on a white door. They said that swing in doors only come with black brackets, doesn't make sense to me but that's what they said.

From start to finish service was excellent! Donnie assisted with choosing the door. Could see the final projection right on computer, that was a huge help. The office kept us updated on install date, and worked with us to meet our needs. Steve and Dale were very neat, professional and personable. The job was very thorough. We love the door and are getting many good compliments! Have replaced windows with energy swing in the past and have always been extremely satisfied with all of their products and service. Highly recommend Energy Swing!

JOYCEBILT CONSTRUCTION

Original door was detailed and had wooden panels and inlays (it was a standard door, in other words, but not a flat door). Mr. Joyce was able to get a new door that was an almost exact match. It was installed with skill. Mr. Joyce was courteous, helpful, and the work he and his worker did was excellent.

Called Dave and he came over to estimate the job I had in mind. I thought the storm door would have to be replaced with a new door but Dave said he could salvage the present door by reinstalling the door, thereby saving me the cost of a new door. Several days later he arrived and about a hour later had finished the work of reinstalling the storm door and also sealing the gaps that allowed cold air through. As a result of being able to use the existing door I paid only eighty dollars for a job I had though would cost hundreds.

The ordering and measuring process went smoothly. After three weeks the unfinished doors were delivered to my home. I stained and finished the doors. After I finished the staining, H.P. Starr came to install the doors. However, the manufacturer cut one set of bifold doors incorrectly and they did not fit. Dorothy Taylor who takes car of doors and windows for H.P. Starr did a great job of correcting the problem. She dealt with the manufacturer and ordered a new set of doors. In fact Starr stained and finished this set of doors, since I had already stained the original doors. The new set of doors fit perfectly and look great. H.P. Starr stands by their products and services.

He first came out to assess the condition of the door and dropped off a Provia door catalog we could use to select the doors we wanted. We exchanged a few emails with questions until we had reached a decision on an entrance door and a storm door. There were plenty of options including different materials, window styles and hardware as well as colors. There was no doubt these doors were far superior to what you'd get at a big box home improvement store. Provia doors cost more but the quality is obvious. The color-matched storm door and entrance door really look great (even the storm door closer and screw heads are color-matched). Some of the brickwork below the threshold had loosened and needed to be repaired. He arranged for another contractor to remove the loose bricks and insert a precast concrete block prior to the door installation, and conveniently rolled that in to our overall invoice. We were told when the door would arrive and he called to arrange installation. Installation required replacing the entire frame as well as the doors. The doors were exactly as we ordered and the installation was professional. They put down cardboard where they were working then swept up after they finished, leaving the area spotless. Our doors are so much more weathertight - you really have to tug on the entrance door to open it because of the strong seal of the storm door. The locks operate very smoothly. One piece of trim was a little too short and they had to re-order that piece which took about a week - and we weren't asked to pay a cent until the entire job was completed, including that replacement piece of trim. Overall very pleased and would certainly use again. Recommended.

The company was very professional, and performed beyond our expectations. The door was a big job. They installed a double steel door in a concrete block wall of a room under the garage. We changed our mind after contracting Cullen Construction to install a regular door. No problem. Even after ordering the regular door, they accomodated and got the double door, and only charged for the difference in the price of the door. All work was done very well, and the door is perfect.

Recent Review: Front entrance of our 1965-built split-level was two doors that met in the middle. We never used the right side one at all, and the doors leaked cold in the winter, were hard to close: time to replace. We decided to go with a single door with two sidelights. Took three bids, one from Metropolitan, one from Brookside Lumber, and one from Scott Bros. Metropolitan's bid was 2,000 higher than the others, as they only sell Provia doors, which are pricey, for no reason I could fathom. Scott and Brookside both quoted us ThermaTru doors, and the pricing was nearly the same. Scott was actually a bit higher, but the difference in presentation gave the sale to Scott. Wade Knight is a man who obviously knows his business. The other two sent out salesman, but Scott sent Wade, who is an installer, and knew what the issues would be ahead of time. He took a good hour or two talking with us, measuring the door space, and saw potential problems the other guys didn't even notice. Wade made the sale. He was on site to help with the install, so I had three pros put our door in, and they were done in six hours. They removed some old wood trim ( a faux "colonial" wood decoration that was just screaming "1960s". They removed it at no extra charge. Scott uses BenBilt to custom-make the doors and sidelights. The whole of it came as one unit in a box, and fit like a glove into the hole where the old doors were. BenBilt did a great job on the staining and the jambs. I highly recommend Scott Brothers. We had a little light leak by the bottom of the door, a few months after installation. Wade was out the same day I called and corrected the problem. What more can I say? It doesn't get any better than that.

