This was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. Travis can on on time for the initial estimate appointment and truly listened to what I wanted. He made several good suggestions and options I had not thought about. I was needing a total redo of my yards both back and front along with a new deck. We had budgeted about $15K for this and his estimate came in at $17.5K. This was due to my decision to use Trex and not wood for the deck. I had at least 3 other estimates and Edmnd was in the middle. Travis worked with me to get the estimate closer to our budget and finished with a total cost of $16,400. The work crew showed up on time the morning it was scheduled to start. The total job took about 2 weeks to finish which I was very please with. The work crew was very professional and their quality of work was amazing. The deck had different grades and the access ramp was difficult. The ramp had to make a 90 degree turn onto the deck. Instead of the easy way of making a straght ramp from the side walk to a platform then another straight ramp to the deck he actually curved the ramp by curving the materials. It came out beautiful. They also made sure to put erosion fabric under the deck to prevent plant growth which I did not expect. Over all I was very pleased with the workmanship of the decking crew and the landscape crew.

Ramp was built and looks very nice. They cleaned up the area very well. Were very courteous during project. There was a slight overage on the original estimate but very little. I thought the owner could have been more professional in that he did not give receipts when you made a payment and I had to ask three separate times for a final receipt for my tax purposes at the end of the project. Also asked for an estimate on another project and all I ever got was a two line estimating the cost - which increased 3 times before he gave me the final one. When I informed him I could not afford that much at this time he seems put out with me and that was the end of my dealing,.

Luke listened to exactly what we wanted, made suggestions that would meet our needs but save us some money and the next thing we. From the first post to the final nail, it was very clear that he and his crew were professionals. Luke and his crew did the little things that distinguish good companies from great companies. Stopping their work and moving out of the way so one or more of us could easily get in or out of the house and lending us a hand so we wouldn't slip or fall. There was so much more, but they made it so natural, it's hard to even remember it all. We were so pleased with the work that photos were up on Facebook before the crew had their tools put away. After the deck was finished, Luke took a very close look at everything and saw one board that didn't meet his standards. The next morning we heard some equipment running outside and there was Luke, taking off the board the he wasn't happy with and replacing it. (We were happy and would never have complained about it.) Luke and crew are the best we have worked with. We have more work we want done and have no question who will be doing it. Thank you Luke and share our heartfelt thanks with your crew.

Deck Masters is a good name for this company and John Hyatt, the owner, in particular. They did a very professional job. I could tell throughout the construction process that they took pride in the details of the project. The methods they used in the construction were well thought out and their attention to detail that would made their finished product not only beautiful but the end product would be one that last for decades. John and his crew were respectful of my property and left the worksite clean when the project was completed. I also appreciated the advice that was given as to the maintenance of the deck once it was completed.

Luke and his crew did an excellent job building a very sturdy deck with roof and the ramp. The finished product turned out beautiful and is better than we had planned. The only draw back during the whole process was the rain delay which could not be helped. They kept us informed and listened well to any concerns as well as answering questions that we had. We are very proud of the job they did for us and would recommend them to anyone!

The work on both projects was excellent and quick. We had gotten other bids and the bid on the ramp was the same as other companies, but the bid on the floor was a little more expensive. We went with this company even though it was a higher bid because he gave me a sense of honesty and customer satisfaction while estimating.

I left a message Friday and John called me back fairly quickly. I told him we wanted to add a deck onto our existing concrete patio and asked if he could give us an estimate. We agreed on a time of 1:00pm Saturday afternoon. At 1:08 he called me and said he was getting pulled over for speeding and he would be late. It's now 5:06pm and he hasn't responded to my calls or text. Not sure what happened but I'd guess he got arrested otherwise he would have been by to give the estimate.

We were very impressed with Bill Weatherford when first meeting him. He arrived at our home when he said he would. He was detailed when describing what he would do. He made wonderful suggestions. He provided us with a good list of references. Within 2 days he provided us with a detailed estimate of the work to be performed. He is a meticulous craftsman, careful attention to detail, a perfectionist! The work sites were cleaned throughly after each work day. He has very reliable support workers, electricians and stain finishers. He proved himself to be a man of integrity by returning to complete a very small chalking job with the correct color just as he said he would. We plan to hire him again for another job.

The doors are sticking. He replaced the boards with the wrong kind of wood. He painted over top of leaves and debris on the deck. He was to replace carpet in one room but the carpet got soaked in the rain. The deck is still half finished.

Other than two issues their work was outstanding, especially their finishing carpenter. That guy is top notch! Three years later we have been very satisfied with their work other than the following two issues: 1) third wide drive began crackeling on top of pavement about 1.5 years later. It continues to crumble but they will not do anything. 2) the electric outlet installed on the outside wall of the room addition has never worked. Contacted them about 9 months later once realized this and was told they would send an electrician out. Never happened and contacted them two more times regarding this same issue and nobody ever came. Three years later it is still a dead outlet. We did ask them to come out again in the spring of 2015 for a quote on a potential garage addition. Told the same salesman about the outlet and the drive while he was there and he said he would look into it. We didn't end up doing the garage addition and I have never heard back from him. The salesman was always good to show up quickly when it was time to collect another payment, but not so speedy when you needed something. He seemed to have an attitude at times with me as a customer. Maybe it was just a simple conflict of personalities as the owner who came out and met with my wife really impressed her. Over all we would use them again for their quality of work, but only if we could get the other two issues fixed and deal with a different salesman.

Recent Review: Rick and his two hard working helpers started on Monday, May 4th.(Note: It was planned as a 5-6 day job) Removed all decking surfaces and support structures underneath. As part of this process, he discovered that most of the gazebo's vertical support beams had rotted out at ground level. Using additional wood, he braced the gazebo roofing providing added structural support because of dire and severe weather forecasts. THEN ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 6TH, IT STARTED RAINING AND IT RAINED BUCKET LOADS FOR ALMOST THE NEXT FOUR WEEKS (it seems like). IT WAS THE WETTEST MONTH OF MAY STATEWIDE SINCE RECORD KEEPING STARTED. The rain finally stopped and allowing the ground to dry out, he started again on Tuesday, June 2nd and completely finished the project on Monday, June 6th. Although planned, removing the under deck structures took time and removing the earth (and hauling it off) was an additional burden during the first two days. This also took significant effort after he started again after the rain. During part of the next four days, he and his helpers began installing the new below ground wooden support beams and their concrete pilings on which they rested. By late Friday, laying the new decking was well underway. The gazebo problems presented additional issues which Rick took care of as he went along. THE RESULTING NEW DECKING AND REPAIRS TO THE GAZEBO ARE ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. IT LOOKS GREAT. MY WIFE AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.
