After assessing the problem, he informed the manager that he could provide a quick fix and see if that helped, but a long-term fix would cost twice the amount.. I went with the quick fix because the washer was very old. If it breaks again, I will be buying a new one, so it was nice to have options. We were very impressed with the service.

Our washing machine would not agitate. It turned out ot be a switch that needed to be fixed. I took it in there on a Thursday and told them that we needed it fixed by the weekend if they could. Well, a couple hours later, I was able to pick up our fixed washing machine. They were really professional and got on our job right away.

I called this company at approximately 8:15am on 10/19/2009. I advised that I needed a repairman to come out and see if I could get my washing machine repaired. I asked what the charge would be for someone coming out just to look and was told $79.00. That was even if no repair was ultimately done. If a repair was done, the $79.00 would be applied towards bill. I had a leak happen the night before. When my wife started the washing machine, I heard water sounding like it was hitting the floor. The washing tub was overflowing and when I attempted to shut off the water at the knob, it wouldn't stop. The only way I was able to stop the water was to manually shut off the water at the wall. I cleaned up the mess and try to determine if it would be worth getting this 21 year washing machine fixed or not. I inclination was to buy a new one, but I thought this Maytag had lasted this long, so I would see how much it would cost to fix first. My appointment with the repairman was a 12pm. He called me at 11am and advised he had gotten done with an earlier appointment and asked me if anyone was at home. I told him I could only be there at noon as I was working. The repairman, Fernando was very friendly and knowledgeable. He tested the electrical connections, and in fairly short order determined that the water valve needed to be replaced. He had the part in his van and proceeded to replace the water valve. I asked about the Angie's List discount, but the repairman was not aware of a discount, but offered to take $10.00 off my bill. The total time the repairman was at my house was 1hr and 45 min. Overall, my experience with this company and the repair that was done was very good. I'm glad I didn't just go out and buy a new washing machine, and mine is again working just fine, thanks to Fernando Alfaro. Suggestion would be for this company to make all their employees aware of the Angie's List discount if there is one. Thanks...

ON APPROXIMATELY APRIL 1 OR 2 CUSTOMER CONTACTED MR. APPLIANCE FOR WASHING MACHINE REPAIR. EMILY ANSWERED THE PHONE TAKING ALL PERTINENT DETAILS OF THE SITUATION AND CUSTOMERS INFORMATION. AT THIS TIME EMILY WAS POLITE AND ACCOMMANDATING TO CUSTOMER. EMILY GAVE PRICING INFORMATION TO CUSTOMER OF $79.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE THAT IS APPLIED TOWARD THE REPAIR COST. A REPAIR DATE WAS AGREEDED UPON BY EMILY AND CUSTOMER FOR APRIL 4 BETWEEN 1-3. CUSTOMER LEFT WORK EARLY TO MEET APPOINTMENT CUSTOMERS MANAGER ALSO ASKED FOR INFORMATION REGARDING PROVIDER BECAUSE OF LEAK IN HER WASHING MACHINE HOSE. PROVIDERS ARRIVED AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30-2:45. PROVIDERS OBTAINED INFORMATION FROM CUSTOMER REGARDING THE PROBLEM THEN PROCEEDED TO EXAMINE WASHING MACHINE TO LOCATE THE EXACT PROBLEM. PROVIDER DETERMINED THAT THE SWITCH WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PROVIDER INFORMED CUSTOMER THAT THE PART WAS NOT IN STOCK ON THEIR TRUCK AND WOULD HAVE TO BE ORDERED. PROVIDER CALLED THEIR BASE (EMILY) TELLING HER OF THE SITUATION. EMILY REPEATED WHAT HAD ALREADY BEEN TOLD TO ME AND SAID SHE HAD AN OPENING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8 BETWEEN 3-5. CUSTOMER RESPONDED BY TELLING EMILY LEAVING WORK EARLY AGAIN WAS NOT POSSIBLE SO SOON AFTER LEAVING FOR THE PRESENT APPOINTMENT. CUSTOMER TOLD EMILY THAT SHE COULD BE AVAILABLE AT 4 PM BECAUSE THAT WAS WHAT TIME CUSTOMER ARRIVED HOME FROM WORK. EMILY THEN STATED CUSTOMER "HAD TO BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN 3-5 IN CASE THE REPAIRMENT ARRIVED AT 3. CUSTOMER AGAIN STATED THAT CUSTOMER COULD NOT LEAVE WORK EARLY AGAIN IN SUCH CLOSE PROXIMITY. CUSTOMER DID NOT MENTION SHE HAD USED ALL OF HER PERSONAL LEAVE BANK TO MEET THE PRESENT APPOINTMENT. EMILY WAS STILL UNWAVERING AND UNREASONABLE TO CUSTOMER AND STATED THE COMPANY WAS PERFORMING A SERVICE FOR THIS CUSTOMER WHICH WAS VERY INSULTING IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THE CUSTOMERS PAYMENTS AND APPLIANCE BREAKDOWNS IS WHAT KEEPS THEIR COMPANY AFLOAT AND I THINK A LITTLE RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION WOULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY. EMILY WOULD NOT MEET THE CUSTOMER HALF WAY TO DETERMINE A FAVORABLE SOLUTION TO THE TIME SCHEDULING AND AT THE TIME OF THIS WRITING CUSTOMERS WASHER IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIANS LEFT APOLIGETICALLY AND THE NEXT DAY I RECEIVED AN E-MAIL STATING I OWED $79.00 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND STATING I HAD REFUSED TO MAKE A RETURN APPOINTMENT OR PAY FOR SERVICES RENDERED WHICH IS NOTHING SHORT OF A LIE. I WAS NOT ASKED FOR ANY PAYMENT I SUPPOSE BECAUSE OF THE SURROUNDING CIRCUMSTANCES. WHEN I RETURNED TO WORK APRIL 7, I LET MY MANAGER KNOW THAT THE PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN SOLVED. I AM WORKING EXTRA TIME TO ACCUMMALTE LEAVE THIS WEEK TO ENABLE ME TO LEAVE EARLY THIS FRIDAY TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION. I ALSO TOLD MY MANAGER THAT SHE CAN DO EXACTLY HOW SHE WISHES BUT SHE WOULD BE PRUDENT TO AVOID USING THIS COMPANY FOR HER OWN WASHING MACHINE REPAIR NEEDS. I HAVE ALSO CONVEYED THIS INFORMATION TO OTHERS THAT I WORK WITH FOR THEIR FUTURE NEEDS. WHEN A CUSTOMER SIGNS WITH A PROVIDER FROM ANY OF THE SERIVCE RESOURCES ON THE WEB THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO END UP IN A HE SAID SHE SAID SITUATION AS IF THE CUSTOMER IS DEALING WITH IMMATURE CHILDREN. THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT ALSO HAVE TO DEAL WITH LIES AND INUENDOES USED TO COVER UP THE INCONSIDERATION OF A COMPANIES PERSONNEL. I HAVE ALSO MAILED THIS COMPANY THEIR $79.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE WHICH TECHNICALLY THEY ARE ENTITLED TO BECAUSE I DID AGREE TO PAY THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE. I HAVE ALSO FOUND THAT THEIR DIAGNOSTIC FEE IS ALMOST $30.00 HIGHER THEN SEVERAL OTHER APPLIANCE REPAIR PERSONS I HAVE RESEARCHED. SO FOR FUTURE NEED OF APPLIANCE REPAIR IT MIGHT BE PRUDENT TO RESEARCH OTHER RESOURCES AND AT ANY RATE TO AVOID THIS COMPANY.