Recent Review: Salesman came on schedule and estimated cost for door we wanted. After door was manufactured, installer called to make an appointment to install the door. Installer came and installed the door on day 1. He finished the exterior on day 2. If the above sounds cut and dried, it wasn't. As with any old house, you never know what you are going to find until you start taking things apart. The installer removed the wood around the door and was faced with a lot more work that he anticipated because of the way the house was constructed. However, he didn't complain. Instead he dug right in and did a masterful job of disassemble and reassembly. The end result is a great looking door and frame.

Recent Review: Angelo Associates was absolutely wonderful to work with and will be reaching out to them again as my first option if I need other services in the future. From the pre-job scoping with Dean about my door widening / installation job, to communication through the process of ordering the door and conducting a final pre-job walkthrough, to Dave's expert craftsmanship during the job where he wore different hats as an electrician, drywall installer, and carpenter framing and installing the door, they exceeded my expectations. The company excels in communication with you as the client and the work product was top notch.

Recent Review: Rich and Vince were great to work with. I saw them installing a door at a neighbors and asked them to stop over when done. Rich came over when they were done with the neighbors and looked over the existing garage doors and went over what he would be able to do. He provided me with a quote at that time. I called two other companies for quotes, the other two quotes were similar in price, but none of the guys were as personable as Rich. I placed the order with Dunn and they were able to install the new doors 2 weeks after providing a down payment of $800. When my doors came in Rich called and scheduled an install date. On the day of install Rich and Vince showed up on time and told me the installation would take roughly 6 hours. When they were completed Vince called me down and reviewed how to use the new Liftmaster system and showed me how to program the security codes for each door on the keyless entry system. Rich reviewed how to maintain the doors. I strongly recommend Dunn Garage Doors. They did a great job for a fair price.

Recent Review: The whole process was a breeze. My husband and I were referred to Jelly?s Garage Doors by a friend and also saw that they had excellent reviews on Angie?s List. Once we accepted the quote, Danielle scheduled us for the installation (the quote also included removal of the old door, upgraded hardware, new track, weatherstripping and a 5 year warranty on parts / labor). The crew arrived on time and worked throughout the morning to install the door, which looks great! I would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of a new garage door.

Recent Review: The owner, Rick Fish, took the time to explain the differences between the 2 doors I was looking at. He did not pressure me in buying anything. He gave me a book and said "take your time". I hate being pressured the day people come out to give estimates. His Installer, Phil, was great. He showed up early, went right to work and cleaned up after installing the door. The door looks awesome! I would hire them both again.

Recent Review: Everything went very well. We got a few quotes on the entry door, and Pittsburgh Window & Door Co's was the lowest. Tom was very easy to work with, responding to my emails quickly. The doors arrived about 7 weeks after we placed the order, and the installation went smoothly. They were pretty professional and they cleaned up the place afterwards. It's been more than 4 years and there's no problem with the doors. The next year when I asked Tom to give me the documentation for tax credit for energy saving doors, he also responded immediately.

Recent Review: The representative from the company looked at one of my storm doors. He then informed me that I didn't need a new storm door he did some adjustments, changed a few pieces. It was like a new door. I did need one replaced so the door was ordered, and installed quickly. I have used Richard Felser in the past so once again they have exceeded my expectations on what to expect from a home improvement company.

Recent Review: The Front Door and Side Door were both steel doors and over 34 years old and it was time to replace them. We were so impressed with our new windows and Back Door, which were installed in late April of 2019, that we went ahead, in July and ordered the Front and Side Doors, along with Storm Doors. The installation went great and Alex, the foreman was very accommodating and polite. They, also, did a great job of cleaning up. We had requested, that the molding, in the Family Room, where the Side Door was going, be preserved, so it could be used for the door again. Great job and the quality of all four doors are terrific.

Recent Review: From start to finish Dun Rite is a "class act". Mr. Trasatti arrived with measuring tools, brochures, and great recommendations for replacing our two broken down old wooden doors. He even took into consideration specific needs for the back storm door ---- a door that would get daily abuse from our 100 pound dog. Mr. Trasatti is genuine, helpful, patient, and a good communicator. I even called in a last minute request for a large "fish-eye" viewer to be included on our new back door. Dun Rite's craftsmen, John and John did very exacting work in terrible winter conditions. This entire year we have enjoyed the security and great features of our new Dun Rite doors. I only wish that I had a bigger savings account so that we could get a new front door from the great people at Dun Rite !

Recent Review: Repairman showed up early, which was great. The bracket that held the opener arm to the door was pulling away from the door, and the bolt holes in metal door were damaged, and would no longer hold bolts. The repairman devised a way to secure the door to the opener with a bracket across the entire length of the door. The repair is very sturdy, and rather ingenious. Door operates smoothly now. Very satisfied with the repair.
