It was wonderful. They were punctual and the service was excellent over all. I signed up with them to buy oil from them.

Salesman was sleazy. They sub out the excavation. Their pricing was terrible (use tank masters instead). They wanted to match prices until the time it came to do so and then they weren't interested in doing so. Note, this report is only about their tank installation and removal service. We had used them for fuel and burner service for 40+ years. They seem to do a good job on that, though I cannot speak to their prices.

The entire process would have been completed in one day except for the town inspector's schedule. Instead the tank was removed from ground in one morning, and then the hole was filled and tank removed from the property the next morning after the inspector had confirmed that there were no leaks from the tank. Sidewalks were protected and a couple indentations in lawn left by backhoe treads were filled in with soil. There was no damage to shrubs and trees that were near the tank.

Had the oil tank in my basement replaced. They put down blankets and tarps to avoid damaging floors when wheeling in new tank. They saved the oil in my old tank, pumping it out to a tank in their truck, and later pumped it back into new tank. Old tank was cut up into pieces and carried out by hand. Workers were experienced and explained what they were doing. I took about 3 hours and went smoothly. I gave a B on the price only because I didn't get enough estimates to be sure that this was the absolute best price.

It seemed to go fine EXCEPT. They left the biggest mess in my house. They tracked mud throughout my finished basement which is partially carpeted. No attempt was made to cover the floor, turn off lights when they were finished, or clean up after themselves. I had inches of mud all over the place and had to have my rug shampooed as well as every room mopped several times to get the floors clean again. The worst part was when I discovered the oil fill was now located in the back of the house which we thought was going to be fine, but was not reachable for the oil to be delivered. Grazi 1 assured us the oil truck would have no problem coming up the driveway to deliver oil in the back of the house. When I called to say the oil company refused to deliver ever again to us, Michael, the owner, started screaming at me. He said it was my husbands fault for insisting on the location in the back (this was a lie). When I tried to point out that he Michael had assured my husband this was a good location, and he and his son approved the idea, he said they were not responsible for advising customers. "You just better pay the bill," was all he said. Funny, since I never threatened not to pay the bill. The point is he never made a suggestion to solve the problem. There are many companies that remove tanks and install new ones. Learn early. Go elsewhere. This place doesn't give you any bargain and they sure aren't worth the aggravation and mess you will have. So sorry I used them. They are very inexperienced and very nasty when they come to work.

New tank installed. Paid bill in full with understanding that at a later date old tank would be foamed, old fill and vent lines cut and old oil lines in basement be removed. Have called 3 times this week 4/6, 4/7 & 4/8 asking when job will be completed. Keep being told that there are many people waiting for abandonment completion. Never even a call back with an approx. date! They have all my money. NEED JOB COMPLETED SO THAT I CAN FIX MY PATIO!

Fuel tank guys were amazing. After spending $15k for the work I had to have Meenan come back three times. Once for water leaking from an over tightened fitting and twice for no heat calls. Also, I had an issue with “wash down”. This occurs with new energy efficient boilers that don’t send as much heat up through the chimney, thus condensation occurs and that condensation runs back down into the boiler and then spills a sooty discharge all over my floor that I needed to scrape up with a spackle knife. I needed to have a stainless chimney liner installed. The rep that sold me this equipment should have told me this. The mech that came to check out the chimney told me that “wash down” can destroy a boiler. Also, Meenan’s billing department is horrendous.

I received 2 quotes for the entire package to remove my above ground 275 gal oil tank, install a new above ground oil tank and abandon my old 550 gal buried oil tank. I chose C2G because they were the most responsive and they provided many options for the new tank. After finalizing everything with the office (this took several rounds of questions and answers, all of which went smoothly), I signed the contract. Scheduling took a little while and I had to phone the office again to find out the service date. There was a little confusion on their part as to whether someone had contacted me with the date or not. Nonetheless, I had a date and the crew showed up promptly on that date. Jimmy's crew was terrific. They quickly and efficiently transferred the oil from my above ground tank into barrels, uninstalled the above ground tank and cut it into pieces. They installed my new 400 gal Roth tank, which looks terrific because it will not rust like my 275 above ground tank did, and pumped the oil from the barrels back into my new tank. They then hand dug down to the in-ground tank and cut out a circle in the top, enough room for 1 man to fit through. They had previously explained to me the process for the abandonment. A crew member, completely garbed in protective suit, gloves and respirator, climbs down into the tank. He buckets out all the remaining sludge and inspects the interior of the tank to ensure it has not split and leaked out into the surrounding soil. If your tank has leaked, then you must dig up the tank, remove it as well as all contaminated soil. That can potentially cost a bundle so you're pretty nervous about that inspection. My tank had not split and leaked so, once all the sludge was bucketed out, the crew filled the tank with sand. That wrapped up the work. The only problem I had was that it rained like mad the very next day and the man-size hand dug hole to the in-ground tank sunk about 3 feet. I notified C2G and they made 2 additional, separate trips to re-fill the sink hole. They were very diligent in getting back to me and ensuring the sink hole was taken care of. I was very impressed they did that. It says a lot about their professionalism and dedication to their customers. I love my new tank, it is much larger than my old one so I can take advantage of oil pricing by my ability to purchase larger quantities of oil. It will never rust and it looks pretty good as well. I am so relieved to have my old in-ground tank properly and officially abandoned and I have a Certificate of Abandonment from C2G who is qualified to issue such a certificate. This will mean quite a bit in the future if and when I sell my home. I highly recommend C2G to everyone!

