All of the initial inspections went great. When the actual work started though, two men were left to do the work. Both were very competent, no waving in the floor or bad grouting. Attention to detail was lacking. Many tiles were identical, side by side (at least 4 that I can think of). We picked a set that had at least 5 variations, so all they had to so was spin them. In the end, their supervisor had to come in, break one out and replace it and recut around a register. That took 3 tiles. In the end - it is a beautiful floor and they did fix the errors very quickly.

Our kitchen is a really large one but the size is hard to determine. Leave it to say that these people know their tile and do an outstanding job ensuring everything is done according to your specifications. They are very neat and clean up as if they weren't even here. Although some of the workmen are young and we had to wait a couple times for an appointment, it was well worth the wait as the quality and the perfection of the end result is excellent. I highly recommend them.

BRYAN'S FLOORING
3.0
I hired Bryan’s Flooring to install carpet in my media room and laminate flooring in the rest of the house. The carpet install went smoothly and looks great. I am pleased with how it turned out. The laminate flooring is another story. I was looking for a hard surface flooring that could pair with my existing hardwood floor. My main concern was to find a floor with the same thickness as my hardwood floor so the transition from one surface to another would be as level as possible. I was under the impression that Bryans would make that happen. What I ended up with is two flooring surfaces that are not level. I looked at several products, but settled on a laminate flooring by Inhaus. The problem, was that I assumed Bryan’s would only show me products that would meet my criteria of having a level floor. I assumed wrong. The Inhaus laminate was a 7mm that could only accept a 2-3mm underlayment (they ordered the 2mm underlayment, when 3mm could have been used). What I really needed a product closer to 9mm with a 3mm underlayment. It wasn’t until the flooring was being installed that I realized the difference in floor heights. By this time, my only choices were to stay with an uneven floor or wait several weeks, or possible months, for a thicker underlayment to be put on order. Being that all my furniture was in the garage waiting for floors to be put in, I had no choice but to accept the uneven floors. What I want you to take away from this lesson, is to always verify the specifications of the materials being used on your project. Don’t assume that by hiring “professionals”, they will do this work for you. If you want a floor to match the height of your existing floor, you must do the research yourself, that is, if you decide to go with Bryan’s Flooring. The last thing I would like to mention didn’t affect the final look and finish of the floor, but rather the attention to detail, or lack thereof, on the laminate install. When the installers pulled of the baseboards to run the floor closer to the wall, they failed to run a razor along the top of the baseboard to separate the paint from the wall that may be sticking to the baseboard. This resulted in paint peeling off the wall in one of the rooms. While touching up the paint is not a big deal, it could have been avoided by taking a few seconds to score the joint with a sharp edge. Lastly, the laminate installers failed to wipe down the new floor when they were done. When they finished and were gone, I was left with a dirty, new floor. Taking the time to wipe up construction debris caused by the floor install is just common sense. No customer wants to clean their new floor, minutes after it was installed. They should have taken the extra time to wipe everything down so that I could be presented with a fresh new floor. All in all, I give Bryan’s Flooring a C and sadly, would not use them again. While the sales staff is friendly and personable, I believe they lack the expertise to ensure their customers get exactly what they are looking for, at least in my case.

Native Flooring came out Saturday to install vinyl plank & restretched three of our bedrooms and the hallway. He was on time and professional. Not to mention, my floors look great! He was so nice and very affordable! I plan on putting vinyl plank in the three bedrooms next year and I will definitely have Native Flooring come back to install it for me! Would definitely recommend Native Flooring to anyone looking for flooring services!

Double Eagle Construction

Originally got Double Eagle Construction off Service Master. Steve came out in March of 2012 and looked at what I wanted done. I told him I wanted it all done for about seven thousand dollars. He let me know at that point it was an unrealistic price. Steve was easy to talk with, he seemed to understand what I knew and explained what I did not know; - so I doubled my dollars and called him back in Feb. of 2013. He gave me an estimate I could pay for and started demolition the next week. Both Steve and his workers were easy to communicate with, flexible and respectful of us and our household. The project was finished within the time that I expected. Even though I changed my mind on paint color -door styles and cabinet doors got lost; I now have the bathrooms I envisioned ! No horror story, actually fun; spent more than I planned to and got exactly what I wanted ! Next year God willing,-- the master bath gutted and redone !

Exceptional!!! Bryan and his team were prompt, courteous, and true craftsmen. The project was done on budget, on time, and the finished floors and stairs are absolutely gorgeous. After the floors were complete, and my husband and I were moving the furniture back into the room, we managed to put a good size scratch in the floor with our VERY heavy adjustable bed. I totally freaked! Absolutely our fault, but Bryan had his crew back out to fix the problem and we're back to beautiful floors once again. Could not be more pleased, and highly recommend Temple-Johnson Floors to anyone considering hardwood floors!

Bert Henry Carpet and Tile, Inc.
5.0
I would absolutely hire Bert Henry again for my next flooring job. Not only is he a very professional business man but he is very personable as well. Bert came out the day after I contacted him about needing my floor done and was quick to take measurements, give his professional advice and get me a rough estimate. Once we decided on flooring I was promptly scheduled for my floor install. The employee that installed the flooring was very polite and professional and he did a fantastic job. Bert will be getting more business from me in the future.

Recent Review: Lee was great to work with. I had a hard time finding someone who would could repair the flooring and the door. Most contractors told me they would need to take up my entire floor just to repair the few pieces. Lee communicated promptly, did an excellent job (he's a perfectionist) and cleaned up afterwards. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. Would definitely use him again.

Recent Review: We had a nightmare at hand when we discovered that there was a leak somewhere in the bathroom that soaked the sheetrock and warped the wood floor. I got multiple quotes and selected One Galaxy because of Jaison's professionalism and ability to get started immediately. He tried a cheaper option of ripping just the wall but the problem compounded when mold was discovered and the source of leak was isolated to the shower lever. The only option was to rip up the existing shower, tiles, break the shower pan, rip up the moisture barrier and soaked sheetrock and damaged beams. Jaison worked patiently and diligently. He shared options at every stage. He was conscious of cost and aimed for precision in his work. Since I was busy at work, he even helped me procure the components needed. In the middle of the work, we discovered that the new Delta faucet that was replacing the old one was also leaking. After four different workarounds, we discovered that the new part itself was faulty. Jaison did not charge me extra and completed in 2 weeks. The end result is fantastic. It was an outstanding effort and I recommend him highly. (I have now asked him to replaced the kitchen faucet and the front door - which he is working on next).

Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.

Recent Review: Roberta, the sales rep and project manager, was very patient with all the changes I made regarding my granite choice. The company was hired to replace my kitchen counter tops and back splash. The installers showed up when scheduled and installed the granite and tile as agreed. The installers put down runners to protect my hardwood floors and cleaned up after themselves. They also hauled off the old counter tops instead of leaving them in from of my house. They did chip the edge of my granite but did send someone out to repair it and it looks good. The one negative that I can think of is that if you don't live in Dallas, it can be an issue selecting your granite slabs. I live in McKinney and the drive to the slab yards can take up to an hour depending on traffic. They close at 5 pm and are only open half a day on Saturday. It can be an issue if you have to work. Over all they did a good job and I am very happy with the final product.
