New York Tristate Area Fireplace Repair

I moved into a townhouse that had it listed as a non-functioning fireplace. I had no idea what was wrong with it. Brian quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and quickly returned and completed the repair. He was very thorough in his work by checking all components, cleaning them, and even caulking around the outside vent. He was very punctual and just a real pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him. He is a real professional.

Kevin is the best!! If you're looking for a professional, knowledgeable, courteous, fair and just a plain old nice and decent person Kevin is your guy! Excellent job. The owner was able to diagnose the problem with our generator. He made a sound recording and video documenting the problem and sent it to the generator company enabling us to receive new parts under the warranty. Mr. Byrne then installed those parts and fixed the generator. We have since used New Grange for all our electrical needs.

We hired Quality 1st to inspect and sweep the chimney in our new home. Oscar and his partner arrived early, were very professional, and left no mess behind. Oscar informed us of a problem with the fireplace damper and offered to replace the broken part, rather than claiming the whole damper needed to be replaced. He fixed it on the spot for a fraction of what it would've cost if we had had someone less honest do the repair. With the damper fixed, we can already see a noticeable difference in the temperature of our home! After working with this company I am confident that we can safely use our fireplace for the first time! We will be hiring them again for our annual chimney sweeps.

I had used Joe Carty before to repair rotted wood casings and other exterior trim on my house and was extremely happy with the work and cost of the job. Recently, we were in the process of a corporate buyout after we transferred to a new job location and received a lengthy list of repairs that needed to be done before the company would assume the house. The repairs ranged from new panels for our hot tub to evaluating some moisture in our attic to removing a fireplace hearth board and fixing a damaged door. Joe was quick to complete the work making the process of working through our punch list painless and easy. I would highly recommend Joe for small repairs; I also know he does larger jobs and am sure the quality and attention to detail would be the same.

Andre was kind enough to talk to me(it's snowing heavily outside, so this might be a good time for me to call more contractors!). The homes I'm looking at are in Nassau County, and his company doesn't service outside Queens/Brooklyn (Angie's List needs to work on this distinction!!!) He still gave me a general rundown of what he looks for, when examining a chimney for repair, and what the estimated costs might be. I really appreciated his willingness to discuss chimney repair, even though he was not available for the potential job.

We have know and trusted SANTOS, and his team, for decades. He is a superb carpenter and knowledgeable in all areas of home building and repair. He comes up with solutions for any job, small or larger, inside or outside the home, that needs repair. He has helped my husband and I install stone columns in front of his place of business. He diligently found the leaking in our home’s roof and walls and expertly rebuilt the entire side of the kitchen and walls. I think I have a photo. There are too many jobs to list. (April 2019) My Mom has now hired SANTOS and his team to repair, sand, prime and paint her entire house and she is so happy I recommended him and now her neighbor has him booked! He’s busy but worth the wait if you can hire him.

Best Way's Roger Hoelderlinderlin and his assistant John came over first for just an estimate. He was extremely professional and gave me a written estimate. He explained all the options and gave me prices for everything. I had a problem with my chimney cap and I was looking to install a wood burning stove. I also wanted him to inspect my gas boilers liner. He spent a lot time explaining everything and was not pushy or giving me a hard sell. He showed me for myself exactly what he didn?t like about the previous installed liner, how it was undersized and of cheap quality. There was no pressure, Roger said he could make it work if I wanted and he could just redo connections but I was so impressed with his knowledge and far price that I decided to have him reline the entire gas boiler side. When doing the job he found newspaper stuffed around liner, used as insulation! This is HIGHLY flammable and I am so glad I had him do the liner over. After that he answered numerous questions about options on purchasing a wood insert for my fireplace. Once I decided on a wood burning insert he pick that up and installed that flawlessly. This included installing another 6 inch lifetime guarantee liner. I am extremely happy with the work. This guy knows how to treat his customers. We are very lucky to have found him, thanks AngiesList and thanks again Roger.

John was very thorough and helpful. He came out on a Saturday to look at everything (on very short notice) and came back on Sunday to do the sweep and fix our cap. He is very honest and didn't make us do any unnecessary sweeps or replace our chimney cap that was damaged. He fixed the chimney cap instead, saving us money. He even replaced our broken light bulb in our flood light as he was up on the roof anyhow. He showed up when he said he would and notified us via text when he was on his way. Great communication. He cleaned up after he was done. I highly recommend Royal Chimney.

they were prompt and professional. they were expensive but you get what you pay for. The owner noticed a flaw and fixed it right away and he did it himself. Had many color choices and was personable. Spectacular. I expected that they would come and inspect the chimney, and then have to order parts for the repair - so I had 90 minute window for them to come and do that. They found the problem (damper was bent and hitting the inside of the chimney), and ran back to the shop to get a new damper - and then came back to the house and fixed it, all within that 90 minute window.

The owner, Joe, was highly communicative every step of the way and you cannot beat that kind of customer service. How did I find them? I was frantically calling around one morning to try to find someone to help us after a chimney fire in our new home, which needed to be fixed right away. After many calls and much stress, I found Five Star. Joe came out to see the job and give a quote only a few hours later. Joe and his crew started soon after and finished the job in the amount of time they promised (another rarity!). Joe walked me through each step, helped me to pick out some of the materials and had no problem advising me when I needed a good sounding board. It was a big job and the work came out beautiful. I really could not be happier with Five Star and they deserve this raving review. I will not hesitate to call Five Star again!

Paul was on-time, inspected the fireplace, chimney and furnace, gave me a quote, and was able to fix everything right there (the visit was originally for an inspection, but he had time to repair it during the same visit). Everything was neat and clean when he left. I've used him 2-3X before, and have always been very satisfied with the work.

I live in Queens, NY. Best Way Chimney installed a damper fixing our chimney a few years ago, somehow the damper was not opening properly and we were not able to use it for Holiday (perhaps because of storm or other reasons). we contacted the company 2 days before X-mass and Mr. Roger who had previously worked on our chimney came the same day and took care of the problem. I highly recommend the company for their professionalism and fairness.
