Recent Review: I received a call from their office the next day. I told them I was extremely satisfied with them fixing my garage door. She told me that the man that fixed the door told her that I needed a new door. I asked her if they had insulated garage doors, and she said, "yes". I told her that I already had a big project set up for a sewer tap-in, but I would get back with them later about a new insulated garage door.

Recent Review: Anthony and his men were on time and very professional. They removed our old garage door and opener and reconstructed the opening of the garage to allow for the new door to fit perfectly. They were meticulous, courteous, and explained what they were doing and why. They cleaned up after installation, and hauled the old door/opener away. Upon finishing, Anthony showed us how to operate the door/opener, and gave us some tips on how to maintenance them. The price that Anthony had quoted us was the price we paid-not a penny more. Reliable, dependable, honest-you can't find a better company to deal with. I wish all businesses functioned as well as this one! Call Anthony first, not last, if you need his services.

Recent Review: Overall, we are very happy with our door. We had to wait over 6 weeks for the install (which was promised in 3 weeks upon purchase). No good reason for the delay was ever given. When it was installed, one of the panels was dented and had to be reordered, which took another month. Then we had to point out areas where the seal wasn't tight and the installer did fix these. We are now very happy with the door. It looks beautiful and has improved our curb appeal dramatically. It operates smoothly and quietly. We are very glad that we went for the more expensive thermoseal insulating door with double paned windows. Our garage and family room above it are much more comfortable temperature-wise. Overhead did listen and respond to our concerns to make everything right. We would recommend them.

Recent Review: Bob (installer) arrived exactly when he said he would. He wasn't counting on replacing the opener; it went bad a day or two before our appointment to have our garage door replaced. Fortunately, he had one on the truck, so he was able to install a new opener along with our new garage door. He completed the whole job in 4 - 5 hours.

Recent Review: I contacted Electric garage door sales at the end of May. They promptly scheduled an appointment for an estimate. When the man came he was not pushy at all and got me the best deal he could. When I ordered my door they said it would take up to 4 weeks for it to arrive. I think it took more like 3. Now that it is installed I couldn't be happier. It changed the whole look of the house. The men that came to installed it were very punctual and professional. I will defiantly recommend this company to my friends and family. I am very pleased.

Recent Review: The crew was on time, and pointed out a few items that were included in the original quote that were not needed and resulted in some savings for me. They worked quickly, and had the new doors in place in less than 4 hours. The doors work flawlessly, and their energy efficiency is already apparent. My garages have low ceilings. They are a maximum of 7' from floor to ceiling. While Giel was not the lowest of the three bids that I received, they were the only contractor that offered to install the doors without adding additional spacers across the top of the opening, and further decreasing the entry height. For comparison, I priced the same garage doors with installation prices listed at Home Depot. Thomas V. Giel's price was lower. All in all, I am pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the product.

Recent Review: They did excellent work, installed and cleaned up everything in half a day, were pleasant to work with and didn't nickel and dime us for every detail. Gerry did our estimate and was just a little cheaper then two other big name companies we talked to. He was excellent in returning our calls and keeping in touch while we waited for our doors to show up. That was the only problem though, that the choice of door we picked wasn't a popular style, so we had to wait almost two months for them to ship, but as I mentioned, Gerry did make an effort to contact the supplier and keep in touch with us about when our doors would show up.

Recent Review: When I have a problem I can call them and they come out with no charges, take a look, and fix whatever is gone. They are probably a little bit more expensive, but again all I have to do is call them and they come out. It's on warranty. I would use them again in the future, but hopefully I won't have to.

Recent Review: Andy and his two workers arrived on day one and explained the procedures. They were prompt and began work immediately. They covered all the floors and furniture with tarps. Andy explained that we had rodent droppings around the basement rim joist and that he would dispose of all the insulation as a safety precaution. He told us that they can sometimes put the fiberglass over the spray foam for additional insulation, but it was not necessary. The spray foam was applied all around the rim joist in the basement. Andy and his crew plotted out the garage roof to determine where the holes would be drilled for the cellulose to be blown in. They finished the basement and garage in one day. That night, there was a dramatic difference in the bedroom and bathroom floors over the garage--it was the first time that I could walk on them in my bare feet and not get shocked from the cold. DRAMATIC difference! (our bathroom drain pipes had been freezing when the temperature was below 20) A few days later, the crew arrived and worked in the attic all day. They told us that we will most likely notice the difference in the summertime when our home will feel cooler. Andy and his crew were prompt, courteous, and CLEAN. They cleaned up everything, TWICE. There was residual dust from the cellulose, but it was minor. I am sorry that we did not have this done when we first bought our home. Thanks Andy for making our home so much more comfortable.

Recent Review: We had a pipe burst in our kitchen, which resulted in the removal of our kitchen floor, garage insulation, and garage ceiling. (The garage is directly below the kitchen.) Since this was covered by our homeowner's insurance, we initially worked with a restoration company the insurers had recommended. After this other company completed demolition of our kitchen and garage, they were MIA when we repeatedly asked for them to come back and do the repairs. Taking matters into our own hands, we contacted McClelland Home Maintenance. Best... decision... ever. It was a Monday that I called them to request an estimate. They came to our house on Wednesday to review the areas where we needed repair. Wednesday night I had an estimate in my inbox. We approved the estimate Thursday, and they were at our house ready to go first thing on the following Monday. Repairs took 3 1/2 consecutive days, and every morning, they were at our front door promptly at 7:55am prepared to get to work. The whole crew was extremely professional, courteous, surprisingly quiet, and always consulted me on the few times complications arose. Each day before they left (again, promptly at 3:00pm) they'd review with me what all was completed that day and what was on the agenda tomorrow. The quality of the work was also stellar. The garage ceiling is now flawless, the new baseboards made a world of difference, and the kitchen floor turned out even better than we expected. (See the attached pictures of our kitchen floor after the demo and prior to the repair, and the new floor that was installed.) Overall, we're extremely pleased with the work they did, and definitely would recommend them to friends. And once we save up some money for new baseboards in the rest of the house, they'll be getting another call from us. ;)
