Rick ran into some problems because he was cleaning up other contractors' work. Thus, the work took longer than expected and was more complex than originally planned. Because of this, he underbid the job, and some change orders were necessary because of the increased complexity of the job and also because we ordered material that was more expensive than he planned for in his project budget. Make sure that all of your subjective decisions are made before he gives you a final estimate. For example, if you want a certain flooring type with a certain design, make sure that you tell him this so Rick can give you an accurate material allowance. We wanted more expensive flooring than planned, so we had to add a change order to the project. For some reason, dogs seem to be a theme with Angie's List. We have a dog, and Rick's employees did well with him, sometimes putting him out for us when we weren't home.

I cannot say enough good things about this young man. His workmanship is exemplary. I showed him a picture of some shelving and he brought them to life. I asked him to build me a live edge table. Perfect. His attention to detail is spot on. Build out a wall for a fireplace, no problem.

Overall everything went well. The crew showed up when expected and put in a good full day's work. This was a large job which took six days with an average of 3 installers on site. The only problem which I have found are some areas where the crew doing the main floor were a bit careless and gouged the walls. I was given a fair credit to compensate. Prior to deciding on the firm to use I talked with two other installers. Ron, the owner of RB Installations gave the best advice overall, but none seemed off the wall. I asked him about one option that another installer suggested and he agreed that it was a valid way to do the work. The final selection was based on price and the product selection. We found flooring that best matched what we wanted from Lumber Liquidators. RB is one of their referred installers and using them provides a warranty that potentially makes it easier to obtain a repair than just an installers good faith guarantee.

Very happy with the results of this endeavor. We remodeled the bathroom and needed done in short notice. Bob from Avalon tile and tub was very flexible and accommodating. Gave us a quick quote that was cheap (we own several properties so saving money is important) and the work was grade A for the cost. Would recommend to a friend in a heartbeat and will definitely be using them in the future.

Recent Review: When I called for an estimate, the owner sent his skilled finish carpenter to review the project and discuss options for replacing the floor. I appreciated that he arrived exactly on time and took my preferences to heart. He devised a plan to replace the floor on the wrap-around porch without damaging the decorative trim on the posts and the hand-made railings. Of the three companies I arranged to review the project, this was the only one that was willing to approach the floor replacement without removing the posts and railings. I'm delighted with the how careful the workmen were throughout the three-week project, the fact that they cleaned the job site at the end of each day, and I'm extremely pleased with the results. Although the composite decking was expensive and a french drain was added to the project to prevent run-off water from collecting under the ground-level flooring, the final cost was on par with one other estimate and significantly lower than the other. The owner, Michael Healey, came to the job site three times: he reviewed the initial proposal on his first trip, and then came on two other occasions to make sure I was comfortable with the quality of workmanship and the rate of progress. I suspect I would not have received the same personal attention from the other companies that bid on the project. With future construction-related projects, I will need to make only one call - which will be to The Healey Company.
Super Service Award Recent Review: Josh did an amazing job installing our floors. He arrived on time everyday and worked nonstop - even several nights until 8 o'clock to make sure the job was completed on time. He professionalism was only rivaled by his skill level. We have an old house with no right angles or even surfaces, but with Josh's precision and attention to detail you'd never be able to tell. Our floors look amazing! The owner, Ron Doran stopped by to check in and was in constant contact. We will definitely use Doran Hard Services for all of our hardwood flooring needs in the future.
Super Service Award Recent Review: I was so pleased with the installation. The workers (Matt and Brandon) were prompt and friendly and cleaned up at the end. The work was done in less than 3 days except for the backsplash. A week after installation was completed, I had a major plumbing problem not associated with the installation. My plumber had to cut a hole in the back wall under the sink to replace a leaking pipe. Matt made a piece to fit in the back to cover the hole. They went above and beyond.

Recent Review: We first used Bud Young some years ago to install flooring and carpet in our mudroom and second floor respectively. For the most recent job, we didn't go anywhere else. Bud worked with us at our convenience at his store and at our home, his installers were prompt and courteous, and we're very happy, once again, to get flooring from Bud. We relied on his expertise and experience, knowing he would always do right by us. Young Brothers is a great example of you get what you pay for and how important old fashion customer care is.

Recent Review: It went very well. The installer of the tile was very skilled. He did a nice job. The price was more than the offer but they charged for materials. The job was excellent! The installer did an excellent job. I thought it was a good company.
Recent Review: I called for an estimate and they were able to come out the next day with samples of flooring and a price quote. I had received other quotes for this same job which were much higher. The work was started a week later. The installers were punctual and professional. The job took two days . This was a large area and I was surprised they were able to finish so quickly. There wasn't much dust and they cleaned everything up when finished. The floors turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It is a natural wood finish, which really brightens up our home. I highly recommend Roth Carpet and Flooring 2U.
