Matt and Dave did an excellent job. They are two experienced carpenters. They did outstanding work. They took their time to do the work right the first time. The building inspector, that came to inspect the dock, said they did an excellent job. That this dock was built to last a lifetime. Deckbuilders guided us through each step as the dock was being built. If you have a project these are the people to call. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Vero Dock
We purchased our "new" 1973 house last year. Unfortunately, the existing seawall was in disrepair. Ron and the Vero Dock team performed extensive repairs to stabilize and rehabilitate the sea wall. It has been almost a year and the sea wall has performed flawlessly since Vero Dock rehabilitated it. Our next project for Vero Dock was to rehab an existing dock to cover some concrete pilings and install permanent fenders. Ron did the design and his team did the work. That enhancements look and work great. We can now comfortably dock our boat on that dock without having to worry that it will be damaged if the wind or water comes up. Our final and largest Vero Dock project was the design and construction of a new dock for our 19 food outboard and our Hobie tandem sailing kayak. Once again Ron did the design. He spent a little of time with me going over the many decision points (for example, the height of the dock in relation to the sea wall cap). Ron is smart, detailed oriented and has years of experience. We have now been using our new dock for almost a year and we love it. The design is fabulous and the construction is top notch. I really appreciate Vero Dock's attention to little details. For example, they used only stainless steel hardware. They also gave a lot of thought to the electrical and water configuration (both of which they installed with a little help from an electrician). We have had a couple of punch list items. Ron was very responsive in getting those resolved to my complete satisfaction. Over the course of the last year, we have used a lot of local contractors (windows and doors, HVAC, roof, etc.) to help us rehab our house. Of all the contractors we have worked with Vero Dock was one of the very best. If Angie's List would let me, I'd rate Vero Dock A+.

Nautical Construction
Nautical Construction is the best! They built me an 80' seawall with a concrete cap. The cap is 4 foot wide! Truly a beast. My neighbors say it's the finest seawall they have ever seen. The dock is two levels with a 25' slip and remote controlled boat lift. As a bonus they added L.E.D. lighting that is also controlled by remote. It makes evening docking a breeze.

Southern Dock Designs
I had a total of 4 bids. Southern Docks was the cheapest and most thought through bid. The other guys did not pay attention to detail. Some of the other bids would not return my phone calls or emails in a timely manner. Tom is extremely professional. After looking at approximately 15 other docks that Tom had built and talking with their owners, I got nothing but positive feedback...EVERY single owner was extremely happy with his work . HIs work is flawless. I changed the design probably 10 times and Tom never complained. Tom keeps his word and the payment did not change, other than I added a few upgrades. I have seen many docks in Lake County and Tom's docks far exceed anyone else's docks. If you pick Southern Docks you will be very happy with your product. Trust me, you are wasting your time with anyone else...I spent months researching the docks and the dock builders. I have done all the homework for you. Also, I would highly recommend Trex Transend.

This is a family owned business and that is how I felt working with them, like family. I would recommend this company to anyone. Very honest and professional from beginning to end. They were a pleasure to work with. I interviewed and got quotes from 4 other businesses and none of them took the time to listen to what I wanted my dock to look like. With the help and guidance of the owner Howard who made several trips out with drawings for the dock, we were able to come up with a very sturdy and user friendly dock. HIs wife Martha was very receptive on the phone to all my questions. I research everything to the nth degree and it paid off. Thank you DeckBuilders Inc. for a very pleasant experience. If you are a very particular person like myself request George to do the job. He expedited the replacing and re designing of my dock exactly as I wanted it.

Meridian Mechanical
I contacted Meridian to run a water line to my dock so we could have water for boat cleaning again. (Dock was damaged by Irma and the water line was destroyed). All within a week, Meridian came out for a estimate and installed the new line. Their price was very reasonable, their employees professional and the job was performed as expected. I will definitely be using Meridian for any future plumbing needs.

Southern Dock Designs
Installing the new covered deck involved demolition of old dock & seawall. Opting for aluminum vs composite or wood posed unique challenges as the new dock HAD to be installed perfectly “square” as the aluminum decking arrived precut. The #1 p/t ground contact wooden roof posts, joists and header materials are the finest available and double through bolted using ½” galvanized fasteners. Construction of the hand framed 26 gauge galvanized metal hip roof was outstanding. The covered deck is solidly cross-braced and looks incredible. Both the seawall and dock crews were very responsive and customer friendly. The remarkable precision and quality workmanship on the project exceeded all my expectations!!

Recent Review: When I first contacted Don at waterfront and set up an appointment I had already had 2 previous estimates. Don was prompt and on time for our appointment. He was very professional and listened carefully to my wishes. They were very competitive on the prices and in most cases were a better bargain for your buck. I live in an HOA neighborhood and had to contact them numerous times for different demands from the HOA for additional information. Donna in the office was very receptive and promptly responded to my requests. They informed me that getting required permits was running about 3 weeks. Be very patient because it took every bit of it as 5 permits were required. Once the permits were received they began work the very next week. I have worked with numerous contractors and crews and have to say I was genuinely impressed with the crews that were sent out. I want to give a shout out to the three that were on the job every day (which starts around 8am). Mark, Dave, and Eric, were on time every day and were very knowledgeable. They began with a plan and followed it to the letter. The first few days they had multiple crews working and were able to complete the seawall and dock in 6 days. Mark and Dave came out on a Saturday to finish the work. The next week was the backfill to grade and sod the disturbed areas. Everyone they sent were polite, courteous, and knew their job well. All crews worked extremely well together. They were cautious with my property as it was their own. The entire job took about 2 weeks as they had told me. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a premier company with professionalism and integrity. They are a class A company that does an outstanding job.
