I had the pleasure of working with McNish Outdoor Living twice this past summer. Let me start by saying that I rarely write reviews. I will also add that I am extremely picky and detail oriented.... (bordering on neurotic :). Taking that into consideration, I can't say enough about Emiel and the quality of his workmanship. Emiel repaired and completed our existing (half built) decks by installing railings and several staircases. He also removed rotted wood and replaced it with new. This was a challenging job due to the fact that he had to "clean up" someone else's "messy" work. Throughout it all, he never complained and was extremely accommodating when it came to my many requests. I hired Emiel a second time to build a pergola. He arrived on time and built the Pergola in ONE DAY per my specs. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the outcome of both projects. Emiel is a master carpenter who is dependable, reasonable and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to hire McNish Outdoor Living again and highly recommend his services. From start to finish they were professional and friendly. Jeff was up-front about how they operate and the way their pricing works. He listened to what we wanted and was back with me within 24 hours. Paul, the craftsman performing the work, was on-time and worked very quickly, efficiently and was surprisingly clean. We originally called only for pressure cleaning and staining but saw that they do so much more on their website and decided to ask if they could do a few other projects as well. I will admit, I was a little concerned because my laundry list of projects was all over the place, but Paul seemed completely confident he would be able to do everything. He walked through it all with me and I could tell he knew what he was doing. And not only was he able, it looked awesome! It took a few days to complete everything but Paul always let us know what the status was and when he would return. My Handy Craftsman did an awesome job! We are so pleased with everything. The price was fair, the work was done quickly, the quality was great and the versatility was amazing. We would definitely use them again for future projects

Aluminum Contractors installed a bronze screen enclosure to an existing covered front porch. We have stone facing on the front columns. They cut into the stone very nicely for a neat, strong fit. They caulked both inside and out for a tight seal. They also installed white super gutters (to match our house trim) in 2 areas of the front where we had very heavy rain from the roof. Nicely done. Very satisfied

My husband and I purchased a large wooden swing set for my 6 year old grandaughter for Christmas. Jeffrey Marks of Marks Brothers Fence & Rail, Inc. was installing a fence at my son's home and I told my son to speak to Jeffrey and ask it he would be interested in building the set for us. Jeffrey said he had built several of them and agreed to do the job. After looking at the set in the packing boxes, he quoted us a price of $525 to $550 and we agreed. Two partial days into the project Jeffrey found pieces missing. Obviously he had not followed the manufacturer's instructions to do a parts inventory before starting. My son contacted the company and they agreed to ship the parts so they would arrive in two days. At this point Jeffrey asked for a payment for the work that had already been done. Because it was so near Christmas but against better judgment my husband agreed to give him $400 so each workman would have $200 for the weekend. We also agreed that we would pay an additional $50 upon completion because the parts that were missing slowed the guys down from completing the job. The missing parts arrived as planned on Friday. My son called Jeffrey to tell him the parts were there and to see when he could return to finish the job. Jeffrey informed my son that he would not be coming back to complete the work because he did not feel he could make any money on the job. Jeffrey said he would try to find someone else willing to do the work for the $200 still owed. My son called him numerous times but we have never heard back. The worst part of this is Jeffrey didn't care that the little 6 year old is heartbroken that her set isn't getting done or how hard it is finding people to work on a partially completed project

Mark did an excellent job on the Deck. He was able to complete the project on schedule, despite the fact that more work was needed than we first expected due to the old deck being in disrepair. The final product is fantastic, it looks wonderful. He not only built the deck and railings, but also built us new stairs and gates. All in all, he did a great job, and we look forward to using our deck for many years to come

I called their ad from Craiglist. I representative answered immediately. He asked a few questions to get basic information. I told him I was in a hurry to not only have my roof looked at, but also to have the work completed. He said someone would call me back in 30 minutes. About 10 minutes later, I received a call from Brian Strnad. He said he could be on site in 90 minutes. I pulled up to the house 90 minutes later and Brian was sitting there waiting. I pointed to the area of concern. They went up on the roof and diagnosed the problem. They said they could take care of it for $300 and they could do it on the spot. Both of these thing made me extremely happy. I was expecting the price to be over $500 and there was no way I was expecting them to take care of it at that exact point. It took them about 3 hours and I've not had any water issues since. My floor and house is back to beautiful!! Thank you Strnad Constuction!
