Reviews in Oklahoma City to Install Microwave

ER Services

After I made an appointment, I nearly cancelled after I was shown the other reviews. But based on a friends experience, I went ahead and took a chance on Rick and his team at ER Services. I dont know what was going on with him in 2014 when they were written but Rick will be back again and again at this house. I had purchased the wrong size microwave and my fence had fallen down in a section of the property (the post had broke). Rick's crew came out and replaced the post and a section of fence without me having to take off work, they cleaned up after themselves, and the repair looked perfect. Rick and I worked out a time for him to come out at a later day to hang my microwave. Since the microwave was taller than the one it replaced, other people were telling me to drilled into my tile.. which was something I was not comfortable with. Rick showed up with help, on time, and worked through the process of hanging a microwave that was bigger than it should have been for that spot. I mentioned that I also needed a hose hanger mounted outside, and he asked if I would like him to do that. Sure! His work was impeccable, his manners were on point, and his prices were very fair. Thank you ER Services. (I should have mention he went and bought all the supplies and hauled them to my house).

Shane's Handyman Service

Shane arrived promptly and was very efficient. He accomplished both tasks very quickly. The work areas were left clean. He even set the clock on the microwave. I showed him two other projects I needed done. He took care of one of them immediately, but didn't have the tools for the second. I will be calling him to do it later. He was professional and I would not hesitate to use him again.

Unlike other handymen I've dealt with, who are specialists masquerading as a handymen, Chet is a true handyman. Don't ask him what he can do. Ask him what he won't do. He can do virtually anything. He was honest, trustworthy, and professional and his price was very reasonable. I found him on Angieslist and took a chance on him after talking to several handymen. He exceeded my expectations and I was 100% satisfied with the job he did and his approach to everything. I will call him in the future.

Vic Vickers was very easy to work with and visited with us several times before we reached agreement on the scope of the work. After a couple of visits, when we were getting close to finalizing the scope of the job he brought in Billy McCallie of McCalie Construction to visit with us and take measurements to better prepare the estimate. At no time did we feel pressured or were asked for a deposit to give an estimate as others had. All of the sub-contractors were on time and professional, everyone made a special effort to clean up after themselves. Billy saw to it that all of the pieces came together and stayed on schedule. The only hold up came while waiting for a city inspection but they were able to do other work that wasn't related to the electrical inspection.. We were two weeks into the job when the tornado hit Moore and even though he had some issues related to the tornado Billy kept to the schedule and everything was completed as agreed to. Vic stayed in touch and visited several times to insure everything was being done to our satisfaction. We have recommended Handymen R Us to several people and we would definitely use them again.

Greg Andrews was extremely punctual. He was here every morning by 8 am and worked every day but one till 5 pm or later. He was exceptionally tidy, stopping to sweep or vacuum several times a day when necessary. He used drop cloths throughout every area where he was working. He was very pleasant, didn't mind me watching him while he worked at times. There were a couple of things we asked him to do that weren't part of the original deal, and he was very accommodating. He seems to be quite skilled in the areas of carpentry, plumbing and electrical, and tile setting. The whole job took him two weeks. Greg's wife, Debbie, was very instrumental in ordering all the tile, scheduling the pick-up of our used appliances, and helping with design/color decisions. I texted her many, many times in the weeks leading up to the start of de-construction. She was very patient with my many questions.

I have a special plan with them, and I have been using them for about 25 years. They have bought in other companies and made themselves larger. If you are part of their plan where they come in and check your work, there is no fee for anything except part. If you have problems, like I had a pipe break, and they had to come in, they sent their plumbers out. They have plumbers and electricians, and you don't pay anything additional. I have seen them coming out in half an hour, because I am a member. They will come next month to tune up the air conditioner. I have had them put in new gas lines put in, and they put in both the 220 lines and 110 lines, so if my wife wanted a microwave or a commercial oven, she can have it. They do just about everything that you want. If you need it, they will finance it. They keep track of you on the computer, and they will tell you when your service is coming up. They will change the filters for you, and they will come out and show it to you, and if you don't need it, they will clean it up and put it back, and tell you how long it will last.