I decided to abandon my buried oil tank before it caused problems. I've owned the house for 21 years and it was here well before that. Although I played some telephone tag with the salesman, once we connected, he came to the house, laid out the options , and we scheduled the new tank and abandonment. I opted for a stainless steel tank installed in my boiler room. The guys who did the install were neat, and polite. They did a clean job and were very professional. I spoke with the owner regarding abandoning/escavation-removal options and his information was very helpful in allowing me to make a well informed decision. The price was very competetive, and the service great. I didn't have to be home for the abandonment , done a few days later. They also did a clean job. BTW, they were able to transfer most of the oil fron the old tank to the new one.

From beginning to end, C2G was professional and attentive. They worked with us in getting the permit required, and they got the job scheduled quickly. The two men who came to remove the tank were extremely nice, did the job quickly and efficiently, and totally cleaned up afterwards - you would never know they were there. Their price was right, too, compared to other quotes. I would highly recommend them.

After moving into our house and discovering the oil tank at the 1/8 mark, I called Fowler for assistance. It was the same day in which a major snow storm was scheduled to hit in the evening. The home office told me that they couldn't ensure same day delivery but would make every effort to come by. They arrived that afternoon with the service tech being professional and friendly. I was also asked if I wanted my boiler serviced since it had last been done 2 years ago. Will definitely use them again.

The quote came so quickly and with many options without coming out to see job. I was very concerned because it was not my oil delivery company or an in town company. However, the "local" guys took days to make an appointment just to give me a quote and then could not schedule the work for weeks. My tank was weeping so I didn't want to wait. C2G came out within a week. A clean, well equipped truck pulled up to my house and before i could unlock the doors- the techs were unloading a new tank. I thought only 2 men?? However, is that all it takes when they know what they are doing. Old tank emptied, remove, they cleaned everything then installed new tank, new fill pipes, new lines to furnace and refilled tank. They ran the furnace for awhile to check all the fittings. Then came the paperwork- I thought for sure they were going to add to the quote-NO. I really am impressed with the techs and this job. Thank you. P.S. I applied for the town permit to save money and time. C2G supplied all the paperwork in a super timely manner and the town inspector was pleased with thier work

Business Description: Tri-State Hot Water specializes in restoring hot water caused by hard water deposits in your coil and hot water tank. Hard water is microscopic mineral deposits or sediment such as iron, calcium, limestone, and sometimes sand. In cases where a coil is used, the deposits restrict the heat transfer as water passes through the coil. When a water tank is used, the deposits act as a barrier or insulator between the heat source and the water which requires more energy to heat the water. Every half inch of sediment on the bottom of the heater will require 60 to 70% more fuel to heat the water. Once the sediment is removed, the water becomes hotter and the showers are longer.

Recent Review: Just bought a 100 year old house and even though septic was checked prior to closing, we started immediately having issues with the line to the tank. Called Sloboda Brothers in the morning and got a call back from John as soon as he finished working. He spent a generous amount of time explaining all of the various possibilities, and suggested I do a die test prior to his arrival in the hopes that the issues is caused by a small but constant leak from one of the toilets. Keeping fingers crossed that's the case, but in any event I cannot imagine most people taking time to explain the process so thoughtfully. Very honest and helpful!

Recent Review: Great. The scan done by the buyer indicated 2 areas. One was indicated as a 500 gallon oil tank previously abandoned. The other area was much smaller. We assumed it was a small piece of metal or a tool. Oil tank turned out to be 1500 gallons and the other item was a crushed old water tank. They didn't charge me that much more due to the size of the oil tank and charged me a small fee for the water tank. I knew possible costs upfront.
