Reviews in Oklahoma City to Repair Cracked Heat Exchangers

The unit quit due to a short in the old pigtail electric cord. The HVAC technician quickly spotted the problem, went to Locke Supply to get a new pigtail, and replaced it in short order, less than an hour. He also recommend ed that the electrical outlet be replaced that the cord plugged into. It was loose with loose wiring in one of the plugs, thereby presenting a potential electrical hazard. We had that replaced later by an electrician that the HVAC technician recommended.

Excellent experience. Mark was prompt and communicated very well. He traced my problem to simple rust and debris buildup, although I would have believed a more costly solution involving replacement parts. He cleaned not only the burner rails, which were the cause of the problem but also the heat enchanger which was a problem waiting to happen. This was all done at what I think is a very reasonable price.

They actually came out on a Sunday and they were here within 2 hours of the time they said they would be here. They also came out in nasty weather. They offered me the choice of waiting a day so I wouldn't be charged an overtime service call or have them still come out on Sunday. I opted for the Sunday. I also liked the fact that they checked everything out and then they told me exactly what was wrong and gave me recommendations. He was able to give me a quote on replacing the furnace and also helping me to save some extra money in labor. They are prompt, very friendly and very professional. They get the business done and then they are gone.

ELMORE BROTHERS HEATING AIR CO
5.0
First I had 3 other companies come quote fixing my issue. Why 3? Because the first one said that my unit was so old it would require a replacement. He said there was no way to fix it and the labor alone would cost more than the repairs were worth even if it were possible. 3 places come out and gave the same answer. they all left books and brochures with quotes of 5-7 grand in total costs to replace my AC, Duct work, and Furnace. All of them saying there was nothing they could do if there was a cracked heat exchange. What did Elmore brothers do? They did the HONEST Thing!! Elmore brothers (Just one man, one of the owners) came by. We did not feed him a sob story, we simply let him look over the unit. He came back and said that the heat exchange was probably under warranty. He then called the vendor and it was!! He came back after getting the part shipped to him and replaced the cracked heat exchange and charged me so little for his work i added a few hundred in TIP amount since he saved me thousands compared to other places who did not even try! Thank you Elmore brothers and even though this is a late review, know that I have told so many people about your business!

Drabek & Hill Air Conditioning & Heating Inc.
5.0
The Drabek and Hill Tech came out on Saturday morning to service the heat. He recommended a new heat unit and the salesman Lester was there within a few hours later. I was concerned because we were expecting extreme cold heat the next week and did not want to be without heat. Lester went over my options and pricing (did not use high pressure tactics to make the sale) and helped me make the decision on which heat unit to purchase. He was able to get his crew out there early the following Tuesday morning. The techs arrived earlier than expected and did a great job putting the new Lennox unit it. They had to redo the blower vent that was not installed correctly the first time going up into the attic. They disconnected and pulled the old unit very quickly and after some time redoing the vent pipe they installed the new unit and had it hooked up and running. James and Don did a great job and are real pros in the business. They were very considerate about cleaning up after themselves while they were doing the install and afterward by hauling off the old unit. While the price of the new unit seemed high $4,500.00 it does have a variable speed fan which should be more energy efficient in the long run and the unit itself should last for 25-30 years if maintained properly. I would highly recommend using Drabek & Hill. All of the employees are extremely professional and always do a great job. I guess this is why they have been in business for many years in Oklahoma City.

Andrew came out to give us an estimate. He listened to what our needs were and did his best to match them. As funds were extremely tight and we were in an emergency situation, I gave Andrew the absolute most I could pay. He said he would take it to his boss and see but he couldn't promise anything. Andrew contacted me the next day and told me the price had been accepted. We got it scheduled and Clint came out to put it in. He was punctual and professional and worked efficiently. My wife called me at work about 3 hours later and told me they had finished. I got home and found the back yard was cleaner than I had left it and the new unit is so much quieter than the old one. Clint did a great job installing it and we are extremely happy and so thankful they were able to help us.

Lake Orion P,H &AC looked at their schedule and determined they had a narrow window where they could remove and replace the furnace. They arrived, worked diligently with complete professionalism. They were in and out in time to allow us to travel. Brent and his associate did a great job.

Interstate Heating & Air Conditioning
5.0
After installing a new carbon monoxide (CO) detector in my home, I was surprised when it was set off by the furnace. I called Interstate Heating & Air to diagnose the problem with the furnace. Interstate's receptionist was courteous and friendly. The service person arrived on time at 8:30AM the next day. He was also courteous, and he wore yellow bags over his shoes in order to protect my carpet. With an industrial carbon monoxide meter, we determined that the heater was NOT putting out dangerous levels of CO after all. The level at the registers was no more than 2ppm, well within the safe range. At that point, it was clear that I had a faulty CO detector. Instead of calling it quits, the service person took the time to disassemble the furnace to inspect the heat exchanger just in case. In the end, there was no work to be done, so the service person charged only the $79 service call fee.

Recent Review: They are fantastic. It has been a wonderful experience. They saved me and I had a heat exchanger go out and I didn't have money to do it because it was two weeks out of warranty. He went the extra mile, went to the representative, got him to accept the warranty even though it was two weeks off and at the end he asked me how much I could afford to pay and I said you tell me what and he said well $200 to my boys and that is all I care about and that is all he charged me. I wouldn't use anyone else for heating and air. I probably will have him out next month to service my air conditioner. He actually put this unit in about 15 years ago. Everything I have had from him has been excellent. They are very responsive as I called them on Saturday and I didn't expect them to be out here till Monday and they were here within two hours.

Recent Review: In my opinion, Ideal (Michael) is a highly ethical business. Twice now, he has debunked information received from less ethical entities. In a pinch, he helped me get the part I needed to get my heating system back in operation. In today's world, there are so many providers that seem to be intent on using the consumer's lack of knowledge to take advantage of them financially. Ideal (and Michael) seem to be the exception to that rule. My first call will be to Ideal with my Heat and Air needs. I don't make recommendations like this lightly and if my opinion changes I'll be back to retract. In the meantime, call Ideal with confidence and know you're getting the straight story.