Pros Extraordinaire. They completely gutted our kitchen down to the studs and rafters, insulation included. They dug a big scary hole in the concrete foundation and changed our range from electric to gas and moved the range to another wall; and then patched up the hole and cured my anxiety about the matter. They put an 11 or 12 foot long unusual looking beautiful granite counter top with chunks of quartz in the middle of the kitchen with joints so tight you can barely see them. We love it--my wife loves it is the best part. High quality stainless steel appliances. A beautiful range hood. A beautiful microwave that visitors think is a dishwasher. White cabinets are top quality with a flawless finish. Hot water dispenser. High quality kitchen hardware. Crown moulding all over the place. Beautiful divided light pocket doors. A blue/white/gray marbely backsplash behind the range that looks like a waterfall---very refreshing. Something called a fat jam with paneling. They painted all the wood work a beautiful white. Cherry wood flooring perfectly installed. They put in a huge lampshade shaped skylight in the ceiling that bathes our counter top with sunlight in the mornings. Gives the kitchen a crisp and quot;good morning look.and quot; Ms. Black designed and laid out the space so that it looks like it came with the house. Very up to date but not faddish. We shopped in her offices for appliances, knobs, and whatever. She not only designed and built the kitchen, but advised us on the pros and cons of various ideas. Trust her--she knows what she is doing. Very classic kitchen that will be beautiful for years to come. Looks like one of those pics in Traditional Homes, or Home and Garden---very magaziney looking. The craftmanship is superb. Every one who comes to our house comments on how beautiful our kitchen is--you can't help yourself---it is compelling. They took care of everything: plumbing, wiring, lighting, gas, what ever was needed. We did not have to lift a finger. And every time we had an idea they never tried to talk us out of it, but did everything possible to give us what we wanted--and she did. But here is the kicker. They were timely! We have been in this home a long time. In the last 25 years I have hired too many workers to count; and this company I can truly say did what they said they would do, for the money they said they would do it, and when they said they would do it. They took care of the details which separates the pros from the amateurs. These people are not a bunch of flimflam handy men/women looking to supplement their income---kitchen design is what they do---like you see on the TV Home and Garden shows. After a while I stopped wondering--Are they going to show up today? The same friendly, not drunk, cleanly dressed, articulate, honest, intelligent workers showed up everyday and worked all day. And on the few days they did not show up because of office meetings--you would be told before hand. The kind of folk you can leave in your house while you go shopping. No messing or fiddle-faddling around. They said they would be out in 3 months, and they might have been a little early. Amazing by any standard. By the end of the project we felt like we knew the workers. Sad to see them go but glad to have our house back. If you do not have the money to hire this company. Save up till you do because you simply cannot do what they do the way they do it. It was worth every penny. l like to take credit for having the sense to hire this company. After all I spent more than a year researching, and digging and sifting through dozens of handy men, contractors, do-it-yourselfers, advice from friends, and an assortment of shady charlatans to find this company---so give me my due.

We are a military family, stationed out-of-state, who plan to eventually retire back to an older house we have in Midwest City. The original house was built in 1955, with a garage conversion done at a latter date (1960's or 1970's) and a master suite addition built in 1993. We had kept the house rented out for the last eleven years and it was in serious need of renovation, partly due to age, partly due to renter damage/neglect. Since we don't live in the area, and my husband is currently deployed overseas, I needed to find an honest, good contractor who could handle all the extensive and varied work that needed to be done. Based on Angie's List recommendations, I contacted Vic Vickers and arranged to meet him at the house last April to discuss the project. I was very impressed with Vic from the first and, as he assured me he could handle it all as a general contractor, I accepted his bid and didn't interview anyone else. My renters moved out on June 30th and Vic's guys began their work on July 5th, completing it on Sept. 2nd. Vic's primary crew consisted of Jacob (crew leader) and Chance-- two young men who I found to be absolutely wonderful. They were always friendly, cheerful, and personable. They are honest, hard working and polite. They worked on the project most weekdays for nine weeks. On the days they weren't there, it was usually to do work for some of Vic's other customers, as they are very much in demand. On days that they needed extra hands, they brought in additional guys. As other Angie's List members have stated, they were very good to clean up the work site at the end of each day. My three children, two large dogs and myself stayed in the master suite while all the work was going on. The guys were really good about consulting me about everything, whether it was a problem that they had run into, or about details like where I wanted light fixtures placed. On the rare occasion that I found something done that I was less than satisfied with, they corrected it willingly and immediately. They offered some really good suggestions for some improvements and were very receptive to my own ideas. They were really tremendous and very knowledgable and skilled. Some of the work was subcontracted out like the fencing, the driveway and sidewalk, the hardwood floor repair and refinishing, most of the electrical, and the cabinetry and countertops. Vic uses excellent subcontractors. Vic's own guys did all the demo, construction, plumbing (including installing the tankless hot water heater and whirlpool tub), tile work, wall and ceiling repair, doors, trim, hanging of light fixtures, wall texturing, etc. I have to mention that the extensive tile work was especially nice and Jacob has a real designer's eye for it. Vic Vickers has proven himself to be a man of integrity and as knowledgable and honest as they come. I cannot say enough nice things about him and his crew! They turned my house around and made it into what is probably the nicest house in the entire neighborhood. The project by nature was stressful, but they did everything that could be done to reduce that stress and left me more than satisfied, feeling that I definitely got my money's worth and that our home investment has been both preserved and improved.
