From a business perspective, I dealt mainly with the prime contractor. I dealt with Yoder only because they did the outside work as a subcontractor. The dollar amount above is only my rough estimate for the subcontractor share of the job. They showed up when promised. Got all of the drilling (5 x 175 ft wells) done in one day. A week later, they came back and got all of the trenching and piping done in a second day. They were flexible. They managed to thread the trenches and pipes in between existing trees to minimize damage. They unfortunately damaged 5 buried pipes (2 I warned them about, 3 no-one knew existed) but they took it in stride and repaired each one good as new. They went above and beyond to do a little extra work as a favor while they were here and would not accept any extra money for it. They left the yard a mess, but they warned me several times about this (even with pictures) before I signed the contract, so I no way hold that against them. There was a small dispute between the driller and the engineer. The engineer was correct (as I can verify because I am an engineer myself) but the driller did it his way. But he did compromise a bit when I pushed him to and quot;do it rightand quot;. This was not a major thing (or I would have insisted more strongly), but it may cost the efficiency of my system a small amount.
